and held their charge long enough for me to snap some pictures! I think they just barely had enough juice. Anyone know how long rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries last? I know cell phones have switched to Lithium Ion. I also know that I have one type of rechargeable batteries and their charger, the FH has a set too. Is it worth it for me to invest in my own set. Who knows, right, because these are really personal issues.

Anyway back to the fabulous kit I got from Andromeda!

I received a lovely kit today (which I cyber-stalked since she gave me the DC number). Sadly I cannot utilize my cell phones camera to get the photos on here, so I'll have to actually have to charge batteries! Regardless its an excellent kit including press credentials!

Test

There is something about when the FH is here that drastically effects my computering. Having him for more than a week was fabulous; however, I barely got to knit and barely checked anything online. I kinda liked it (minus the not knitting).

So I'd like some feedback on that bit. The FH hates my knitting. Hate may be a strong word, so I don't think the entire word/emotion associated with it is exactly right, but its close. His main issue is that he doesn't think that I can be knitting and still pay attention to what is going on (which I think we all know is inaccurate). I understand that he enjoys having my full attention, and so I ask permission (i.e. "would you mind?") when we're just sitting in front of the tv relaxing. My issue is that it keeps coming back up as the thing that annoys him most, and part of that was the engaged couples class we took through the church this weekend. We both felt like there were some things that we had to pull up that we'd already worked through. Good exercises, but some reminders of the not so good stuff.

So any thoughts? Similarities? Ideas of great words I can use to explain it? (Probably not since really we've got it worked out...)

So for the last week my completed kit was ready to do. My owl, Pearl, refused to go before I checked with the recipient to confirm her location.

I did, and left Pearl to take the kit at her leisure.

I came home from work day after day, just assuming that Pearl was having some really fun midnight adventures and therefore needed to sleep through the day. Lucky girl!

As the week dragged on, the package stayed by my window. What could be wrong with Pearl? I confirmed the address, she understood that it needed to leave by today, and yet it stayed by the window.

Then, the little bird stayed out all day today!

Sadly, I have had to resort to the muggle post to get this package to its destination.

Does anyone know a good owl-whisperer?

Here are the answers to this week's assignment...

Puzzle 1: Dobby

Puzzle 2: Harry Potter

Puzzle 3: Hogs Head

In other news I finally went to the Infirmary in hopes of getting some relief from the mysterious rash (I personally suspect a Gryffindor). Madam Pomfery ordered a steroid injection followed by five days worth of steroids. It has provided some very quick relief that I hope continues. The FH advised not working out until I'm off the juice so as not to develop greater strength than he. Any thoughts on that?

It's my mom's birthday!

My sister and I both drove home (separately) to surprise her!

It resulted in one long day yesterday ending in a long drive up interstate five in the dark. Luckily I had a large dirty chai latte and a good talk with a friend to keep me awake and alert!
