Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! It's a little late, I had more important things to post first! Well, Christmas was wonderful of course, how can it not be when you have 2 crazy boys? It was definitely quite because we had no family around, which we missed very much. but it was also nice to be at home, just our little family ya know? well, not so little anymore I guess! The boy's had a great time, and got lots of wonderful things, too much I would say, but family always has to spoil them right? Reven would open a present and then toss it aside and say "more present" spoken like a true child right? We are grateful to be so blessed, and try and remember the true spirit of Christmas. We are so grateful for the birth of our Savior, and all he has done for us! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! Enjoy the pics, it's a hard to believe we will have ANOTHER boy running around next Christmas!

More Details!

Alright I wanted to give you guys some more details! **Warning** if the last time you checked the blog was before Christmas, you might want to scroll down and read the next post first, or you might be a little confused! Ok so if you do know what's going on I just wanted to fill you in a little bit because I haven't been able to say anything for the past 6 months (my choice I know) but I feel like there is a lot to tell.

Ok so back in July, when Mason was barley 6 months old, we found out we were pregnant AGAIN! Needless to say we didn't plan or expect it. but sometimes you can "protect" yourself all you want, and you still get pregnant. well after ignoring if for a long time, we finally excepted it and were excited. I was extremely sick with this one, but I still didn't throw up. I never have with the others and glad for that part. but that still doesn't take away the nauseousness and feeling disgusting ALL the time. I thought being pregnant is hard enough but having 2 little kids to take care of also, is 100 times as hard. But I fought through it because there really is nothing else I could have done. for all those that I did get to see in AZ this past Aug, yes I was prego and just hid it the whole time. I pretended like I wasn't sick, and that everything didn't make me want to puke!!! ( pretty good acting huh?) but all is well and the sick part is mostly over...

ok on to the bad news. I am still on the state health insurance so that means NO doctors will take me I have to go to the stupid clinic again, and it's the most horrible experience I have ever gone through. and this is the second pregnancy I have had to deal with it. But that's for another post because I could go on forever about how terrible it is. ANYWAY, I couldn't get an appointment until I was 15 weeks (ahhh I know) and they did an ultrasound to see how far along I was, and they found a problem with the baby. The found a large Mass in his umbilical cord that they couldn't really tell what it was. the baby was still small and the machine was pretty old, but they told me it was probably his Intestines inside his cord rather than in his body. which would mean immediate surgery for him after a C-section, staying in the hospital for weeks or probably months until he got better, IF he got better. I was a wreck as you can imagine, there were so many questions that no one could answer. well they sent me to a different hospital with a better ultrasound machine. well long story short they are THINKING it is a varicose vein inside his umbilical cord. I didn't know that was possible but I guess it is, it's rare but they have seen it before. So at this point right now, he should be fine, but we really wont know until the birth. I have to have an ultrasound every 4 weeks to make sure he is growing ok. They still think it's a vein but never really have told me a definite answer. which is so frustrating, but I am glad we are watching him closely. So me and Rob Pray every day that things will go well for our baby. we have been very scared, but think it will be ok. I just wanted to let everyone know what's going on. I had problem when I was pregnant with Mason too (though not as bad) but everything turned out fine for him, so hopefully the same will happen with this one! sorry for the LONG post, just wanted to let it all out!

Here we go again...

First off, Merry Christmas everyone! I hope that you had a wonderful holiday! Ok so, I have been wanting to write this post for a long time, but I thought today would be perfect! I have a huge confession to make....well, more like a secret I guess. Alright if some of you are REALLY observant you will notice that for the past couple months, in all the pictures of me, I have been hiding something. What you ask? My stomach, Why you ask? well if you haven't guessed by now. I'm Pregnant! Ha, I bet you all weren't expecting that huh? believe me, neither were Rob and I! ok now for the other part of the confession..not only am I prego but I am 6 MONTHS Pregnant! ha ha, I wish I could see everyone's face right now. We have been keeping this a secret for 6 months! We found out about our little "accident" in July, and decided so to see how long we could go. mostly because when everyone knows you are expecting the pregnancy seems to last FOREVER... like 10 months isn't long enough right? Anyway, we finally told our families Christmas Eve ( i know right? I think they were a little mad we kept it so long, but they are happy) so I thought today would be a perfect day to let everyone else know! I have been DYING the past couple weeks, I didn't think I could hold it in. To all my friends and family who are pregnant (which seems like everyone).... when you told me you were, I was so close to telling you I was too but I didn't want to ruin it, so sorry! it has been very hard trying to hide it in all the pics. seriously go back and watch, I have a kid, or a pumpkin, or Rob, etc, in front of my belly because it's so big! Well, surprise everyone we are due March 23rd, and we are very excited. Oh and by the way....we are having ANOTHER Boy!!!! that's right, they have me surrounded...and I couldn't be happier! And I am so glad I don' t have to hide it anymore! though it has been fun! ( ps. there will be more details to follow, I just wanted to get this out in the open first...I'll let you know how it's been!)
baby boy number 3!
these two have no idea what's going on!
Here's our little man waving to us!

Yes, I know I am HUGE, I am just glad now that everyone knows that I am not just getting fat. I do have a good reason!!!

Box fun

We had to get Mason into a big car seat, so that meant we had to get another one for Reven and THAT means we had a big box in our house! and we all know how kids LOVE boxes. Well one day I was babysitting, Alexis and we decided to play with the box. they are just so cute aren't they???

Crazy Rob

So Rob decided to pop out of the box and surprise Reven and Alexis....what he didn't know is that I was planning to push him over the whole time! I absolutely love this video, I crack up every time!

Mason is one!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MASON!!!!

One year ago today (Dec 20th) Mason was born at 2:09 pm! I can't believe it has been a year already. where has the time gone really??? He was my little miracle baby, I was scheduled for a C-section on the 20th (because of complications from Reven's birth) and I went into the hospital and they were prepping me for surgery, and I went into labor. so I ask the Dr. if he thought it would be safe for me to deliver normally and he said it should be just fine. So, we didn't have the C-section and Mason was born happy and healthy and no complications AT ALL! What are the chances that I would go into labor 2 hours before my c-section??? I guess Mason knew that everything would be fine and I didn't need surgery! Happy Birthday Mason, we love you so much, you make us laugh everyday!

P.s. did you guys know, that Mason Carter Hogge, was actually named, Travis Carter Hogge for the first 2 day's of his life???? we loved the name Travis too but on the day the nurse brought in the birth certificate, I freaked out and decided that wasn't his name. so I called Rob from the hospital at 6 am and said "we are changing his name to Mason sorry babe!" Ha, isn't that funny???

December 20th 2006

and now look at him one year later...with stuff still all over his face! HA HA
and look at those front teeth! They are SO HUGE, and so far apart....poor guy.

Tagged....

So my friend Shandis tagged me. I think this is lame but she keeps bugging me, so this one's for you Shandis!

6 things most people don't know about me. Well my life is an open book and most everyone knows TOO much about me. but I will try and think of some things that might not be common knowledge.

1. My Bangs are my birth mark. I know that sounds weird but, the day I came out of my mama, I had a huge patch of hair on my forehead. The Dr. thought it might be a mole but turned out to be a birthmark. I have bangs to this day because I can't get rid of them. the skin underneath is a darker color like a birthmark, and the hair comes in all different colors....blond, black, brown, red, and white! I dye it of course! I will see if I can get a picture on here form the day I was born.

2.I have a phobia...there is no name for it and no one understands it. but my grandma, mom, and I all have it. we call it the "crack phobia" ha that sounds weird but, when things separate and crack like mud after it has rained, or when the sidewalk comes up because of a root of a tree. it gives me the "eebie jeebies" (sp???) or the worst is when a bird fluffs it's feathers and they are all separated out (I am getting goose bumps just thinking about it right now) that really grosses me out. My g-ma can't stand cutting open garlic or tomatoes. But that doesn't bother me. It's really weird, I hate it. and people think I am a freak because of it. I try to keep it to my self but sometimes I gag and people wonder why!

3. In New jersey under most of the freeway overpasses by my house. they have let (I can only assume) a bunch of kids paint things on the walls, (the wall where the cars pass under) there are some with hearts, and butterfly's, and fish, and kites. ok so, i HATE HATE HATE these overpasses. you can ask Rob and he will tell you, every time we drive under them or get stuck at a light and we are next to them. I get SO mad. I think they are the ugliest, tackiest thing I have ever seen. and can't believe someone was allowed to do this. I would rather look at illegal graffiti than this. I don't know why it bothers me so much but I hate it. Rob things it's funny that I get so mad.

4. I have been "Ghost hunting" many times! me and my Aunt sally love anything scary and haunted and ghoulish, etc. you already know Halloween is my favorite holiday so this may be no surprise. So Sally and I would go late at night to different cemeteries around the city and walk around and film it. Just looking for "ghost" or anything out of the ordinary. I know this sounds dumb and probably a little illegal but it was fun for us. we are crazy!

5. I have been car surfing many times. Now if you don't know what this is allow me to explain....car surfing is where one person is driving and the other person climbs on top of the roof of the car holds on to the sides while they drive around. how dangerous is that huh????? but it was so fun. me and my friend Andrea would go into residential neighborhoods and car surf at night so we wouldn't get caught. Stupid? yes....risky?of course...but oh so fun!

6. I was almost arrested for setting of fireworks off the roof of our church at night. Me and my friends (boys of course, no girls are this stupid right????except me I guess) well we climbed up the roof of our church (with a grappling hook I might ad....you know those things you only see in spy movies???) we got up there and lit off some fire works, thinking we wouldn't get caught. well sure enough the cops come screaming down the street fire truck and all. we tried to hide but they knew we were up there. they made us climb down the ladder of a fire truck. a couple of us in hand cuffs, and gave us the lecture. we almost got hauled off, but we called our bishop who was in charge of the building. and he came down (mind you, this was 3 in the morning) and he said he didn't want to press charges and he would deal with us. since they never found the fire works we set off (because we threw them) they didn't arrest us and didn't fine us. Boy were we lucky!!!!!

Bad Temper

ok so Mason has one of the worst Tempers I know. Reven is really bad now, but when he was Mason's age he wasn't this bad. Mase will be playing with a toy and doing just fine, then all of the sudden he will freak out and start screaming and throwing it across the room. usually it's for no reason. In this video, the blocks wont stay up for him so he throws them everywhere. I just laugh because it's so funny seeing such a little person act out. But I know I wont be laughing when he is Reven age. I don't know if we can handle TWO Reven's YIKES!!!! oh, and watch at the end when he trows the one little block....I still laugh so hard every time I see it!

Foot Grabber

Mason just loves to grab things with his feet. If he feels anything down by his feet he will grab it and bring it to his hands. he is so funny, I caught a little bit on video for you.

Happy Birthday Mason!

My little baby is getting so big :( We had Mason's Birthday party this weekend. He doesn't turn one until the 20th but I didn't think it would be fair to invite people to a party so close to Christmas. Anyway it went really well and Mason had a good time. We had friends over and ate pizza, and had cake (2 kinds!) and opened presents. and the kids all played together. It was really nice. I of course threw a John Deere Birthday party what else right? There is a slide show, but I thought I would ad some highlights......

John Deere Birthday boy! Presents!
Family birthday shot!
New blocks!

CAKE!!!
Yummy! Happy 1st Bday baby boy!

Silly Mason

Here is Mason at his Bday party. He does this all the time, and I keep wanting to get video of it but he stops every time I get the camera. but I got him this time, I don't really know what he is doing, or why he is doing it. but it's pretty funny!

Elmo

This is Mason's favorite toy he got for his Bday. He just loves Elmo so much. He keeps hugging him and kissing him, it's really cute. And my baby is so smart. I ask him to find Elmo's eyes and he points to them, and his nose. I love this stage!

CAKE!!!

Here is Mason eating his Birthday cake! He loved it of course, who wouldn't right? Rob smeared all the icing on his face, Mason was being so neat and clean so Rob had to make him messy. he has done this to Reven on his Bday's too. anyway it's a little loud, but I tell Mase to say cake and he says it a couple times. it's so cute!

Let it snow

Oh, isn't it on days like this, when you wake up and the ground is covered in pure white snow and all is quiet, that just make you say........WHY the heck do I live here?????????????????

Reven, how do you feel about all this snow and cold weather?

Me too!
