Going for Three

Well, for anyone who still looks at this (I keep it really interesting by neglecting it for months or years at a time, I know) Rob and I are going for number three.  I'm due June 13th (two days before our six year anniversary).  Next summer we'll have three little monsters ages 3 and under...wish us luck please because we are going to need it :)

This is what happens when you don't cover your BBQ...

The beginning of the summer this year, a couple of birds moved into our grill.  Took them almost a week to collect all those items they used to build their nest.  Big mess.  Then they laid two eggs. Rob was not amused, but Reese fell in love. She would take the birds seeds and watch them out the kitchen window.

Then last week a wicked cat got the mom – she was toast. So sad. The baby who hatched was a goner, couldn’t survive without its mom. Saddest thing ever. So Reese and I called Rob to give him the news. And what does he tell us? “We’re having BBQ tonight!”

Reese's Pics

Reese's turn today.  She wasn't happy about it.  Kid wouldn't crack a smile for anything.  Oh well.  We still love her...

Potty Training

So Reese is out of diapers now - wa hoo!!!  She has been all week with no accidents.  Rob and I are over the moon.  Now I need advice for night time potty training from anyone who can help.  She doesn't want to wear diapers, of course, and just takes them off again if we put them on.  Pull ups are the same story.  She just wants her Elmo panties, but can't go all night without having to potty.  What do you do???  If someone has ideas, please tell me!  We're running out of bed sheets...

A Little Delayed, but Here's Christmas

Sorry guys. I stink at blogging. Cammie, you are giving me a complex. You must put up at least 30 posts for every one of mine. Anyway, I thought I'd put up a couple photos of what we have been up to.

We had all the cousins on my side over to make gingerbread houses.  It was tons of fun!  The kids all helped make the frosting, and did an awesome job decorating their houses.  Reese's house I think turned out the most bare.  She stuffed the candy in her mouth quicker than we could get it on her house.  Oh, well, still lots of fun.

When Rob was little they had a tradition that the kids had to wait at the top of the stairs Christmas morning, so this year I got stuck at the top of stairs with the kids until Rob gave the okay for us to come down.  It was sort of goofy, but gave us good laugh.  The kids loved opening presents.  We were surprised Kyle actually even got into it a little.  He liked to tear the paper then crumple it up and try to stuff it in his mouth.  Santa brought the kids a playhouse which has become the favorite toy (it looks really cute in the middle of our family room, let me tell you).  We are so lucky to have such sweet kids, awesome families, and wonderful friends.  Christmas was a blast!!  We can't wait for all the fun this next year will bring.
