This is Tanner's new smile for the camera. I'm really
trying to help him remember how he used to smile!

Nate's Funnies

I have loved reading the funny things other kids say. Here are a few of Nate's from this week:

Yesterday, out of the blue, he told me, "Mom, I won't need you when I get older. I'll have a wife to take care of me. But, I'll come visit you sometimes." Was he trying to break my heart????

At the park on Monday, two other Mom's were talking, and one of them said "butt." Nate marched up to her and said "Ma'am, excuse me, but we don't say butt." When she ignored him and kept talking, he wouldn't quite let it go. "Excuse me, but you shouldn't say butt." At this point I decided to have a race with him so he would leave her alone.

A few days before at the park, he was playing with an 8-year-old who kept wanting to have races. After a few times of getting beat, I could tell Nate was done with this game, but it's all the other kid wanted to do. Instead of saying he didn't want to race, Nate said, "Sorry, I'm actually not supposed to run, because I have really low blood pressure." The boy seemed very intrigued by this, and suddenly felt so sorry for Nate. I had no idea he even knew what blood pressure was! On the way home, we talked about just saying he was done with the game instead of making things up!

I LOVE the things these kids say, and can't imagine what could entertain me more.

Tanner is getting so big! His favorite pastimes are reading and doing anything that has to do with Thomas the Train. He will be such a cute big brother, but I am sad that he won't be my baby anymore!

Girls Getaway

We had SUCH a fun girls weekend together. We laughed so much and it was a great little getaway. I love spending time with all of these women who are my family and favorite girls in the world! Emily and I are due about 3 weeks apart, and we are both having girls. It will be fun to have them grow up together.

We took Nate skiing in Utah last weekend and had such a fun time! I couldn't believe how easily he picked it up- it was so much fun to watch. I'm not sure which he liked better though- skiing or playing in ALL the Utah snow.
