3, 2, 1 Charrrrrrrrrge!!!!

On the first day of school, we went over to our friends house Laura and Dax's for a play date! Carson's two buds, Dax and Asher, showed him this awesome trick they had learned over the summer. Carson didn't really know what to do, but finally after watching them a few time he tried it himself. At Dax's house they have an awesome LoveSac to fall into which makes the trick 1000x more fun. The next day, I noticed that Carson kept going and standing up against the door and mumbling something. At his friends house they would stand by the door and wait for someone to say 3, 2, 1 Charge!! and run across the room and fall into the LoveSac. Finally after about 10 minute or so of Carson going back to the door and running across the room, I figured out what he was trying to do. He wasn't that interested in it the day before so it took me a while to figure out what he was doing. I guess it just took him time to figure out how fun it actually was! We of course had to improvise with our couch cushions, but he didn't seem to mind! Thanks Dax for teaching us a fun new game! Carson does it nonstop once he gets started! It's a perfect game for right before bedtime! :)

Roxy obviously felt like she was missing out on fun and followed them around with her rope begging for someone to tug-a-war with her!

2nd Year Begins!

Back to school he goes! Rob started his 2nd year of Optometry School today! It was bitter sweet! We were so sad to see the summer end, but it will be nice to get some more school behind him. Once he finishes this year we will be half way done! YAY! Carson and I are adjusting to Daddy being gone and are trying to find lots of fun things to do to make the time go fast! Here is to another great year... GO DADA GO!!!!

And of course I made him take a first day of school picture whether he liked it or not :)

Like his lunch box?! Last year I bought him a smaller one he could put in his bag, but he quickly informed me

We love our Grandma Great!

Recently, Rob's grandma, better known as Grandma Great, passed away. She was an incredible lady and lived a wonderful life. From the first time I met her I knew how special she was and instantly felt welcomed. Every time you greeted her she would hug you, kiss your cheek, and put her sweet hands on your face and look into your eyes. It was like she could see right into your heart. She was always very kind and I never heard her say a mean thing about anyone else. I will miss seeing her and Grandpa Great's love for each other. I always loved watching them. Even after 69 years of marriage, I could still see the sparks in her eyes! She lite up when Grandpa came into the room and they were always found hand-in-hand! Such a great example to us all of a strong, wonderful, loving marriage. I am grateful for the 6 years that I had to get to know her and I am so grateful that Carson got the chance to meet her on this Earth! I know he won't remember, but we will always know how excited she was about him! At Christmas time, Rob, Carson, and I went over to visit Grandma and Grandpa Great--just the three of us--which is a rare happening, since there are so many grandkids and great grandkids so close! Grandma was so cute with Carson and beamed with joy as she held him and played with him! It was so fun to see them interact one-on-one. I am positive she is now having just as much fun with all of her other great grandchildren that have yet to come! We love you Grandma Great!

This says all huh!?

Summer Catch-up

I have a ton of stuff to catch up on. Basically our whole summer. So over the next couple weeks I will back date and start updating, so be on the look out because I am going to date them according to the event. However, since we have Daddy home for one more week before school starts I will most likely procrastinate updating for another week! (At least I am honest with myself right?!) We had such a fun summer together though so it is definietly blog worthy. Here are a few of our favorite highlights from the summer and a preview of what is to come....

-Annual Cook Family Trip to Rocky Point
-Welcoming Elder Justin home from his mission
-Carson's Birthday (I did blog about that!) & Lots of cousin/aunts/uncles/great grandma birthdays. Seriously we have a TON of summer b-days between both our families!
-Larimore Family trip in Pinetop (AWESOME summer weather)
-Disneyland/California Adventure trip with the Cook Clan
-Countless hours at the pool... we miss this already!
-Lots of lots of cousin time
-Both sets of grandparents to love on
-Rob getting a paycheck!! haha His job was perfect. 3 days a week (just enough not to feel guilty) and they were SOOOO SOOO flexible and let him off whenever!
-Day trips to museums and the aquarium
-Celebrating our 5 year anniversary
-Lots of stress free relaxing family time

I am not going to lie I am super sad this summer is over since it was Rob's last real summer vacation for the next 3 years, but I am happy we are that much closer to him being done! It was so nice and I loved that Carson got to spend so much time around both of our families and get to know all of his cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents better.

And because I can't post without a picture, check out these baby blues!

Trip to the Aquarium

Carson loves fish! We aren't really sure where he got this interest, but he thinks they are great! Whenever we give him a tub full of bath toys, he always goes for the fish. He especially likes fish that are Nemo or resemble Nemo. Which again is kinda funny, because he had never seen the movie when this love began! Anyway, before Rob started back up with school we decided to take Carson to fish heaven aka the Sea Life Aquarium! It was a pretty impressive aquarium and Carson seemed to have a good time pointing at all the fishy! Afterwards, we spoiled ourselves and shared some yummy ice cream!

Check out that sea turtle up top! So cool!
