Our stockings are hung by the, er,fake 80's window

Not really sure why that window is there, but it must be an 80's thing.  Enjoy the decorations.

Baking Cookies

We had the best time baking cookies the other day. Riley loved it

and got a little upset when I put the cookies in the oven. Of

course, once we took the cookies out of the oven and she got to sample

them she was very happy!

The horrible no good school pictures.

These pictures could be worse, but they aren't the best.  Riley

had a mouth full of granola bar, refused to cooperate, spit on her

shirt and started crying,  Not to mention all of the spots from

her mosquito bites.  And that hair! What are we going to do with

that hair?  Thankfully we did discover some spray that helps tame

it and it is really starting to grow and get out of that awkward stage.

My Daddy and Me

Mommy left for her trip on Wednesday evening, so I'm kicking it with my Daddy for a few days. I love spending time with my Daddy. He took me with him to get something to eat and the next thing I know I up in the bed and Daddy said it was time for school. Oh goody, I love going to see Ms. Angie. Daddy is taking a shower while I add to my blog. I have my morning sippy cup with my favorite beverage and I just got back from letting that pesky Dobie outside. Here comes Daddy, time to go......more later......

AH MAN! Ms. Angie wasn't there but there was a lady named Mary Ann there, of course I had a breakdown when Daddy left me as I wasn't familiar with this lady, where was my Ms. Angie? It turned out Ms. Mary Ann was a nice lady and she let me go down the slide as much as I wanted which was ALOT. I was so happy when Daddy came to pick me up and the air conditioned air felt good on my sweaty head from the 3800 trips I took down the slide. Then it was off to Grandmother's house for lunch and to play with the cats. After lunch we went to Uncle Tim's to make faces at the goats. They are some SILLY goats. After I got my goat fix outta the way it was off to Wally World. I feel asleep on the way home and had a great (yawn) nap which I just woke up from and wanted to add to my blog before I forgot how much fun I had with Daddy today. I miss Mommy, I hope she is having fun. Grrrr! Oh!! that is my tummy, got to find some food and pop in the Dora (yea) DVD. More manana

Creative Discovery Museum

Creative Discovery Museum
Chattanooga, Tennessee
October 3, 2003

We took Riley to the museum yesterday. It was a blast. I think Scott was a little bored, but just seeing her have such a great time was entertaining for me. She loved getting to splash in the water and pour the water from cup to cup. She even took a sip once at the end. I think she might have been a little thirsty because I was. I drank 5 glasses of water in about 5 minutes after we left.

Thankfully we took a change of clothes for her because she was SOAKED! Unfortunately we did not take dry socks or shoes. Next time we are taking her rain boots for her to wear while she plays in the water.

She wouldn't get into the sandbox. She just hung over the side and played. It is probably for the best though because she would have had a lot of sand in her clothes that would have gotten wet.

There was a giant slide there that I made her go down with me. She didn't want to but ended up saying "Wee!" When we got to the bottom. It must have gotten her over her slide fear because when I picked her up today her teacher said that she went down the slide about a 100 times today. Then when we got home she pulled out her little slide and climbed up it alone and went down. She must have done that 100 times as well. Yea!

On the way out we bought her a souvenier shirt. It has a monkey head on the front with the words "heads..." and the back has a monkey tail and reads "...tails." She loves it and refuses to take it off. She wore it home from the museum last night, insisted on putting it right back on after her bath and then refused to take it off this morning to go to school.
