From a nearby town...

This little cabin sits in the backyard in a small town near us.  It is really small, smaller than this photo shows.  I am just a bit above 5ft and I could not go through the door without bending over.

Re yesterday's post of the War Memorial...it is in Indianapolis and is part of the Indiana War Memorial Plaza.  You can read about it HERE

This is just so pretty in the snow. It makes a lovely winter scene. I wonder if it was a smoke house or something being so small. I occasionally see cabins like this behind old houses and always wondered what they were used for. In some areas there were small houses like this that were slave cabins that were also not far from the main house.

This looks like a storage shed made to look like a log cabin. It is cute! Thanks for the info about yesterday's post!

Great picture--- I love the way the red pump stands out---- Re: your comment on my picture of the old wagon, I think that's why little towns in the old days were spaced about 10 miles apart. 5 miles each way was about as far as one wanted to travel if you were going to town. All the little towns here are 10 miles apart-- give or take a mile.

When you post opened at the RO I would love to live in that but the only thing is the window is too tiny and then I read what you said and it must be either a shed or a child's Playhouse. It's perfect in every way if it was bigger it's the type of old cabin that I love. That is one really nice war memorial I had not seen it or heard of it I did go and read the link

Well that is a small cabin. I wonder what it's used for.

OOohhh, d'ya think this was made instead of a tree house for the kids? YAM xx

It sure makes for a beautiful photo in the snow! Any idea what it's used for?

So it is slightly bigger than a doll's house. It will be uncomfortable for tall adults but nice for kids to play inside.

A cute little playhouse with its own water supply! Looks great in the snow.

It may be small but it is beautiful - especially in the snow

Cute little cabin in the woods. I guess it is not deep in the woods since there is a street sign and a stop sign out front. I wonder if the old pump really works.

Oh my goodness, I would love to have gone inside this log cabin! I’m just under 5’ I wonder if I would have had to duck my head?

Cute little cabin in the snow, maybe a play house for kids.

That looks similar to a cabin in a local Research Station, but the one we have is full size.

Find capture of this miniature that is much smaller than other pairs

The red water pump really stands out. When I was a kid, we had to get water from a pump just like that. Had to tke boiling water with us to pour down the middle to thaw it.

What a cute little cabin, and the surrounding of snow is even prettier. The snow covered trees are lovely.
