Almost to the end

Well as I finish up here at Weber state I will think of all the fun times and hand and the great friendships I made. There will be things to be missed but overall I can say Yeah! I am out of here!! My education has been great and I will always be a proud graduate of WSU dental hygiene class. Now its on to better and bigger things as life moves on. Next step is on to getting a good job in an office that is enjoyable and start paying off student loans=)!!

Rock On!!

Today is the last clinic day. I am excited to be at this point. Even more excited once WREB is over with and I have the license in my hot little hands. Better yet, when I have a job in an office that I like. I was able to finish my morning patient. I can not believe on the build up he had on his teeth. It was even on the occlusal surfaces like you wouldn't believe. Crazy times. Chunks flying off like mad. I hope my board patient is a morning guy because it will be bright and early that day.

Mockboard LA

Today was a god experience. I was glad to be able to have that practice to see where I stand. I was also glad for the review so that I could get a feel for what type of questions will be asked. My patient this afternoon is a new patient. I am way glad that clinic is almost over. Yeah for boards, here they come!

April 7th

Today I was hoping for a 1b but no. My patient was a class 3 and way young!! Good experience although not what I was hoping for today. I still have some requirements to accomplish and I only have a little time left to do them. Hopefully it all works out in the end. I'm ready to move on to bigger and better things. Looking forward to graduation, boards and VACATION!!!!!!

Mock boards!

Mockboards went awesome today. It was a really great experience and I hope for something very similar to happen on actual board day. I was very pleased with how today went. I feel like it was a great learning experience and it helped build my confidence for actual board day.

St. Patricks Day!!

Today I had four patients scheduled. I called and confirmed them and they all said "Yep I'll be there." Well the morning went well. They both came and I was able to finish them. After lunch my patients didn't come, so I called them and the usual response came. " Oh, sorry I got called into work." I swear I could ring their necks. Anyway I found someone in the waiting room who claimed she was not interested. After some gentle asking AKA pleaing she said I can "just take a look." I got an OD done one her and come to find out she was someone elses patient. OOPS!!!!!!!!! Sorry. What a day.

Wow!

Today was a great day. Major spring fever. I love the sun!! Can I start cleaning teeth outside?? Please! I was able to have a very productive day today. I am glad for that. My afternoon patients were such sweet old people. I enjoyed talking to them about fishing. They are really fun people. My morning patient has way HARD calculus. Hopefully no teeth fall out in the RPS process.
