DC#30: Under African Sky

At MouseScrappers they hosted the 30th Designer Challenge! And, I joined in all of them. This time we got colors again. They made me think of the African savanna while the sun is setting. It also made me think of the Lion King.

To go with the challenge, I made a full kit as well. All about life under the African sky and on the savanna. The kit contains lions, giraffes and elephants, but also baobab trees and African masks. And when you buy Under African Sky at Scrappy Bee, you'll get my submission for the challenge for free as well. It's included in your download links and contains gradiënt papers and 2 full alphas.

With the challenge and the new release, I also joined in the bloghop. I created a Mickey style add on.

A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow

At the begining of the month the Magical Mousetery Tour left for another trip around digiland. The colors and the theme inspired me to create a kit as well. It actually inspired me to create a kit for a specific ride, one with a catchy song that sticks in your mind. A ride that is all about history and progress. A ride that shows the progress during the year (in 4 holidays) and through the decades in technolgy, clothes and history. A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow is not only the name of the song during the ride, it's also the name of my new kit.

Besides the kit I also created 8 extra alphas. Those alphas go with the kit, with the freebie (don't forget to download them all) and with the Magical Tomorrow theme of the Tour. The alphas are basic enough to use on any page as well. You can find the A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow, Extra Alphas in my Scrappy Bee shop.

New Releases at Scrappy Bee

Today I released two kits at Scrappy Bee! The first one is Glamour Party, right in time for your New Year's Eve celebrations and parties. It can also be used for any other party, like weddings, sweet 16 parties or prom nights.

The second kit is Leap Year, because 2016 happened to be one. So to celebrate that extra day we had this past year and to look forward to the upcoming spring (oh, I know, it's just winter for 10 days, but I am already soooo done with it, lol). This kit can also be used for just general photos of special moments.

New kits @Scrappy Bee

This week I added 3 kits to my Scrappy Bee shop. They might look familiar, because all 3 have been previously released in some sort of way. At least 2 of them have been updated with extra papers and/or elements.

The first kit is Holiday Spice, a minkit with a funny touch. It contains just those papers and elements to add that spice to your Christmas papges.

Christmas time is all about baking and cooking, but Baking Spirits Bright can be used for any other cooking/baking project as well. Whether you want to scrap those kitchen adventures or your favorite recipe, this kit will help you to preserve those memories.

One of the biggest Christmas wishes is to have peace on earth for everyone around the globe. Maybe if we start with spreading love and peace just close by, it might end up to be a big wave that goes around the globe. Peace On Earth is all about the dream, the hope for the future.

Christmas Kids @ Scrappy Bee

It's almost Christmas! Just one more week. Are your kids getting excited? I'm sure they are! Excited about their holidays, excited about the gifts they will find under the tree and hoping for snow to play in. All these winter adventures can now be scrap. If you a boy, you can use the blue Christmas Boy kit. For girls you can use the pink Christmas Girl kit. Both kits have been added to my Scrappy Bee shop this week.

I know, I know, I could have done this waaaaaayyyyy earlier, but forgot. But today I added a few older kits to Scrappy Bee!




The kits I added are Family Time (to scrap those well spent moments with your family), November Rain (to scrap about the storms outside and inside), Rustic Fall (to scrap autumn in a rustic way with bamboo accents) and Dreaming of Miscellaneous (to scrap those favorite photos that don't go with any kit).

Dreaming of Change, full kit

With the new Lovely Colors in store, I bundled those packs I made last month. Dreaming of Change is now available as a full kit and contains 3 paper packs (for a total of 36 papers), two full alphas and the element packs (including the wordstrips). Happy Halloween weekend to those who celebrate!

Don't forget: Charity kit 'Loud About Girls'

Op 11 oktober was het Internationale Meisjes Dag, om aandacht te vragen voor de rechten van meisjes over de hele wereld. Op de radio hoorde ik in de week ervoor steeds een commercial van Plan Nederland over de campagne die ze nu hebben tegen kind huwelijken. Wat mij vooral raakte was het feit dat als we in Afrika zouden wonen, mijn dochter nu al uitgehuwelijkt zou kunnen worden. Ze is net 12, nog lang niet klaar om te trouwen en kinderen te krijgen. Laat haar voorlopig nog maar lekker naar school gaan en al die tiener dingen doen die ze zo leuk vindt. En die andere meiden zouden die kans ook moeten krijgen.

On October 11th it was International Day of the Girls, a day to ask attention for the rights of girls all across the globe. On the radio I heard a coomercial from Plan Netherlands about a campaign they have about child marriages. What hit me the most was that, if we were living in Africa, my daughter could have been forced into a child marriage. She just turned 12, she is not ready to get married and have kids. Let her be a teenager an do the things girls this age love to do. And those other girls should get that chance as well.

Het is een echte tienermeiden kit geworden, met make-up, mobiele apparaten en rock elementen. De kit is zowel bij With Love Studio als bij Scrappy Bee te verkrijgen. En van elke Loud About Girls die ik verkoop in oktober gaat er €1 naar Plan Nederland. Dus... help mij zoveel mogelijk geld te verzamelen voor deze jonge meiden en geef ze een toekomst.

It turned out to be a real teenage girl kit, with make-up, mobile devices and some rock elements. The kit is available at both With Love Studio and Scrappy Bee. And for every issue of Loud About Girls sold in October, I will donate €1 to Plan Netherlands. So... please help me raise money for these young ladies and give them a future.

October 2016 Template Pack

Oktober is al weer bijna ten einde, dus is het tijd voor de templates van deze maand. October 2016 Template Pack heeft grappige cirkels op de achtergrond, 2 foto's en geen schaduwen, dus eigen creativiteit kan worden toegevoegd voor geweldige scrappagina's. October is near the end, so it's time for this month' template pack. For my own page I didn't use a kit by myself this time. I used the new released Princess Fantasy by Midnight Owl Designs. Isn't it cute? Also perfect for pocket style pages, because there are many journaling cards added, lots of wordbits and some other cute elements to add some sparkle.
