Cate 7 months

Well, let's see what all has happened since our last post. Sister is mobile! She started crawling a couple of weeks ago. She's goes from laying to sitting to crawling and pulled up and stood for a second last night. She really doesn't like to crawl and wants to stand up so bad. I guess watching brother run around makes her want to do the same. She is fascinated by him.

Easter and Baptism

Here are pics from Cate's Baptism and from Easter. Time is flying by. Cate is 5 months now! She is such a sweet baby and I think big brother is finally accepting her and even likes her...most of the time!

Holidays 2009

I have some catching up to do! I posted these in reverse order from latest to November. We had a fun and interesting holiday season with a newborn and a 2 year old.

Carter has no interest in going in the potty, but thought that it was a good idea for Barney!

sister weighed 10 lbs 4 oz at her 2 month check up, middle of the road, although the cheeks may lead you to believe otherwise

The family picture proved more difficult than I would have liked!

NOT wanting to have his picture made

This was Rob's one moment of peace from Carter. He loves his Uncle Rob and thought they should be playing at all times. Chief did provide a little relief for Rob!

I guess the biggest event in the Rowe house, aside from Cate's arrival, was hair-gate 2009.
I think we all know what they say about good intentions, well my husband can tell you if you don't know. In an attempt to "help" me out, Cory took Carter and got his hair cut without telling me right before I was about to have his 2 year picture made. Now some of you may have agreed that it needed it, but I think most will agree with me that the boy's claim to fame was his golden locks. Well, as you can see from above pictures, (which are several weeks past the haircut) it is no more(but of course I still think he's the cutest boy in the world!) This occured about 2 or 3 weeks after Cate was born so you can imagine how my already unstable state of mind handled this. I have moved forward and no longer cry when I look at pictures. Cory is pretty much out of the dog house (for that anyway) and learned a very valuable lesson...I'll let you ask him about it!

2 weeks

Cate was 2 weeks old yesterday! We had a great checkup at the doctor. Sister is long(90th percentile) and thin (10th percentile...and yes she eats plenty!) .( I'm checking to make sure she wasn't switched at birth!)

Isabelle, Carter and Cate...very brave or stupid of me I know (Katie was standing by in case he decided to throw her down!)

Catherine Lee Rowe

Well, one week later and I'm finally posting our big day! We welcomed Cate into the world on Monday, November9, 2009 at 2:32 p.m. She weighed 6 lbs 10 oz and was 19.5 inches. She is so sweet and we are adjusting to our new "normal".

First family picture: note, Carter got a hit in after this sweet picture, just to put her in her place! He really has been sweet and is going to be a great big brother.

Carter is 2!!

My baby turned two on Sunday!! It is so much fun, and sad at the same time, watching him go from baby to little boy. He is so funny and is constantly doing something to make us laugh. We had a nice family party for him on Saturday evening. He loved all of his presents and was a really good boy, considering he didn't nap all day.

He thoroughly enjoyed his dinner of cheetos dipped in ketchup...don't ask me it was his birthday!

riding his new gator
snacking with PawPaw and Nana
swinging with Aunt Leslie on his new swingset...note to parents, they are playing a sick joke on you when the directions say that two relatively skilled carpenters can put this together in one day!
