ESAD Farewell Annual Catalogue Blog Hop

Hello stamping friends. Welcome to this ESAD Blog Hop to farewell some of our favourite retiring products from the Stampin' Up! 2020 - 2021 Annual Catalogue. Some of our favourite products from this past years annual catalogue are coming to an end so some of the demonstrators in the ESAD facebook group thought it would be a great idea to give these products a final send off.

There are some amazing products that are retiring and this blog hop may give you some more ideas to use these products for much longer in the future. Or this bog hop may finally inspire you to purchase these products before they are gone.

There are so many amazing retiring products to highlight and its hard to choose just one but I thought I would give one of my most favourite stamp sets one last hurrah, Good Morning Magnolia.

I fell in love with this set as soon as I saw it when it was released a few years ago and this will also be one that I will hold onto for a long time to come. I've used this stamp set with Stampin' Blends and watercolouring in the past but today I decided to colour the big Magnolia image with the Stampin' Up! Watercolour Pencils but to use them just like a normal colouring pencil.

I've kept my cards quite simple today as I wanted the magnolia image to be the main focal point. I've also combined on each card some of the other retiring products that have been some of my most favourite - Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon and the Braided Linen Trim.

With both of my cards I've layered different pencil colours to get a different look and a bit more depth of colour. Once each stamped panel was coloured I then embossed it with the Subtle 3d Embossing Folder to give it a more textured look.

Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Instagram Tip | Colouring with Stampin' Blends on Coloured Cardstock

I've got a quick and fun tip for you today. Do you sometimes want more out of your Stampin’ Blends? Why not use them on colored cardstock? Coloring with Stampin’ Blends on colored cardstock gives each color a different look and feel. It’s one of my most favorite coloring methods.

Step 1. Simply stamp your image on coloured cardstock with Memento Black Ink.

Step 2. Choose your favourite Stampin' Blends colours to colour your image in.

Step 3. Once you have coloured in your image, finish off your card with a sentiment, favourite ribbon, trim and embellishements.

When colouring with blends on coloured cardstock, the lighter cardstock colours like Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Gray Granite and Smoky Slate work the best. Can't wait to see your cards when you give it a go.

Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop | Posted for You Bundle

Hello Stamping Friends! Welcome to our very last 2020 Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop for December and for the year. I can't believe we are at our last post already! Just feels like yesterday when the 2020 Artisan Team was announced. Queue all the tears and all the feels!

It feels just like yesterday when this amazing journey began. While this year has been completely crazy and downright unbelievable and unprecedented, I have truly loved every minute of it and still can't believe that I was givne this opportunity of a lifetime to represent Stampin' Up! on the ADT for a third time. I am so very grateful for everything that this team has brought. Also a big thank you to all of you who have supported me along the way!

Today we have projects for you using the Posted for You Bundle, found in the Stampin' Up! 2020 - 2021 Annual Catalogue. This bundle includes the Posted for You Cling Stamp Set and the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch.

Create postcards and greeting cards for almost any occasion with the delicate line-art and the postage stamp-sized images in the Posted for You Stamp Set. The Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch creates fun postage stamp shapes and the some of the images from the Posted for You Stamp Set fit in this fantastic postage stamp-sized shape.

I have two projects for you today using the Posted for You Bundle. I've gone for a tone on tone look with the Square Vellum Doilies over Shimmery White Cardstock and then a little bit of colour with colouring the floral images with Rococo Rose Ink.

I stamped the floral images with Jet Black Stazon Ink on the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I stamped the flowers on the paper with my Stamparatus just so that I could repeat stamp the image incase there was a problem the first time stamping. Sometime when stamping on the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper you don't always get a crisp, clear image, due to the texture of the paper, so the Stamparatus makes it super easy to stamp again without having to line everything up again.

The flowers were coloured with Rococo Rose Ink using a Water Painter and then I coloured the leaves with Just Jade Ink. Once the images were dry I fussy cut them out using my Paper Snips and then layered them in a cluster to the left and right of the Happy Birthday sentiment.

My second card uses all the same elements, but layered differently on the front of the card and in the Landscape direction as opposed to my first card in the Portrait direction.  I do tend to make most of my cards in  the Portrait orientation so it's nice to change it up a bit for a different look.

I used the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch as one of the elements in my layering as opposed to stamping one of the images from the Posted for You Stamp Set and then punching that out. I punched out the Rectangular Postage Stamp in Shimmery White Cardstock and then layered a piece of the Shimmery White over the punched out piece for that extra finesse and layering. That little bit of layering on the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch combined with the all the other layering and elements really adds that refinement to the proejcts.

To finish off both cards I layered the 'postmark' that I embossed with Gold Stampin Emboss Powder on Vellum and then layered the Happy Birthday over top. I also used Linen Thread. Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon and Pearl Basic Jewels to bring that whole refined look together.

This really is such a versatile bundle and from all the projects from the rest of the team shows that this bundle can be used for nearly every occasion.

Now on to the Artisan Design Team for 2021. This is such an amazing team from all over the world that, I have not doubt, will inspire you with their projects.  Make sure you visit their Blogs/Instagram/Facebook/Pinterest and follow them! You won’t want to miss their amazing creations! A whole lot of talent right there that's for sure!

Just Add Ink #526 | Inspiration Picture Challenge

Hello stamping friends! Happy Friday! Another Friday means it's time for a new Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #526 | Inspiration Challenge. It's a little different from our usual inspiration challenges but I'm sure there is something there for everyone to get the creative ideas flowing.

For my project today I've taken the colours from the photo and then incorporated them in for a little bit of colouring. Blues, Greens and Neutrals. I've used the Stampin' Ornate Style Stamp Set and then coloured the image in with alcohol markers.

I've started my card with a Crumb Cake card base, stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then coloured it with Alcohol Markers. I love using Alcohol Markers on the Crumb Cake cardstock. It just gives the colours  such a different look. The darker colours tend to work the best when colouring on the Crumb Cake, although I've used some lighter colours here today and they came up quite well. The lighter colours sometimes get lost and you can't see them as well as compared to the darker colours.

Because the mushrooms of the original photo had an ombre look about them, this gave me a few different blue tones to colour with ranging from dark blues all the way to the very light. I love the look of all the different blues together. Pretty!

Just to give my card that little something extra I embossed the front coloured panel with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, added some Linen Thread, some of the 20 - 21 In Color Enamel Dots and the Thanks sentiment from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set embossed on Misty Moonlight cardstock

While initially, I thought that there wasn't much in the inspiration picture for this week's challenge, if you look a little harder and dig a little deeper you might just find something. It isn't called a challenge for nothing.

The Just Add Ink Design Team have lots of amazing creations for you and to show you what inspired them. You'll be surprised at all the different projects we came up with. We hope that you'll join in this weeks challenge. I can't wait to see you join in and to see what has inspired you this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Just Add Ink #524 | Colour Challenge

Hello there stamping friends! Happy Friday! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. It's so good to have you here.  I hope you're having a fabulous day and that you have all been safe and well. Today we over at Just Add Ink have another creative challenge for you. This week its a fanatstic colour challenge - Just Add Ink #524 | Colour Challenge.

Three gorgeous colours that can lend themselves to so many projects. I was thinking that it looked good for a Christmas project or something florally. The florals won out this time but I still might use the colour combo again for a Christmas project down the track.

My card for you today is mainly Shimmery White Cardstock and then little pops of the challenge colours. I've started the card with 3 base layers of Shimmery White Cardstock and then I've used the Many Medallion Die for a tone on tone layer. I also thought that the die-cut piece looked a little bit like a lattice panel that is used in the garden, so that was perfect to combine with the floral image from the So Much Love Stamp Set.

I've used the Rococo Rose colours to colour in the flower and then for the leaves I've used Just Jade Dark, Mint Macaron Dark and Mint Macaron Light Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers to colour the leaves. I know Just Jade isn't in the challenge colours but I like the look of using the Just Jade colour with the Mint Macaron and the way the colour goes from the dark to the light on the leaves. Personal preferance really.

I've then finished off the card with a strip of Vellum, so ribbon and trim in Mint Macaron and Rococo Rose and then layered the flower with some Shimmery White and Merry Merlot.

I do hope that I've given you some inspiration with this weeks challenge colours. Come and check out the rest of the amazing creations from the Just Add Ink Design Team using these gorgeous colours at the JAI Blog. We hope that you will join in this weeks challenge. I can't wait to see you join in and to see your fantastic projects for this weeks challenge.

Just Add Ink #523 | Just Add 'A'

Hello there stamping friends! I hope that you have had a fantastic week and are having an awesome Friday. Can certainly feel that Spring is in the air here in Melbourne! The days are starting to get warmer and longer and there is blossom everywhere! My favourite time of the year! I'm a person who loves to see the definite changes from season to season. There is something in every season to love and to look forward to. Yes, even in winter!

https://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/2020/09/just-add-ink-523add-a.html

Because it's Friday, that means that is time for another Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #523 | Just Add 'A'. It's one of our fun letter challenges - Just Add 'A'. You could incorporate your favourite stamp set starting with A, Animals, Aged or Antique looking cards, Alcohol Markers, a fun fold starting with A, whatever you desire as long as it fits into Just Add 'A'.

Today for my card I've gone for a CAS (Clean and Simple) card using products from the Stampin' Up! Artistry Blooms Suite, found in the 2020 - 2021 Annual Catalogue. Because the products from this suite can be quite busy together, I've kept the card quite stripped back but still trying to create a fun look. I do love to create cards that have lots of layers but also to make CAS cards that 'pack a punch'.

I've layered some Whisper White and Pool Party Cardstock for the base layers and then added a piece of the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper. This fantastic DSP is bright and bold and really is a statement all on its own. One side of this amazing paper has bursts of colour and the other side has softer gradients. It really is one of those pack os DSP that caters to all crafting tastes. To add just a little bit more interest I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to create a framed panel.

The die-cut side panel is made from the Banner Blooms Dies. I cut two die-cut pieces and then trimmed them to fit, using only the top portion of the die, so that it would run down the side of the card, looking like a border piece. Over the DSP and the die-cut pieces I 'splattered' the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, just to break up the bright white of the die cuts and the busyness of the DSP.

I've then finished the card off with the 'Hello Friend' from the Hand-Drawn Blooms Stamp Set, the Artistry Blooms Adhesive Backed Sequins, and what would have to be my all-time favourtie trim, Linen Thread.

I do hope that I've given you some inspiration for this week's letter theme. And some more inspiration on using the products from the Artistry Blooms Suite. Please head on over to the Just Add Ink Blog to see all the variety in the JAI Design Teams Projects and then come and join in the fun of this week's Just Add 'A' challenge. Can't wait to see what you create.
