Ok so this whole "Kid-in-school" thing takes some getting used too! Last thurs I get a call around 10:30 am. On my phone it says "Faubian" (that's the name of Rev's school) My heart skipped a beat and I flew out of my chair. "why are they calling me? what's going on? What's happened?" I answer....quite calm I must say. And it's the school nurse (yikes!)
It turns out that Reven smashed his finger pretty bad in the door at school and he's just being checked out by the nurse for precaution. She just wanted to me know that when I picked him up he would have swelling and bruise on his finger. She let me talk to him and he was crying and really sad but he is my tough guy so I told her that in a few minutes he would be fine and would want to stay at school.
Well 15 min later I get another call from his teacher. She said they were reading story and he's just sitting there crying and that is SO not like him. And that he was braking every one's heart! She asked if I could come down and comfort him or maybe bring him home. So off we went to see him. He LOVES school... I can't even tell you how much. So I know he would want to stay but when I got there he fell apart. He wouldn't stop crying and was saying it hurt. So I just took him home he was going to be sad all day.
and to be honest...it was BAD! He smashed it real good.
as you can see...........
ok I'M NOT DONE....
So tues (just 5 days later) We get Reven off to school and Rob leaves for work. Around 10:00 am Mason pukes EVERYWHERE! it was really really nasty! poor guy he was not feeling well. Well I had this strange feeling that I would be getting a call soon. sure enough 1/2 hour later the school calls me. Reven threw up ALL OVER THE CAFETERIA! Poor thing, throwing up at school is so traumatizing! I still remember when I did it in 1st grade all over this girls work ahhhh it still makes me sad! Anyway I had to come and get him again. My poor guys were sick and throwing up all day, and then Rob got it! Now I know I am the momma and I am supposed to take care of my family. But taking care of very sick kids and hubby while I am still SOOO sick is just not fair! looking at a piece of chicken makes me gag, can you imagine how awful it was holding a hot bowl of throw up while my kids puke over and over? Ewwwwww
Anyway, everyone seems to be on the mend. Mason is still a little blah but hopefully getting back 100%. I never got it (fingers crossed!) oh unless you count having it for 12 weeks straight!
I think all my boys were just having sympathy pain :)
