Clara on the campaign trail

Rumor has it that John McCain made a brief stop in Jackson early on Halloween night with a quick speech to fire up his local supporters.

The presidential candidate also made time in his busy schedule to pose for a few photos, particularly with a certain reporter from the Jackson County Pilot ...

... and he left with a hard-to-resist invitation to vote John McCain as the United States' next president ...

... so what are you waiting for? Go VOTE!

Labor Day Fun

Hello, I am Juleah the dare devil! Hello, I am Clara the hungry bear in Auntie Jenni and Uncle Jason's garden
In the pepper patch!
Me and my "puppy" Chevy!
"Go like this Clara!"

Clara's 9 month photos

Okay, so Clara turned 10 months today(Sept 1st) but here are her "9 month" photos taken by daddy on our deck! Juleah ha the same photos taken when she was 9 months old. Clara has been a troper this summer-Black eye and ink eye all in the same week! Not to mention falling out of her pool onto her face two times! Wow that makes me feel like a really good mom! My Clara on the move as she has been since mid-July!
Our family summer photo-Clara loved it-I mean screamed her head off!
Aren't we proud!
Lots of summer fun!

Busy Summer

It was hard to pick 5 pictures to represent these past 7 weeks of life in MN! Juleah has been on a boat 5 times and tubing once! Slept in 6 different places and called 3 of them "home"-because Daddy was there. She has been to two fairs! Seen 2 Grandma's and seen 3 Great-Grandma's. She is starting to think most ladies names is Grandma. Even followed the older people in wheel chairs around the fair and tried to say to them. She is full of more energy than her mom and seems to put her sister in her place as she gave Clara her first black eye! Here is a jet tube at Auntie Paula's where we got to see daddy! This tube is like going on a mini vacation! Here is Juleah's companions of the past few weeks -Auntie Ang and Uncle Marc at our new home!
Here are her other buddies -Ryan's cousins son Jacob who lives 20 min. away and Robbie-Auntie Paula's foster son-many good times these three!
I had to show off my two nieces-aren't they adorable! Twin girls-6 months old! Miley (bottom) and Carley
Hi Zach! How was hokcey practice? Got any moves to teach me?

Life this week!

Here is my piglet eating the snack of her choice-cauliflower! This is when I realize that not doing daycare anymore may be challenging too! Juleah is anxiously waiting for Levi and Isaiah to arrive-still in her night gown!
Our day at Grimes Farm-Nature Center...can you believe there were 4 babies that didn't even make it into the photo! We were 5 busy moms keeping them together and safe!
Clara and Ava are just one week apart!
Clara's gone country on us!

Sisterhood

Don't we look great in our new dresses from Auntie Jenni and Uncle Jason (Mexico trip) And how about our turtle swim suits-imagine that!
I am lovin' it!

Our Adventures

Clara's first trip to the races. She did really well! Here is my little DIVA! Juleah was sure that Ryan was in one of those race cars and she was cheering "Go daddy!" It was too cute, I just let her believe it! When he came to hug her she said "Good job daddy!"
So we have officially become tourist of Marshalltown, seeing all the cites we managed to not have time for in the past three years. I guess somethings are more fun when you have two little girls with you.
Just me and my daddy. That is presicly how Juleah perfers it to be! Clara on the other hand is still a mommies girl-I wonder why?
Here is our annual famliy hand picture. This year Clara's hand was added and Juleah's hand is not longer in action! I realize now that I maybe didn't pick the best picture to show you, but we got a few more. We decided the stone represents the year because our family is working to build our home on the Rock of Christ.

Saying Good-bye to Marshalltown as a Family

Clara is loving life, and loves a good outing with the fam!
Her vocabulary has expanded from "ma, ma" to "da, da"!
We call her grabby girl, cause she seems to have go-go gadget arms. Juleah cannot eat bread herself, but she is enjoying giving some to the ducks. For those of you that don't know we are moving soon,
so we decided to finish our "fun to do someday in Marshalltown" list.
Which lead us to take Juleah to Taylor's Maid Rite. It is the original of the branch. It is what put Marshalltown on the map for us Minnesotans.
For those of you who are unfamiliar: here is the typical meal. A malt served in a water glass with a straw and a ground burger on a bun. The meat is so loose that you need a spoon. The works consists of: ground onions, mustards and pickles. As you can see there is ketchup, but only a year ago that would not have been there. It is a controversial topic in town.
Then we were off to the Iowa Veterans home for a kite flying adventure. It was a perfect day for the flying kites. However, we learned that 2 year olds don't appreciate and get into kite flying as much as their parents-maybe next year! We only have one more thing on our list-the waterpark!
