1 year Pictures

So as you all know, Macade turned 1 in November. So it is time for his annual picture. Well this year our budget is a tad bit tighter so we are not going professional this year. I decided to try my own pictures. That went just swell. Macade would not sit still, he would not smile, it was a mess. But i did manage to get a few shots in. Here are some of my favorites, but i am going to touch them up a bit with that wonderful photoshop. Just soften the lighting, rid the redeye and such. But i must say, he is cutie. And they are decent for being taken by me. But we are going at it again so that we get a few in a different outfit. We will see if my patience will last.

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas

So, it took me a while this year to get my decorations out, but they are done. We bought the tree this week and i finally got it all decorated along with all the cute things around the home. It just gets me in the holiday mood. Although our tree is looking a bit naked underneath. I guess i should pull out those gifts in hiding and wrap them up. Yeah, well that is going to have to happen when my little Macade is not around to rip the paper, pull the strings, carry the gifts and hide them somewhere to be found another day. Whew, the joys of a child.

Macade decided he was going to help me with the lights on the tree. He is mamas little helper.
Here is the finished product. I kind of like it.

And here is the fireplace all decorated cute. The bathroom and kitchen are done too but i did not feel like running around the house taking pictures. Sorry. But our little home looks so cute all done up!!

Happy Birthday

Macade turned 1 on November 1st. It was a fun day. We opened gifts, ate cake and ice cream and played with new toys. It was a fun day.

Ok, ok, i have to brag for a moment. The cake was made by me. All of it including the cake pan, and the frosting job. I am so proud of myself. It was really fun too.

First Halloween

Macade had his first halloween. It was so fun. We carved pumpkins with some friends a few nights before. Macade loved the pumpkins. He loved helping daddy clean out all the icky filling. We call them Pumpkin guts.

For Halloween he was a little puppy. And one cute puppy he was too. We went to our Ward Trunk-Or-Treat. We decorated our car and had spooky music playing. It was a fun halloween. Macade loved the back of the car.

New Couches

Finally after saving for quite some time we got our new couches. Beautiful Microfiber Suede. They are so nice and comfy and you don't feel like you are sitting on the floor.

A Night at the Fair

The Puyallup fair is going on. They do it every year in September and we packed up our gear and headed out to the fair with two of our good friends, Jesse and Jessica. We just walked around and enjoyed being out.

I was craving a Carmel Apple and it seems as though my treat turned into someone elses!!

Of Course, We all know that Macade has no fear and loves animals. We learned this from the zoo, so we headed to all the animals at the farm and once again Macade loved it. Here he is playing with the Sheep. And of course we had to wash our hands after the animals, Macade just likes to play in the sink, but we manage to soap up his hands and wash it. In the process i get a full bath.

While we were sitting down enjoying some good old fashioned BBQ macade took the pickle from Cory's plate and had at it. He loved it. It was so funny to watch him suck the juice from it.

Over all it was a great night at the fair. How can you not have fun at the fair.

Pictures from California

So i said there would be more pictures to come. I had to get them from my mom. These are just a few of the great shots we got while Macade and I went home to California. These were some of the last pictures of my dad while he still had his head of hair.

Another Toy...

It is so funny to think that people spend so much money on these big fancy toys to keep their kids happy when all you need to do is open up the dishwasher and let your kid have at it. Well it is that way with Macade at least. He loves the dishwasher. He will be in the other room and hear you open it up to empty it or load it and he is there in a flash to help you. All he likes to help with is unloading it though, even if we are trying to load it.

Real Food

Macade has been slowly starting to eat real food. Now that he has more teeth, 8 to be exact, he loves to eat what mom and dad are eating. So he usually gets a little bit of whatever we eat. Here he got his first grilled cheese sandwhich. You can tell at first he does not know what to think of it, but now it is one of his favorite foods! He just learned how to feed himself so we are moving right along with him. Soon you will be seeing pictures of him walking. It has already almost been 1 year. its crazy!

California Lovin'

Macade and I decided that we would take a week off life and go and visit my parents down in good old Cali. My mom had to go to Utah to clean up their condo's for the new tenants and with my dad being sick we really could not leave him home by himself. So I packed up my gear (which is not a little when your packing for a little tyke too) and flew on down south to my favorite state. It was a wonderful week with my parents. It was so fun to see Macade with them as well. Since we were there long enough he really got to know them and was really attached. He would cry if my mom or dad left the room even with me right by him. it was so sweet. He would crawl around the house wimpering trying to find them. It was very cute. (more pics to come)
Cory headed down a week later to be with us and we went the beach. Once again our fearless son prooved to us just how fearless he is. We stripped him to his onsie and he charged right out to the water splashing and laughing. It was so much fun. He would go out so far that we would have to pull him back in. The little waves would splash him in the face and he would just laugh. He is such and amazing kid. He is so fun to be around!!

Root Root Root for the Mariners, If They Don't Win It's The Same....

So we headed out for another night at the ball game. It was so fun. Not as great of seats as last time but still a great view. Bad News: The Mariners lost! Good news: the Oakland A's won (Woo Hoo) and Macade made his big screen début.
During the 2nd inning Cindy and I texed messaged a picture of macade at the game to the qwest field website (that is the mariners field.) So during the 8th inning they started to show some of the pictures that were sent in from the game. And our adorable little Macade was 3rd on that giant screen in the ball park. We got the whole field to AWW. It was great. The camera loves him, as well as his fans!!! This is the picture that changed all the Mariners fans to Macade fans!! It was a night to remember!!

Bubbles!!!

For Macade's bath i put extra bubbles in. He loves the bubbles. Well tonight he decided to try to eat the bubbles. It was so funny. he would put his face in the water and open his mouth wide and come out with a face full of bubbles. He would laugh and do it again. He was hilarious!!

A day at the Zoo

We went to the zoo one weekend and Macade loved it. We took him to the petting zoo and he loved petting and touching the goats. he kept trying to grab them. It was so funny. Unfortunatly our camera ran out of batteries so we do not have as many pictures as we wish we had. But just like the aquarium, macade was very into all the animals. He is such an outdoors man. I love it!!

Just Hanging Out

Every weekend we try to find something fun to so. A lot of sight seeing and just wondering around. It is fun to see what there is to offer here in Washington, you know, when the weather decides to let us out of the house!!

So i walked into the room after a little while and saw both these guys asleep, i mean out. they were so gone it was funny. Another exausting day for both Macade and Daddy. I guess i just wear them out.

Seattle Aquarium

We thought it would be fun to hit the Aquarium with Macade and show him all the animals. So on the 4th of July we headed down there. It was amazing to see how interested macade was in the fish. He loved the octopus. We put him right up to the window and he just watched it and looked at the fish and tried to touch them. It was so much fun.
We put him up to the tide pools as well and let him touch the star fish and the sea anenimies. He was so into it. I think he really enjoyed it.

The whole day was so much fun. After the whole aquarium was explored by us we headed out to the fire works. I thought that the noise would bother macade but he loved it. He was laughing and watching. He really liked the fireworks. Looks like we just found a 4th of July tradition.

Macade's New Favorite Past-Time

Cory and I were outside with Macade trying to get him to blow some energy off. While we were out there i decided to water the grass. So i move it away from us and let it go. Well, while i was trying to set it Macade decided he wanted to come and explore this new toy out. So he headed right over not caring that the water was spraying him right in the face. Cory and I got such a kick out of it that we kept moving him back and letting him crawl to the sprinkler again. It was such a hoot. Finally he reached his goal and played with it for quite a while until he started to shiver. Than we took him inside and let him take a hot bath to warm up. What a silly kid! Always trying new things.

That water adventure must have really wiped him out. While i was feeding him he fell asleep on me and did not wake up. He has not fallen asleep on me since he was a little baby. It was so much fun to have him snuggle again. AWWW!
