Thanksgiving!

 I'm back!!!

Blogger is no longer free (lame!) well it is as long as you don't post anything ! Now I have to pay monthly to be able to post pics on my blog. I am very upset about this because there isn't a smaller "fee" I can pay and they are making me pay for too much space that I don't need. But oh well I'm over it I want to keep my blog going and this is the only way. I don't mind paying for it they just should give better options for people like me.

BLAH!

ok on to Thanksgiving
We were thinking about going to Dallas this year just because Rob had some time off that week and why not? but things didn't work out and rob is now having a lot of time off at Christmas so we think it's better to go up there then and play when we have more time. So we found a few friends who didn't really have plans and threw together a very last minute TG! It was a fun get together even though I don't care for thanksgiving food. really I don't..I eat some mashed potatoes and some rolls... but other than that I don't really care for anything else! I still managed to eat WAY too much (figure that out?)

but it was good and then of course I went black "Friday" which is now Thursday shopping with my neighbor Jen. I know some people are very anti but I love going! my friend Mel got me hooked the first year I was in jersey. I think it's fun and I never wait in line I just go when the stores are already open. it's busy but I score some great deals!

hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. the list is so very long of the things I am grateful for. So I will spare you. just know I am VERY aware of how blessed me and my family are. I think about it everyday (not just this time of year) oh how I love my family!

Matt smoked a turkey since I wont make one.
I don't eat it so I wont make it!

Roxy was loving the food especially the eggs!

don't ask about these next pics.
I love this girl!

While sitting down talking Matt realized our celine fan was on reverse! (um ya...two years in this house and we never knew I guess) the problem with this fan is it's about 30 feet in the air! Rob tried to reach the switch to turn it back but he was too short. so matt did it but I was scared to death he was going to die!

I didn't get any pics but we had "dizzy" races with the kids and then of course the adults joined it. it was pretty funny.

and then this happened.....

I didn't know I would love this so much!

MY GARDEN!!!!!!

I have never wanted plants in my house because I would always kill them. I'm talking flowers, potted house plants etc. But I had a garden growing up (ok my dad did and it was AWESOME) but lets be honest my dad did all the work. But I knew that I wanted to try it once I had a house and room to do it. Well it's been SO fun having one! The kids love it and I love being able to grow my own food! it really does give you a sense of pride and accomplishment and honestly it's not hard and does not require much skill so that's a bonus!

Apparently in Texas you can grow things in just about every season. SCORE! So this fall this is what I've got growing......

chili peppers
basil
chives
cilantro
green onions
Pumpkin
Zucchini
radishes
tomitillo
snow peas
snap peas
Corn

I'm so excited! It's all growing really well. the only thing that didn't sprout were yellow onions and lettuce. Bummer! but I'll work on that next spring!
I can't wait to plant more stuff this spring! Watermelon and strawberries are calling my name!!!!

here are a few pics of our harvest!

Zucchini!! it's heavier than her!!!!

corn! So excited about this one!

Pumpkins (too bad they didn't grow in time for Halloween)

radishes

more zucchini

Tomitillo

Snow peas

snap peas

HOT chilies

Basil..lots of basil

My corn field!

I missed a few pics of some things growing but that's my garden! I want to build more planters boxes and grow more and more, but my back yard is slowly shrinking so maybe not! anyway if you want or need anything come on over and pick what you want!

Halloween 2012

This year I knew I wasn't going to be in any shape to do a big family theme for costumes. makes me very sad but I had no ideas and no energy! But I figure it's good because the boys really wanted to pick out their own costumes this year. I asked them what they wanted to be this is how it went...

Reven: I creepy skeleton!
Jeese: a Ninja Turtle!
Mason 300 eyes...

What the?? Ha ok lets do it!
I was a little confused at first with Mason but then I realized he was being super creative and made up an awesome costume! So I was excited to make it for him. I bought those really sticky eyes from the store and sewed them onto black pants and a shirt. (there was about 51 of them...not 300. shhh don't tell him) and then we glued on a bunch of googly eyes to his face! he LOVED it! I was so excited that he was being so creative. that's my boy!

Also since I usually make my kids dress up in what I want them too I'll probably never get to put Roxy in anything "cutesy" so this year I wanted her to be a witch!  I know So cliche but I love little witch costumes and I have to say she was the cutest witch EVER!!! Everyone loved her costume!

We had a Fall festival at church which is also HUGE and I was on the committee on putting it together. It went a lot smoother this year than last and it was fun! The kids had a blast and of course Halloween they went around the neighborhood and got WAY too much candy! But it usually lasts a year ( I do not let my kids go hog wild with their candy we eat it sparingly..) and it took Roxy about one house to realize what was going on. she would then run (as good as you can for an 18 month old) from house to house. it was so cute!

LOVE HALLOWEEN!

I of course we still had to dress up! pregnant or not it IS Halloween after all!! I thought this costume was pretty hilarious and so did everyone else. (my sign says "the Devil made me do it") and no that's not my real belly. I stuffed!

it's only inappropriate if you think about it!
