Nativity

On Sunday we got together at my sister Stephanie's house to have some appetizers, soups and some hot drinks and to let the kids dress up and act out the nativity. My sister is such a great host and had some delicious food and drinks. After eating and visiting for a while we got ready to read and act out the nativity. The kids actually cooperated and they really enjoyed getting dressed up. We needed a few more animals, I guess so my Mom and I stepped in. :) We played some chimes and visited the rest of the night.

Temple Square

My brother Kyle and his wife Heather invited us to go up to Temple Square on Friday night. My parents and oldest sister Stephanie and her family joined us as well. Traffic was horrible do to normal five o clock traffice but also due to the fact that David Archuletta was performing at the conference center. It took 2 hours of driving and trying to find parking before we arrived. We had to all laugh at that point. The kids were watching Polar Express so they didn't seem to really care. Temple Square was not that busy though and we had a lot of fun. It was the first time that we had taken the kids and the first time that Tommy had gone so it was well over 10 years since I had been. Bailey loved all the purple and pink lights :) The kids also loved going into the vistors center and looking at everything. It did not end up feeling as cold as I thought it would, so that made it nice. We had a great time together and it was worth it in the end :)

Christmas Party

This morning I had the chance to help once again for Caleb's Christmas party. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! The kids were all so cute and their was so much excitement. We read Christmas stories and made Gingerbread houses. The kids made the cutest little houses and not one was the same. Of course, their was also a lot of frosting and candy consumption along the way. We also did a pinata and again the kids were so well behaved and no one got hurt :) We came home and Caleb wanted Tommy and I to open up our Christmas present from him. He was so excited and it was the best present, his little hand print wrapped in homemade wrapping paper. Man did that bring back memories I remember making the same thing for my parents. It was such a great gift and he was so proud and excited!! It truly made my day!

Winter Wonderland

We woke up to a winter wonderland on Sunday the 28th of November. It was the first really big snowfall of the year. The kids could not wait to get outside and have a "towball" fight (as said by Bailey). We bundled them up and off they went. They dove right in, made snow angels and Bailey just wanted to keep eating it. They had a blast!! We came in and had hot chocolate and warm oatmeal. Hope we get a few more good storms in for the kids to enjoy.

Thanksgiving Party

For Caleb's Thanksgiving Class Party we had a Thanksgiving Feast with turkey, mashed potatoes, rolls, stuffing and pumpkin pie. They also got to chose to make either a Indian or Pilgrim hat. I love being in the classroom and helping out with these parties.
