Growing up

Having a baby around makes it seem like my boys are so big and old! I gave them pretzels for a snack the other day and Nate called me in to look at what he had done. I was pretty impressed! He was asking me when he was going to Kindergarten, and I told him not for another year. Then he said, "why do they go to school and work in the garden all day?" He thought it was kinderGARDEN.

Sleeping kids

I love to go into my kids rooms at night and see
what position they're sleeping in. They always
look so sweet and peaceful. Kennedy is my champion
sleeper. This past week she has slept for 8 hours
straight at night. It has been so lovely! Tonight Rich and
the boys are at the Father/Son campout and we are
having a fun girls night!

Summer Fun!

It is so hot here already! Last Saturday we took the boys to our neighborhood pool, and there was a sign that said, "Closed due to fecal contamination." Always something fun to know! So, Rich went to the store and got a slip-in-slide and kiddie pool. They played in it ALL afternoon and had the best time!

Photo Shoot

My friend, Lori Tolbert, took these beautiful pictures of Kennedy last week. She is so talented and I will LOVE having these forever. My favorite one we are using for a baby announcement, (which she also designed) so I'll save that one for a surprise! Kennedy slept for 7 hours straight last night! She is such an angel. Of course, after about 4 hours I was up checking on her a ton, but it was still a nice treat. At her 4 week appointment today she weighed 10 lbs- so she's starting to grow. But, I would love to freeze time and have her stay my tiny little girl forever! I am loving every single minute with her.

Happy Mother's Day!

I have to post about what a wonderful Mother I have. I got SO lucky in this area! My Mom truly is the most giving and selfless person. She will drop anything to take care of her family. Not only is she the best Mom, but is such an amazing "Nana" to my kids. She has always done so much for my family, but since having Kennedy she has really taken care of us. The boys wake up each day wanting to know if Nana is coming and if they can go to her house. I love you Mom and am so grateful for you! I really don't know what I would do without her.

Best Dad in the World!

Rich has really gone above and beyond since having
Kennedy. He does everything for the boys when he's
home and they have LOVED spending so much time
with him. Thursday he took the day off and they
went to the zoo, Friday night they went camping,
and Saturday they helped him in the yard and then
went to the pool. Tanner has spent the past 2 1/2 years
of his life being VERY attached to me, and all of a sudden
only wants his Dad. It is very sweet! I am so grateful to
have such a great husband and father to my kids.

2 1/2 Weeks Old

At her 2 week appointment this week Kennedy was up to 8.7 lbs. She is growing but still so tiny! She really is such a good, calm, and easy baby. I can't believe how much she sleeps! Newborns are the most fun thing in the world and I am enjoying every minute with her. My boys have been so sweet today giving me tons of hugs and kisses, making me breakfast, and keep telling me "Happy Mother's Day." I am so grateful to be a Mom to these darling kids who I love so much.
