California

This weekend we made a quick trip to California so we could attend Rob's Grandma's 75th Birthday Party! We left Friday after school, dropped off our car, picked up Rob's Mom and headed to Mesquite to stay the night. Saturday morning we woke and continued on our way to California. The drive went by fairly fast and we stopped for some lunch at In and Out. We went to Rob's Aunt house and hung out until the party started. The party turned out great! It was a surprise party and it was so fun to see the look on his grandma's face when she saw how many people were there. She had no idea- all of Rob's aunts did a great job pulling it off. It was fun to hang and with his family and get to know them better. Sunday morning we woke up early and headed back to Utah. It was a long drive but totally worth it!

Update!

Wow- it has been a busy month! I will give a quick update!

1. School started for me! For those of you who don't know- this year I switched from teaching ESL to 2nd grade! It has been a lot of fun but has made my life BUSY! I pretty much feel like I have worked non stop since school started. I have a pretty good class- I am lucky to only have 19 students and it has been fun to get to know them and get the year started.

2. Rob started school! He is enjoying his classes and is busy with homework!

3. I turned 25! Really 25 sounds so old! I got to celebrate for many days and I had an awesome birthday- Thanks everyone!!!

4. Sarah and Kevin got married on September 5th and they had a beautiful wedding. Everything turned out so perfect and it was so fun to spend a few days hanging out with Sarah. I was her maid of honor and it was fun being in and seeing a big traditional wedding! I can't wait to see some pictures- everything was beautiful!!!

5. I got my first cold of the new school year- luckily it is almost gone!

Seems like more has happened but I guess not- I just have been spending lots of time at school! I hope everyone is enjoying SEPTEMBER!!!
