More house pictures

Here are some pictures of the house. The kitchen stills needs some doors put on and painted. But we are definitely making progress. it really looks so very different then when we started. We completely tore out the kitchen, extended it and added an island instead of a peninsula.

This is what my cabinets will look like when finished. I chose an antique white. My father in law is making my cabinets and they look so good! I got to pick out the style and they are exactly what I wanted them to be. Never thought I would have custom cabinetry in my home. This picture does not do them justice. They look so much better in person.
Scott did our ceiling lights. We will be continuing them into the dining room. We're just waiting for the weather to cool down so Scott can go into the attic without having a heat stroke.
I really love everything about the kitchen. I have to personally pick everything out myself.

Living room- I just need to get my curtains made and a big throw rug for the floor. We're trying to think of a way to do an entertainment center. Since the room is so small we dont want anything big. So the black shelves are just temporary.

This house was built in the 70s and they never had any blinds. So we had faux wood blinds installed. They have made the house look a lot more finished.
The hall and other side of the living room. I'm still decorating. I had to get rid of a lot of my decorations from my old house cause everything way too big. So im starting all over.

Baseboards! I LOVE them. My step dad got these and had them installed. They are perfect!
Here are a few pictures of the house as we worked.
The master bedroom carpet. We had really nice carpet installed. it is so soft.
The kids rooms. I told my boys to pretend they like each other. they were pretty happy to have their room.

Heres one of the outside after a lot of cleanup. Now to just get the sprinklers working so we can have grass and plants.
Me working. Demo is pretty fun!!
Unfortunately the previous owners left us lots and lots of trash. We have taken that trailer to the dump a lot and still have several loads left. Thank goodness for a dump trailer or this would have taken us forever to unload.

I've got lots to catch up on. But i'll start with us moving.

We moved out of Queen Creek! We found an acre in a great area where we have always dreamed of living. So here's our journey through a fixer-upper. It's been rough, but fun making it our home. This top picture is of the day we came to look at it. It's a small home, but big enough for us. You can't beat the area and the land.
After we cleaned up some. We took out a huge rose bush that was dying and 2 mesquite trees out of the front yard. I wished i would have gotten a better picture of the front yard before we did all the work.
None of this stuff is ours. But this is the best picture I had of the kitchen. Don't you just love the turquiose and peach flooring!!
 kitchen and dining room.
living room and front door
bathroom- the colors make me think of a Matta's bathroom.
hall- one thing I love about this house is thats thers's no wasted spaces. Every space was used well, with closets.
 Living room-front door
Living room- the windows in the house are huge!
 Dining room and back door.
Kitchen as we started ripping everything out

After the carpet has been ripped out. That door took me more than 3 coats of paint to cover. I don't really understand the color choices this house had.
Kitchen completely ripped out and the popcorn ceilings taken off. You would not even believe the differnce in how the house looks with the popcorn ceilings gone. It's amazing!!
My awesome Step-Dad came and put this walkway from the front door to the driveway.
 Love it!!
My favorite part of the house is the backyard. It's gorgeous. We've got 3 pecan trees. 2 orange, grapefuit, 2 peach, 2 apple, 2 mulberry and a huge pine tree. I need to go out and take some more pictures while everything is so pretty right now. Everything is not done yet. But it looks a million times better. I will get some updated pictures up soon.

Monster jam! The kids look bored to death. but they really enjoyed it. I was trying to get them to yell and clap with me but all they would do was clap ....
Scott and Carter looke mch more excited! Im pretty sure that Scott and i had the most fun. Him a little more than me. He kept going on and on how awesome it was. I love to see him excited about things. He doesnt show much emotion so i love when i get to see it.

We took Kenzi to the dr and carter loves his wrangler jeans. we get to the drs office and we see our dr before we get into the room and he says, very loudly, 'im wearing my wrangwers' the dr couldnt understand him but the had all the nurses laughing.
