My favorite time of day

My favorite time of day is early in the morning when Buga Boo first wakes up.Daddy is always the one to go and get him from his room because Daddy has to get up and ready for work anyways. Then he always brings Buga Boo into our bed and we snuggle while he eats his morning bottle. I love this time of the day because it is the only time that Buga Boo's really snuggles with me. He is not much of a snuggler, but in the mornings he does. So I take advantage of every morning and my snuggles. He always lays their in my arms snuggled up close to me  and rubs his hand against my face . Then when he is finished with his bottle we play for a little bit while he jabbers away. He doesn't really say anything, but just talks away. By then daddy is done with his shower and the Buga Boo races off to the bathroom to brush his teeth with daddy. He and dad then brush their teeth complete with rinse, spit and all. My morning snuggles are done and we start our day. I know he won't do this for much longer and I don't get them for very long in the morning, but I treasure every morning that I do get them and every minute that he snuggles me. I love my mornings!

Knott's Berry Farm

This past Christmas our family was together for the first time in four years. We decided to celebrate by going to Knott's Berry Farm for New Years. Unfortunately, that was the week that the whole country was blasted with the cold front that came down from the north. Thursday was a little cold and windy, but Friday warmed up and the wind stopped and was beautiful. 

They had Camp Snoopy that was for the little kids and Buga Boo loved those rides. His favorite was the train ride, but he didn't mind the bus ride either. The bus ride went up and around in circles and he wasn't too sure about it at first. I thought we were going to have to stop the ride, but he hung in their and made it through the ride. Then as we were leaving he wanted to get back on.

 

Of course the big kids love to go on all the big kid rides and some how we managed to have everyone ride everything while someone always sat out to watch the Buga Boo. 

And we even managed to get some family pictures as well!

Buga Boo was awsome! I couldn't ask for a better baby. He was such a trooper and enjoyed spending time with his Papa, Anma, and Uncles. Especially the illusive one, but you wouldn't know that because he never let me take his picture! :)

Christmas

So this is a long time coming and way late, but I wanted to post it for our journal if anything else. 


Christmas this year was more fun than last year. Buga boo enjoyed it more and that made it all worth it. We went and got our tree at the beginning of the December and Buga boo wasn't too sure if he liked that or not. We knew that he defiantly did not like the tree when we proceeded to put the lights on it and he threw a fit! He did not like his parents anywhere near that tree and he let us know. So needless to say, we had to put the lights on after he went to bed. After that he was willing to help put the bulbs on, but he did not like the lights.

He also did pretty good with the presents. He got into the very first one that we put under the tree, but after I told him that he has to wait, he didn't touch any more presents. I know! Way surprising. 


Christmas morning was more exciting this year because he was older and understood a little bit more, but also because we got him his very first puppy! Our friends down the street from us breed their dogs and gave us one of the puppies. He is a little Chaweiner mix and his name is Coco. They weren't too sure about each other at first, but now they seem to get along pretty well and Buga Boo's always wants him to come into the house first thing in the morning. We are still potty training him so he spends most of his day outside, but he does pretty good for the most part. 

 








I snapped a few pictures of some of the toys he got for Christmas after the fact because we just video tapped the whole morning and blogger doesn't like to upload the video.

All in all, we had a nice quiet day together as a family. 

We sure love you Buga Boo and can't wait for next year!

The Happiest Place on Earth

Right before Thanksgiving, the Mr., Buga Boo, and I had the previlige to go to Disneyland for a day. Earlier this year we participated in the "Give a day, Get a day" program that Disney put on, so the Mr. and me got a 1 day pass for free! We wanted to take Buga Boo for his 1st Birthday, but I am glad we waited so he was able to enjoy it a little bit more.

As many of you may know, our little Buga Boo has absolutely fallen in love with Disney "Cars". So his favorite ride was the race car track and riding in an actual car! It was only later in the day that we were told that Disney is creating a "Carborator Springs" in California Adventure where you can ride McQueen and Sally through Carborator Springs. It won't be open until 2011, so I guess we will have to come back. Oh darn. :)

The "Its a small world" ride has quite a long line, so while mom stood in line, dad took Buga Boos and let him run wild for a little bit. He didn't do too well in the long lines.

He loved Pluto the best. I guess because he is a dog.

Over all, Buga Boo had a great time. He was a little overwhelmed at first, but he eventually warmed up and felt the magic of Disney. I can't wait to take you back when you are older!
