Rainy Days and Fridays

It's raining, It's pouring
The old man is snoring!
He bumped his head and
couldn't get up in the morning
What to do with a rainy day? Robert has been asking for cinnamon rolls for three days in a row now. When he woke up this morning that is the first thing he said, "I wan cimon oll." So, we made cinnamon rolls with the help of Betty. I actually really love my Grandma Burn's cinnamon roll recipe the best, but without buttermilk and it takes most the day to make them we opted for the second best choice.

Happy Birthday Big Sister!

Happy Birthday Renae! I love knowing I can call you with all my little emergencies and you are always willing to listen and help. The best part of being the little sister is having a lot of older and wiser ones to look up to. Have a wonderful birthday and eat lots of cake!

Katelyn's first day of Pre-K

Last Friday, Katelyn started her first day of school. Her class isn't until after lunch, but she came downstairs dressed with her backpack on ready to go at 7:54 am! She was happy when I picked her up and said the teacher told her she had to wait her turn to talk. I guess she wasn't one of the shy ones on the first day of school.

The things Katelyn says...

Mom: "Katelyn! No Kicking!"

Katelyn: "I didn't kick him. I just wanted to feel his back with my feet."

Weird things happen at church

Yesterday at church, someone handed us a Hymn book with a note inside addressed to Rob and Lisa and dated Dec. 27, 2001. It was a Hymn book we received for our wedding. I do not remember bringing a Hymn book to church, or how long the Hymn book was there, but I am glad it found us.

Jay

Jay Adamson is my cousin. He went hiking west of the Great Salt Lake Wednesday, and no one has heard from him since. Today, Saturday a searcher found his body in a deep crevice. We are saddened by the news. To read more about him please click here.
My last memory with Jay was in July at Aspen Grove. Robbie and I were playing Jay and Ken in the cut throat Rook tournament. It was a long game, mostly because Ken and Jay took forever to even play one card, but that was okay because I learned some new strategies about Rook by playing with him.
