Let me tell you about a couple conversations I have had with this little stinker lately.

In the middle of Hobby Lobby:

Jess: Mom can we go to the park?

Me: no Jesse its raining and I don't want to get wet.

Jess: well it's only sprinkling, how about when the rain drops get bigger we can leave?

Me: No  it's raining and I don't want to be out there.

Jess: It's not raining it's sprinkling YOU IDIOT!

Oh my goodness!!!

you know that noise you make when you suck in air quickly almost like your scared? I don't know how to spell that noise but I did that extremely loud and said "what did you say???" He knew he was in trouble. Now I know that he doesn't really know what that word means at all so I didn't get mad. I just quickly explained we don't ever say that word and call people that because it's not nice at all. I felt like one of those moms in the store where the kids are basically yelling and cussing at their mom and they don't do anything about it! So we left.

Later at home...

Me: Jesse where did you learn the word idiot?

Jess: I don't know (looking very sheepish)

Me: tell me Jesse, mommy needs to know?

Jess: from a tv show

Me: which one?

Jess: (not wanting to say it) Johnny Test

this Test show is a fairly new show they've started to watch. I've seen it and it didn't have like any educational or moral to it but the boys LOVED it so I let them watch. well NOT anymore. I told Jesse that they will no longer be able to watch that show because it teaches them bad things. He was very sad because he likes it but I just told him it's not good and they can't watch it. so we went to play outside for a little while.

about 10 minutes later back inside the house.

Jess: mom I need to tell you something.

Me: sure what's up?

Jess: um well I didn't learn idiot from Johnny Test. I actually learned it from Curious George.

Me: (biting my tongue so hard so I don't laugh hysterically)  Jesse I don't think so. George doesn't say those words.

Jess: no really mom it was George not Johnny

Me: (losing it at this point) No dude, we will not be watching Johnny anymore and please don't make up stories.

MY 4 YEAR OLD IS GENIUS!!!!!

and kind of a liar

but lets focus on the genius part!

 I told that to Rob and we were laughing so hard! He is the craziest funniest kid I have ever met! 

I think we are in BIG trouble with this kid!

Roxy is a funny little girl!

Rox is always making me laugh. She is learning new stuff everyday and she is so sweet and innocent that I just love watching her reactions to everything. The boys love her too and never leave her alone. She loves them too but if the try to touch her she freaks out on them. 

She loves to fist bump. And she needs to get one form everyone in the room all the time!

She has discovered she loves parks which I don't really like because they are death traps at this age!

She almost never has clothes on

Roxy LOOOOOVES animals. like freak out crazy loves them. even just a picture of an animal with make her squeal with delight. She is so funny to watch. one day I took her into Petsmart just to see what would happen. She LOVED it!

And sometimes she is just weird!

More lake time

So it's starting to cool down here a little. Not much but enough to make the lake trip start slowing down. We decided last minute to take the boat out again for probably one of the last runs of the summer. makes me sad but boy has it been a FUN summer. One thing I have realized with a boat is that there is never enough weekend or light in the day or room on the boat! We want to take all our friends all the time but there is just no way. We can't fit too many people on the boat in the first place so usually just one family can come. and then there are so many people who want to go that is seems like they only got to go out once the whole summer! makes me sad. But I guess that's what happens. If you want to come with us LET ME KNOW and we will plan it! It's just so hard with schedules and what not. But we went out last Friday just our little family. We like to do this a lot too because it's way easy to just go and we like spending this time with the kids and letting them swim and tube without rushing anyone. I love our family and I am loving having a boat!!!

Reven was taking pretty much all these pics. He's getting to be a good little photo guy! LOVE IT!

Here is Rev on the board!! He's getting so good. he can't stay up too long but you'll see in the video that he's almost there! I am SO proud!

Nasty

The kids and I were playing out front one afternoon riding bikes and what not. when I went to run in the house for something and saw something black in the corner of my front porch.....

Is that? 

 no for sure not.

A TARANTULA!!!!

sitting on my front porch just chillin. are you kidding me???? I can't even kill a little beetle because it's so nasty there is no way I am going to be able to get rid of this!! I freaked out to say the least, called Rob's office and told his front office girl to tell Rob to GET HOME NOW! She was freaking out with me of course. We waited until Rob got home about 40 min later. (no, he didn't leave early for me he was already on his way) and then he killed it with a shovel. 

SICK!

My Deck!!!

We had this wasted space in our yard where the previous owners had his garden. well there was no grass put in or sprinklers there so it just filed with weeds and that was it. So one day I asked Rob if he would build me a deck there. AND HE DID! It's been a process and it's actually been done for awhile but we just finished painting it this weekend so I wanted to blog! He did such a good job on it and I love it. We are getting a fire pit this weekend and I want some pretty white lights to hang from the pergola and then we can start having "Mellow" parties!!!  (Marshmallow parties that is!) I am so excited! Now if only it would get below 102 degrees!
