Its been a strange year I must say..

I met the girl whom I thought could be the one for the rest of my life, and I lost her towards the last mth of the year..

Thought I could finally get the cert, I lost it during the last march..

Had forge great friendship with the brotherhood, made friends into brotherly bounds, yet lost the girl that I love..

A twist and turn.. Really 2009 will be a better year.

First day of work

and I quit the job. Part of the reason was that I didn't expect it to be a 6 day week job. What I was told was a 5 day week job.
Another part of the reason was that my mind is still in a messy state.

Lawyer joke.

A lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars, then insured them against, among other things, fire.Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars and without yet having made even his first pemium payment on the policy the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company. In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost 'in a series of small fires.' The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason, that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion.

The lawyer sued and WON !

Delivering the ruling, the judge agreed with the insurance company that the claim was frivolous. The judge stated evertheless, that the lawyer held a policy from the company, which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it would insure them against fire, without defining what is considered to be unacceptable 'fire' and was obligated to pay the claim. Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000 to the lawyer for his loss of the cigars lost in the 'fires'.

After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company had him arrested on 24 counts of ARSON!!! With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case being used against him, the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his insured property and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000 fine.

Damn, I'm suppose to be studying now.. yet I can't! LOL!. Since its 1.30am now.. I might as well do something fun while waiting for my hair to dry..

First of all, its gonna be my dream.

Yes, my first car that I call my own. I'm targetting June 09 to be the month.

Here are my choices.

First choice,

The new Subaru Imprezza WRX STi MY09

300bhp @ stock, my top choice, and its great looks in hatch is really my love! With quat exhaust, its gonna be loud! Price? $100k for a brand new one. Quite beyond my reach at the moment, but nth is impossible with Jesus.

2nd on the list is

Subaru Imprezza WRX STi MY08

Previous model, but still a hotcake, quite alot in the 2nd hand market means I can get it at a rather "affordable" price. hehz. 280bhp @ stock, easily up at 370bhp with just a few Ks. Most prob this will be the one I'm getting. Should be able to get a less than 3 years old model at 70k.

Up next,

Honda Integra Type R

Another old model, this DC5 has been my dream car(Besides evo) since I was young, 215bhp at stock, slower than the Sti but its a coupe! Its red bucket seats is my love! The down part is its price and the insurance.. Should be able to get a 3 years old model at 70k+.

4th on the list

Toyota MR-S Sypder

Not really a performance car like the rest of my list and definately an old model, out since 02, and been in production till 06, there's no new car on market now and most are frankly, over priced. The upside is its a 2seater open top. With 140bhp on the tap, its slow but with so many turbo kits for sale, its easily a 200+bhp car. Another downside? Its expensive since its out of production and not many open top cars in the market. A 4 year old model is ard 70k.

Lastly, the most affordable of all.

Subaru Imprezza WRX 2.0L MY06

The old reliable 2L model of the wrx. Old but trusty, and frankly very affordable, easily ard the price range of 50-60k for a 4 year old model. Downside? High maintaince and running cost. And its quite old already.. Oh well.. I want my STi!

The pursue of dream..

Its coming to the end of my course and here I am, at the crossroad once again. The path on my left is the continuation of my course for a degree, on my right is to fulfill my dream.

I need to decide fast as it could mean a start or an end of a dream, and an education. Friends are made during this almost 2 years of education, life have changed as well, and I've aged 2 years since. Not young anymore I told myself, Frank mentioned that we are already 23 and we've still no sense of any achivement. Wayne Rooney had already pocketed 8 digit into his bank account while me? Still struggling at 5.

The dream kept coming every night, could it be a hinting? Well, I'll apply for both and see whichever comes. I really wanna get into that desired job. I don't wanna wait any longer, its painful to think of something that is so close, yet it isn't.

I declare in Jesus's name that I'll get that desired job and I'll fulfill my promise to myself, and to be able to achieve my dream by 25.

Affordable Mercedes.

Some of you may already know that I travel around the region pretty frequently, having to visit and conduct seminars at my offices in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Su Zhou(China).I am in the airport almost every other week, so I get to bump into many people who have attended my seminars or have read my books.Recently, someone came upto me on a plane to KL and looked rather shocked. He asked, 'How come a millionaire like you is travelling economy?' My reply was, 'That's why I am a millionaire.' He still looked pretty confused. This, again confirms that greatest lie ever told about wealth(which I wrote about in my latest book 'Secrets of Self Made Millionaires'). Many people have been brainwashed to think that millionaires have to wear Gucci, Hugo Boss, Rolex etc. (I shop at G2000 by the way) and sit on first class in air travel. This is why so many people never become rich because the moment they earn more money, they think that it is only natural that they spend more, putting them back to square one.The truth is that most self-made millionaires(not those lucky who inherited money) are frugal and only spend on what is necessaryand of value. That is why they are able to accumulate and multiply their wealth so much faster. Over the last 7 years, I have saved about 80% of my income while today I save only about 60% (because I have my wife, motherin law, 2 maids, 2 kids, etc. to support). Still, it is way above most people who save 10% of their income (if they are lucky). I refuse to buy a first class ticket or to buy a $300 shirt because I think that it is a complete waste of money. However, I happily pay $1,300 to send my 2-year old daughter to Julia Gabriel Speech and Drama without thinking twice.When I joined the YEO(Young Entrepreneur's Organization) a few years back (YEO is an exclusive club open to those who are under 40 and make over $1m a year in their own business) I discovered that those who were self-made, thought like me. Somehow, when you did not have to build everything from scratch, you do not really value money. Thank god, my rich dad(oh no, I sound like Kiyosaki) foresaw this terrible possibility and refused to give me a cent to start my business.Then some people ask me, 'What is the point in making so much money if you don't enjoy it?' The thing is that I don't really find happiness in buying branded clothes, jewelry or sitting first class. Even if buying something makes me happy, it is only for a while. It does not last. Material happiness never lasts, it just give you a quick fix. After a while you feel lousy again and have to buy the next thing which you think will make you happy. I always think that if you need material things to make you happy, then you live a pretty sad and unfulfilled life.Instead, what makes ME happy is when I see my children laughing and playing and learning so fast. What makes me happy is when I see my companies and trainers reaching more and more people every year in so many more countries. What makes me really happy is when I read all the emails about how my books and seminars have touched and inspired someone's life. What makes me really happy is reading all your wonderful posts about how this BLOG is inspiring you. This happiness makes me feel really good for a long time, much much more than what a Rolex would do for me.I think the point I want to put across is that happiness must come from doing your life's work(be in teaching, building homes, designing, trading, winning tournaments, etc.) and the money that comes is only a by-product.If you hate what you are doing and rely on the money you earn to make you happy by buying stuff, then I think that you are living a life no better than a prostitute.

Absent from school but a whole shopping spree!

Eye big big doesn't always means good. You'll be in deep shit when your lense broke in your eyes.. Took me a few hours to remove it. Tried very long to remove it but to no avalib.

Well, I prayed and went to sleep, and suddenly, the lense just came off my eyes. The power of prayers. :)

Went to the woodlands library since I didn't went to school today to prevent my eyes from getting an infection. Studied for a few hours but ended up going to causeway point to get a new pair of spects. No Tag heuer and I realise that not many can see its a tag heuer thanks to so many look-alike frames ard so I've gotten a ray ban spec instead.

After countless of search, I've finally decided to invest on a watch that I really want. And hey, its IWC. Forget abt the tissot, the oris, the omegas, the rolex... I've decided on the IWC watch.

This is the Pilot Chrono. Which I've just went to view at Cortina just now. I guess I love it! Am gonna talk to daddy tmr to see if we can work out anything for me. hehz.

Watch hunting.. Part 2.

There's a sudden twist in my hunt for a watch after my current Tissot went to the watch hospital for the 3rd time in just slightly more than a year. Mind you, I bought 1 of the more expensive Tissot quatz model and its giving me all these trouble. Urgh!


Well, Daddy know that I'm on the lookout for a watch so he gave me his old Rolex since he doesn't want it anymore. I love Daddy! :) :) :) But the problem is, there's loads of scratches and he ask me to bring it to Tong centre to overhaul it, which I have went to Hourglass to ask for the cost of overhauling it..

Just around $1000.

Urghs. I need to change the glass as its scratched(My daddy was an engineer when he bought the watch), and he didn't bother to repair it.

Well, he asked me to sell it and maybe get another Rolex or something that I want... So I'm hunting for a watch again.. Which lead to this ponder.. Should I keep the watch? and buy a cheaper model like an Oris.. Or just hoot a sports model from rolex?

Topping up a few more K for the watch could be quite tough for me at this stage of my life which I'm not working.. but deep down I know I want a Rolex! Nono.. I NEED A ROLEX!

Maybe I'll just go for the Oris that I saw at Emotus today.. but at $1.6k... Could it be too much to pay for a watch with no value?

Its international Buffet!! :D:D:D Well, I guess its pretty obvious I'm indulge in the seafoods. Lobstersss Lobstersss!! And loads of prawns! lol. Seriously, the buffet is great! Possibly the best in Singapore. No kidding. One can tell whether the buffet is great or not by just eating the most simple item, the bread. :) I've like 4 buns even though its like the most bo hua item. I simply love it to the max, I wun even mind paying $2 a bun if its sold outside. Well, the main items that I recommend when u go there are the fresh lobsters(get your money worth! haha), flavoured prawns, braised pork(must try, fat but its worth it), the buns(hehe, its love), crackers biscuits(Serious its godsent), ice-cream, choccolates, black chicken soup(HAHA, girls stuff, but i love it too). The downside is, every good thing comes at a price, it cost $85/pax after ++ and its $170 for 2. Not exactly expensive if u gauge it with the food that they offer.
