Christmas 2012
278 Lego pieces later Owen's awesome Batman and joker flight crafts are ready for action. Way to go bud!
Jane loves her blocks, she'll be our architect :)
Laci and Owen made little snowmen out of some snow our friends brought over. Later when we wrote our note to Santa Laci wanted to tell him that we left snow out front for Santa's reindeer to eat. She's so thoughtful.

Merry Christmas 2012
Barth Family 2012 Christmas Letter
Owen graduated from Pre-school in June and began Kindergarten in August. At his graduation he said he wants to be a dad when he grows up. Owen loves Kindergarten; he’s in Mrs. Fairbanks classroom, she’s great, and he’s made a bunch of new friends. One thing we learned about Owen from his teacher is that he monitors the weekly points his group needs to earn in order to get prizes on Fridays, then motivates his group to do the activities that reward the most points. Owen played on a T-ball team for the first time this year. His team was called the Giants; he was anything but giant compared to the other players. Though he was really shy most the practices and games, when he got up to the plate he always hit the ball well, without using the tee. He’s got a great eye for the ball and a powerful swing. Owen played his second soccer season and was on the Toucans again, which Rob coached. Some of his favorite things to play with are legos, guns, swords, a friend, he loves to laugh and tease, & is getting closer to counting to 100 by himself. He is super excited to have a brother in January!!
Laci is our little “mother” & loves to be in charge. She’s quite stubborn, like her dad, and we work daily with her on keeping her tears & whining under control. She’s in a little pre-school class with some of her favorite friends. The class is 3 months long, 3 days a week & only lasts an hr & a half. She asks every day if she gets to go. Her imagination has really blossomed in the last few months. It’s not uncommon for me to over hear her playing in the other room talking to herself & her imaginary friends. She loves to “help” Jane, though Jane screams every time she does. She tried dancing for about a month, but she was a little shy & chose to take a break. We might start her in a different program/class with a friend next year. She really loves to dance all the time. Some of Laci’s favorite things are anything pink and sometimes purple, princesses & dollies.
Jane is becoming a true 2 year old. She loves to say “no” & get her own way. She’s able to say more and more words every day. Some of the words she uses all the time are “help me, Owen, Saci (Laci), Mommy, Daddy, baby, puter (computer), candy, shoes, tub (she loves to take baths), soutside (outside) & Tommy”. She adores baby Thomas Robertson next door & talks about him all the time. We love her little voice! She started Nursery @ church (a class for 18 month- 3 yr olds) in August & has been adjusting pretty well. Laci is in there with her & of course tries to mother her around. She’s learning fun new songs & asks to sing them all the time. Her favorites right now are “Itsy Bitsy Spider” and “Popcorn Popping”.
Rob & I were able to take a little couples trip w/ Jed & Tiffanie Hancock in May to St. Simons Island, Georgia & parts of Florida. Nick & Nikki Hopkins were so generous to let us stay at their house & then show us the ropes of Disney World. We had a blast going on rides and were able to go on more in one day than most people do in a week! We also went on a gator air-boat ride, caught some crabs & shark, stayed in a tree house resort & had a blast catching up with old friends. Speaking of the shark, that’s how and when I found out I was pregnant. Rob, Jed & Nick were out crabbing and sharking the pier and decided to bring a shark home to cook for us to eat! I’ll just say it reeked up the house & it was all I could do to hold my bite down. I had just taken the pregnancy test before they got home & I didn’t want to tell Rob yet. We’ll be welcoming baby #4 around January 12th and are super excited to have another boy in the family!
We are eternally grateful for Heavenly Father’s many blessings this year, and hope you have been able to recognize them in your lives as well.
From our home to yours…MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Love, baby boy, Jane (23 mo), Laci (3.5 yrs), Owen (5.5 yrs), Raeanne, and Rob
