Company Picnic at The Oil Ranch

I'm a little airheaded at times and forgot the camera, so the best we could do was take some pictures with Rocky's phone. I'm mad at my self for forgetting the camera because I would have taken several more pictures and they would be a better quality. We had a lot of fun though and there is so much fun stuff for the kids to do.The cutest girls on the train.Chloe had a blast feeding the goats. There was a llama there too, plus chickens, cows, a pig, and peacocks.Chloe was talking to the donkeys.Chloe also enjoyed chasing this turkey.Rocky just couldn't resist running up to the top of the hay pile. There was a big slide inside the barn.Lyla being silly and playing peek-a-boo on the way home.Chloe passed out asleep from all the new adventures. I think we'll be switching her back to a big toodler seat. This doesn't look too safe.

Bowling

This was Chloe's first time to go bowling, and she was so excited! We went with Grandma and Granddad.

They put up the bumpers for her and gave her this ramp to put her ball on so that it would go all the way to the pins. (Before we had the ramp thing her ball only made it halfway.)

She was so cute watching her ball with her hands on her hips!

"Look Mama!"
She ended up with the best score and that's even with the rest of us having the bumpers too.

100,000 Miles

We have been very blessed with this excellent car. We bought it certified used with 11,270 miles on it. It was a rental car before we bought it and well taken care of. We've only done routine maintenance on it and have been blessed to not have to do any major mechanical repairs. We love this car and hope she keeps on running smooth.

Playground

Chloe had been really good the day before, so she deserved a trip to the park. This is a really nice park less than a mile away from us. We went early enough in the morning that it wasn't crowded and not sweltering hot yet. We're pretty proud of Chloe climbing the rock wall. She scaled it like it was nothing, and it's pretty big compared to her. And our sweet little Lyla fell asleep. Won't be long and she'll be climbing and sliding too!

A Day at Galveston

Me and my girls went to Galveston with my parents. The main reason was for a super clearance sale on fabric from a quilt shop down there. That turned out to be a joke, and I don't even want to talk about it. Luckily the rest of the day was fun. We had some good food and fun walking on the beach!

Elder Kimmons #5

Ross has been called to serve in the Washington Tacoma Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We were able to go through the temple with him before he left.Uncle Ross with Chloe and Lyla on his last Sunday at home. By the time he gets back Chloe will be almost 5 and Lyla will be as big as Chloe! Who knows, we might have a new baby too.

Family Vacation to Arkansas

We drove to Bentonville, Arkansas to visit Rocky's oldest brother, Robert, and his family. It was so much fun and such a beautiful place!! On the way up we stopped at the statue of Sam Houston in Huntsville and we stayed the night in Arlington at Robyn's where Chloe had a blast playing with Cody. It was a nice break from Houston and the girls were really good on such a long trip. We also went up to Branson, Missouri and played some putt-putt golf. It's funny to me that we call armadillos 'Texas speed bumps,' but I saw more armadillos in Arkansas in a few days than I've seen in Texas my whole life. And while in Arkansas I saw fireflies for the first time!

3-Peat

So Rocky's work has a fun run every year. This was his third year to run the 10k and third year to get 1st place. This year was fun because Rocky's family came too. Ross and Gina ran the 5k, and Ronda and I walked 1 mile. We planned on taking Chloe and Lyla with us on the walk, but it was freezing! So they stayed indoors with Nana and Pawpaw.

Stretching before the race.
Rocky way ahead of the competitors.
Rocky and Gina sporting their medals. They each got 1st place for their age group in their race. And Rocky's trophy was for 1st place overall.

First Baby Food for Lyla

So Lyla is already 4 months old and we started her on baby cereal. At first she was more interested in checking out the high chair. It didn't take her long to catch on and then I couldn't feed her fast enough!
And of course Chloe had to feed her baby too!
