Reading Daddy's Bible

Bekah was sitting on the floor reading her daddy's Bible this morning. It's so precious to hear her "reading":

"Daddy's Bible...Jesus, My only Son, He loves you very, very much...one by one...Peter...Saul...little children...The B-I-B-L-E, yes, that's the Book for me. I stand alone on the Word of God, the B-I-B-L-E. Bible!...only Son, loves you very, very much...ok...let's pray. Father, you are good. Amen."

Conversation between Daddy and Daughter

Just overheard the following conversation between Nathan and Bekah:
Nathan: Are you ready for bed?
Bekah: No. How 'bout Ring around the Rosie?
Nathan: How 'bout bed?
Bekah: How 'bout Ring around the Rosie? Ok. Ready?

Sibling Relationship

The Blame Game Begins

Abby often says, "Aaaaaaagh!!!!" rather loudly.  Bekah has now made it a practice to say, "Aaaaaaagh!!!!" rather loudly and then say, "Abby noisy!"...even if Abby is being very quiet at the moment.

Big Sister Cheering for Younger Sister

While I was out running errands and Nathan was home with the girls, Abby had a majorly messy diaper.  When Bekah realized what Nathan was cleaning up, she said, "Oh yeah, that's good poopin'!"

Where does she come up with this stuff????

A Little Twist on a Familiar Saying

Several months ago, my mom started saying, "Bekah Bekah Bekah Boo, Bekah Bekah, I love you."  That caught on in our household, and we've all (except Abby, of course) have been saying that multiple times each day.  Today, Bekah put a new spin on it.  As I was changing the Poop Champ's (Abby's) diaper (which oddly was only wet), Bekah was saying, "Stinky stinky stinky poo.  Stinky stinky I love you."  I often find myself amazed at (and amused by) the things she comes up with.

"Are You...?"

Lately, we've been asking Bekah several questions, and she responds to each one.  The conversation often goes something like this...

"Bekah, are you great?"
"No."
"Are you special?"
"No."
"Are you precious?"
"No."
"Are you wonderful?"
"No."
"Are you cute?"
"No."
"Are you beautiful?"
"No."
"Are you smart?"
"No."
"Are you arrogant?"
"Arrogant!"

Missing Numbers

Bekah (counting pieces of a pea pod): "One.  Two.  Three.  Ten!"
Me: "What happened to four, five, six, seven, eight, and nine?"
Bekah: "Disappeared!"

Can Elephants Dance?

Set scene: Daddy answers the "phone" and hands it to Bekah.
Daddy: "It's the elephant. He wants to know if he can dance."
