Temple Square Lights

On New Year's Day we went to see the lights at Temple Square. I had forgotten how pretty they were. It was alot of fun spending time with the Rosenberg's there and we lucked out and it was only 46 degrees even though we are dressed like it's 30!!

The whole tribe...minus Colton

Zayne, Noah & Zoey!

This obviously isn't Temple Square, but i had to show-off Noah's
8-month pictures becuase they are so stinkin cute!!

Happy New Year!!

We spent New Year's Eve (ok only until around 8:30ish when the kids needed to go to bed) with Levi, Amy and Taylor. It was alot of fun playing games and hanging out. I bought The Wiggles for the kids to watch while we were eating, hoping to get in a little adult conversation without the inturruption, and as you will see below, we had to take more extreme measures if that was going to happen!

Amy made delicious chicken tortilla soup and munchies...yummy!

This was the extreme measure! We didn't leave it up long but it was a good try and laugh!

Christmas Day!!

Christmas this year was so much fun. It's always great, but having Noah made it so much more exciting. Once again, we were spoiled and recieved much more than we gave. I'm so grateful that Clair's parents live so close to mine so we are able to spend the day with both families. I love this time of year because it seems like everyone is more Christ-like which is a good reminder to me of why we celebrate Christmas and how grateful I am for our Savior and his love for me. I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas Season and thank you to all of you who helped make ours special. We love you!
Noah's favorite gift was this little car. It keeps him busy on our wood floors!

Another favorite is his horse.

Noah really enjoyed the paper and ribbons...who needs toys?!!

I found this monkey rug and couldn't resist. It's very cute to see him cuddle
with it when he's tired.

Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve is always so special with my family. We typically have dinner of fondue and everyone brings their favorite appetizer/munchie to share. Delicious! Now that the kids are old enough, they dress-up and act out the nativity as my Dad reads it from the Bible. This year's nativity was a little different. My Dad had turned part of his barn that holds the hay for the horses into a stable and had a special basket filled with hay for Noah who was playing Baby Jesus this year. The nativity is always a special part of our evening, but having it in the barn with the smell of hay and the horses nearby added so much to the experience. It was really a neat, spiritual experience that i hope becomes a new tradition.
Paige as Mary, Maddie, Lauren as an Angel, Cooper as a Wiseman, Taylor, Colin as a donkey and Noah as baby Jesus.

Who doesn't love Santa!!

Noah and I made a special trip to the mall just to see Santa since he was "sick" the day the Ernest Family Party. After an hour of waiting in line, it was finally his turn. I thought for sure he was going to be a screamer, but he did great...he even smiled at Santa. It was one of those proud Mom moments for me until we got to the cash register. It's robbery what the charge for a picture with Santa, but it was worth it and will be adorable in his scrapbook!
-I guess it's been too long since my last post because i can't remember how to get the text above the picture...yikes!
