Things are really moving along with our house. Thanks to the mild Winter, they've been able to get a lot done and are actually ahead of schedule. Today we did our first official walkthrough with the contractor to make sure everything is in its proper place and all the electrical is right before they start the drywall. Here's what it looks like:

The view from upstairs. This was one of the biggest things we looked for in a house - we didn't want to have any backyard neighbors. That's the Thanksgiving Point golf course across the way.
Because my Dad is an electrical contractor, we brought him along to make sure everything is up to par. He has decided to come tomorrow and help us install surround sound, more cable jacks, and a few other little things that we forgot to add. We're thankful for his help!
They told us that it will be ready to move into sometime in
April! Say whaaaa? We are counting down the days, and (only slightly) freaking out. We lay in bed at night fantasizing about what kind of dog we will get the day we move in!
