Celebrate every day...

Thanks so much for all of the congrats yesterday.  I sure do appreciate it, and thanks so much for letting me share my news with you.  You all are the best!!!

Today, I have a project to share with you that I made for Ally Scraps.  It's a mini album for my daughter.  I used lots of Echo Park's For the Record collection.

Words everyone should live by, don't you think so???

You can find a list of the supplies I used and instructions on how to make the album here at the Ally Scraps blog.  Make sure to take a look around while you are there.  There is lots to see!

Well, that is it for me today.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Lucky girl...

Hey everyone!  I want to thank you  all for the comments about my new look.  I went ahead and changed the background again,I did like the polka dots, but so much blue just wasn't sitting to well with me.  I am sure I will end up changing everything again, but for now I think I will leave it.  (At least until I have more time to play around with it again. ;) )

So, on to some fun news...

I was asked to be a part of the new October Afternoon Design Team, and I am just beyond thrilled and excited!!!!  I have always loved OA's products, and it feels like a dream come true to be a part of this team.

For my first official project with the team, I created this card, using the new 5 & Dime collection.  I am totally in love with the colors and patterns in this line.

And I thought the title for this card was appropriate, because that is exactly what I am... a lucky girl!!!

Thanks so much for letting me share my news, and make sure to stop by the October Afternoon blog and leave a comment for a chance to win some 5 & Dime yumminess.  The rest of the design team has made some gorgeous projects, and I know you won't want to miss them.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!  Hugs!

I'm trying out a new look...

for my blog.  What do you think?  The header is definitely staying, but I'm not completely sure about the background (the print along both sides).

I used the Fall Frolic by Zoe Pearn digital kit from Sweet Shoppe Designs.  She has lots of great kits to choose from.  I might have to go back and get a few more (so I can change things more often. ;)  )

I'll be back next week.  Have a great rest of the weekend!

a happy note...

Anyone else having a hard time with the time change?  I can't seem to get in the groove, and my family has been coming down with time change-itis.  Hopefully our internal clocks will reset soon and get us back on track.

I have a few things that I made for Ally Scraps to share with you today.  Again, I am using the For the Record collection from Echo Park.  I am LOVING the yellow in this line and decided to make some bright and cheery cards.

First off is 'happy note'.

Next is 'hello friend'.

Love, love, lovin' the colors in this collection and the fun, retro feel.

You can find the list of supplies used and step-by-step instructions for both cards here.  Make sure to look around and check out more inspiring work while you are there.  ;)

Hope you all have a wonderful day.  Hugs!

Color Combos Galore #183

Hey all!  Just came by to share my take on the current color combo (183) over at Color Combos Galore.

Here is the combo with the inspiration photo:

I chose to go a little bit lighter on the palette, because the added designer challenge was to use butterflies.  I thought that the new Butterfly Garden collection from Pink Paislee would be PERFECT.  Was I wrong?!

(I don't think so.  ;) )

The Clear Pop butterfly sticker was the main reason I chose to use Butterfly Garden for this challenge.  I just love the dimension of this sticker.

Here's a little bit better view, dimension-wise.

For the flowers, I cut out lots of flower die-cuts in varying sizes using my Cricut Expression and Walk in My Garden cartridge.  I distressed and layered the die-cuts.   Then, I added a little Prima flower to the center.  I hand cut some leaves and layered everything, adding a few paper posies here and there between the flowers.

(Since Butterly Garden didn't have any orange, I used patterned paper from My Mind's Eye for the flowers.)

Hope you get a chance to play along with the challenge this week.  If you do, please share your work in the CCG Gallery so we can all ooh and aah over your creation.  ;)

Hope you are having a fabulous week so far.  Thanks for stopping by!
