Fun with the Cuz's

So at the end of October, Daddy had to take his exam to become licensed! And while Daddy was studying, Buga Boo and I were hanging out with the cuz's. We had so much fun! I hung out with the Juge and Grandma and we did our crafts and some shopping.

I was finally able to relax because I had little helpers there to entertain the Buga Boo. He had a fabulous time but the one thing that he loved more than anything else was a Little Tikes car that they had. Sometimes his cuz's would push him around the house, but most of the time he was just content with sitting in it and banging on the horn. Thank goodness it didn't make any noise!

I really think Buga Boo is going to be into cars because ever since we got home he has been obsessed with the movie Cars by Disney. He thinks that is the funnest movie ever! I only let him watch it once per day, but that is the highlight of his day. Buga Boo, we love you so much and love watching your personality grow!

My First Haircut

Well, we finally did it! We cut little buga boo's hair for the first time! He lasted quite a while, over one year, but while we were down visiting family in Phoenix, we pulled out the hair cutters and went to town. Now grant it, there wasn't that much to cut in the first place, but what was growning was getting quite long and worthy to be cut. So my little boy has now had his first haircut! Each new thing is just one more reminder that he not going to be my little baby for much longer...

Happy Halloween

Although this was Buga Boo's 2nd Halloween, it felt like his 1st because he was so little last year. He got so excited and while he didn't fully understand what was going on, he thought it was pretty cool when he held his bucket out and people put things in it.

For Halloween we went to  our Ward's trunk-o-treat but I guess we were told the wrong time because by the time we got their, everyone was packing up and ready to go. Their were three trunks left so we just went to three, but Buga Boo had fun and that is the point. He was a little puppy dog this year and since the trunk-o-treat was so short, we got video but not pictures.

Headed out and ready to go
On the way home, Buga Boo was so fascinated that people gave him treats in his little pumpkin that we had his head inside looking. He finally discovered the sucker and we thought we would let him try. He thought he was pretty big stuff!

We had so much fun and more importantly, Buga Boo had a good time too. And next year is just going to get better! :)

My Halloween Craft

One of my good friends found this craft and I fell in love with it! Although I have to admit, I am glad I got the smaller of the wreaths available. While this was a cute craft, it was a little tedious but totally worth it!

Now I just have to figure out where I want it and get it hung up!

I LOVE Cell Phones

So for a long time now, Buga Boo has LOVED cell phones. Any time he sees us talking on one, he has to grab it from us. He puts it up to his ear like you should and then he starts walking around the house. It is way cute. I need to get it on video, but he usually is so quick that I can't. However, one day after Daddy came home from work, Buga boo grabbed his work cell phone and I was quick enough to grab these pictures.

We love you Buga boo! You make us smile and laugh everyday!!

A fun day at the Zoo

So here in our small tri-city area, we have a little Heritage Park Zoo which is actually kind of nice. So a co-worker of mine has a granddaughter and we thought it would be really fun to get our two kids together and got hang out. So we decided to go to the Zoo. It was stinking hot that day so most of the animals were inside their caves cooling off, but we managed to get a few pictures.

Of course we had to get a Cougar. Go BYU!

Just not when we wanted him in the picture. :)
You can barely see the tiger in the background.

Just hanging out.
Oh.. Aren't they just so cute!

Once they got over the heat they wanted to get out and play! They were both fascinated with each others carrying devices. Buga Boo had his stroller that she pushed around and she had a little red wagon that he loved to push and pull. I guess he was showing off his super baby strength!

Just a little bit farther.

They also had a little playground their so after we finished looking at all of the animals, we went to go play. The best part was it was in the shade! So we call got to cool down. Buga boo was pretty much just interested in playing with the sand. I tried to get him to swing, but from the look on his face, he wasn't too sure if he liked it or not. Maybe next time...

Thanks for the fun day at the zoo!

Daddy's Big Helper

While we were up in Utah for Labor Day we visited Ikea, which is becoming my new favorite store!, and we found this way cute cubby bins that we are going to use to store all of buga boos growing toys. That will have to be in another post, but when Roger was putting this together, buga boo decided that he wanted to help too! He is such a big helper!

Football Season is FINALLY Here!!

YEA! Our favorite sport's season is here! FOOTBALL!! And to kick things off, we went to our local High School's 1st home game of the season with our good friends. They have two little boys and the youngest one is Buga Boo's age but I think he play's more with the older one. :)

During the whole entire game all Buga Boo wanted to do was climb up and down the stairs. Which wouldn't be too bad if he knew how to climb up and down the stairs. So mommy and her friend spent most of the time with the two babies down in front of the stands in a little grassy area. I was amazed at how many of the teenagers loved the little kids. I didn't think kids that age like babies...
Mom, let me out!
Just kicking back and enjoying the show

Smile!

So cute!
We had lots of fun and the best part was, we won the game! The other team scored a touch down to tie the game with only 2 seconds left. They decided to go for the 2 point conversion to win. They threw the ball and they were able to jump up and catch it, but one of our guys knocked it out of his hands while he was coming down. So we one by 1 point and even then it was just barley. So it was a pretty good game. Now we just have to wait for the next one. :)

Labor Day Week Fun

For Labor Day this year we decided to make the pilgrimage back up to Utah. We decided to split the trip up this time to make it a little easier on little buga boo. He travels well now, but we didn't want to push our luck. We give him snacks along the way to keep him occupied, except he is in a stage right now where he likes to shove everything in his mouth all at once. I was giving him grapes one or two at a time, but I guess I thought he was eating them faster than he really was. I looked back to see how he was doing and this is what I found...

I guess you can never have too may grapes. :)

So we started out and decided to make a day of it and stop at the Hoover Dam to sight see for a little while.

Needless to say, buga boo was more than happy to get out and stretch his legs. This also wore him out so he would sleep in the car.

We arrived at our destination the same time as my family. My brother returned home from his mission so we planned a mini family reunion for Labor Day weekend. He served his mission in the South Salt Lake area and he wanted to take us around to all the sights. I loved seeing him again and we are so happy to have him home!

To celebrate we went out to play miniature golf and buga boo loved it! Maybe the next Tiger Woods in the making.... :)

Hole in one!!

Check me out

Saturday we got to go to the BYU - Washington football game. GO BYU! Although I think buga boo is still just a little too young to really appreciate football so mom and baby spent most of the time walking around.
Our little cougar with his Utah Aunt

We had such a good time and we also got to meet my oldest brother's girlfriend. ;) Although somehow they evaded the camera so I don't have any proof, but it is true! And I think buga boo took a special liking to her....

Unfortunately my family had to say good-bye on Monday and head back home. We were fortunate enough to stay and visit with Roger's mom and sister. We didn't do too much that week, just a quiet relaxing vacation. he really loved Grandma's cat though and spent most of the time chasing it or coaxing Grandma into holding her so he could pet her.

We were also able to visit my Grandma at Temple Square. She is on her mission their in the Family History Center so that was fun to see her.

On the way home we made several stops but one of them was in Kingman, Arizona where they had a train on display. I never realized how HUGE these things were!!

We had an awesome time and loved the visit. I wish we could have seen more people, but alas, their is never enough time. Thanks everyone for the fun vacation!
