Christmas programs

Lane recently had his Christmas program at his preschool. We also saw santa and got some pictures of Raegan to keep her from screaming Lanes name while he was singing. although my pictures are no where near as funny as Erika's I hope you will enjoy.

sticking it to the man.

Every year Rich and I send out Christmas cards. And every year I hate it. I feel like its not christmas if I dont do it. You know like how you have to buy santa claus paper to wrap the things santa brought. Or how you have to put oranges in the bottom of the stocking to make up for the extra space. Or how you have to make christmas casserole the night before so its perfect the morning of. All the little things you do, that you hate doing every year but you feel like if you dont youre not being a good "santa-mom" Well this year I took alittle victory of my own.
Instead of the usual fretting over getting the picture JUST RIGHT, (aka everyone looking, smiling, being "hands quiet" as rich calls it, making sure rich's double chin doesn't show, making sure my love handles are tucked in (kidding, i don't have thoes!) and no one is picking their nose. I decided to chose this grainy, frankly terrible picture (Rich's eyes aren't even open) to send out to all of our family and friends. It is my way of sticking it to the man. I think I am on a roll. I might not even use Santa paper this year. take that MAN.

Old Sun....get it?

OH! all you haters are going to hate this post. But you know what? I dont really care. I am here to say that I loved New Moon. although I have to say I feel slightly pedephile-ish lusting after Taylor Lautner with his shirt off. I am like ten years older than him. He was born in the NINETIES people, think about that. You feel sick too dont you? its ok. You can see the truth, just like I did. And admire him for his talent. No matter how little.
It was a super fun night! thanks girls! and thank you Cari for posting this pic so i could steal it from you. out.

Huge super-long post

LONG TIME no post!! Rich and I are the proud owners of a new computer. and I am so excited to start blogging again. Because we all know that it is really my first priority. Dinner? no Laundary? no change diapers? no but blogging? now thats important. so now that i have my sense of purpose back, I hope you enjoy my boring family pictures.

Happy 6th Birthday Clay! Clay had his first friend birthday the first week in October and I have to say that was tough. Clay and four of his friends went to Leo's place for Pizza and games and I am so glad that Birthdays are once a year otherwise, I would be dead. He LOVED it and still talks about it two months later.

We took alittle family trip to Utah to visit Scott and Kristen and for Rich to go to the priesthood session of conference. It was so cool. I like going to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point. It is seriously one of my kids favorite places to go. Notice this random kid running through our picture. He looks vaguely familiar whoever his mom his she needs to teach him some manners.

Isnt she getting sooo big! Me and my girl have so much fun together.

My baby turned two!! so bittersweet! we were lucky to be in Boise for my brother Nicks wedding. It was so fun to get to celebrate with Nannie and Poppa. Raegan got a doll house and some dress up clothes. i have to say I think its much more fun to shop for girls.

OHH! The first day of school. It was sooo hard for me! I never would have thought that this day would be so hard. I cried all day! You hate to think of your sweet baby leaving you all day like that. I was so afraid that someone was going to be mean to him! He had a fun day though. Up until the school had a mix up and told him to walk home. He was so upset when he came home. He kept telling me that no one would listen to him when he told them that he rode a bus. it was a stressful day. good thing he looked so cute.

Huge blog coming soon.

Just thought I would share the funniest SNL video I have seen in a while.

San Fransisco

Rich and I had a recent visit to San Fransisco. As you can see Rich decided to join in with the gender crisis that often acompanies the locals. It was so much fun. Tons of shopping and nice resturants. We actually ate dinner one table away from James Hedfield (metallica) and I ran on the hotel treadmill next to Rumer Willis (as in Bruce and Demi.) We also saw loads of homeless people getting arrested and I was solicited by a prostitute. I almost felt complimented (hey i will take what i can get) and then i realized how sick that was.

We took a ferry around Alcatraz Island and spent some time on Pier 29 it was so fun.

Couldnt resist a shot of the golden gate bridge. It was an awesome trip and we can't wait to go back next year.

Hagseum of Idaho

Rich and I thought it would be a fun family night to go to the museum of Idaho. It was the Titanic exhibit. So, i hyped the kids up all day telling them about this huge ship that sunk in the ocean, (i left out Rose and Jack though, i didnt want him to cry as hard as i did when i first saw their story.) He and Lane were genuinely excited to see things that had been brought up from the ocean. I diligently check the hours, open till eight, we were in the clear. Rich gets home, showers does his thing. I load the kids pack camera fruit snacks, stroller etc. load kids. drive 12 minutes or so to Idaho Falls. We park in front of the building. being the process of unloading the kiddies, putting on jackets getting out stroller, convincing Lane that he doesnt need to take toys in with him. blah blah... all the while this museum worker lady is smiling politely watching us like 3 feet away from the door as we crawl our way to the doors I glance at the time, note its 7:02 awesome time. She then (all while smiling) says im sorry we are no longer selling tickets. The total exhibit takes an hour to walk through. I said are you kidding? and she (all while smiling) said no. I gently reminded her that my children cant read and have an attention span of the length of the average commercial and we will be through in 45 minutes tops. she ignores me, asks me if I am from Idaho falls and i said no. thinking this would sway her and let us in. she smiles (surprizingly) and says oh well take a brochure then. Im like, oh thanks yeah this has the hours on it. and yep it says your open till eight... yep hagseum of Idaho. so we ended up at Walmart who is ALWAYS open. and bought Bolt to try to stop the weeping wailing and gnashing of teeth that was going on from not seeing the sucken ship parts. note: lane sneaking off in the back of the picture. it took me two minutes to find him. I peed alittle i was so scared. Luckily we found him next to the plungers he was using it like a sword.

new and improved

As most of you know, I am attempting a half marathon in August. I say attempting because I had no idea how grueling it would be. I am up to three miles a day (thank you thank you very much, beause in my mind you are applauding me.) The reason I am telling you this is because before this running stint. it had been about 6 years and three kids ago that i had bought a sports bra. with time aging the fabric and our bodies changing the way they do, i started jogging and noticed this man at the gym (yes they allow beer there.) with this expression. I hadnt thought of my bountious bossom until i saw his face. poor man, it was like a car wreck. You are sickened yet, oldly facinated. needless to say i have since bought a new sturdier one and now he just shows up with his beer and goes back to his hunting channel.

running?

yep, guess whos training for it. well, probably only the half but still. Thoes of you who know me well know that my favorite thing does not include running. It usually includes a fork and sometimes a spoon. Which is why I have to run this thing in the first place. any suggestions to building up endurance would be helpfull. I've only got six months. So, who wants to run with me?

photo tag

Sorry this post isnt very exciting. I have had soo many polite, and some not so polite requests to remove the picture of "fluffy" from my blog so I thought I would respond to The tag charm made forever ago to post the sixth picture from the sixth folder in my picture file so here it is. its not a very good picture but at least I will stop getting yelled at for having that sick picture on my blog so long. This was my friend Bridgetts wedding.

New Cat/dog/rat

OHH finally. Rich and I have agreed on a pet! We recently found this cute little guy/girl (we cant really tell whats between the legs..) eating out of our garbage. Rich always complained about the cost of buying/getting shots for a pure bred breed of animal. This one was absolutely free! and it looks like it might already have a few diseases but the upswing is hey, it might be immune to some of the more serious ones. I mean it looks like its going to make it through. notice I didnt say "cat" or "dog" or even "huge sewer rat" because to be honest we arent really sure what it is yet. It seems to eat just about everything including dirty diapers and even its own feet sometimes. Rich gags when he sees it doing that but I just say, "hey its saves us having to buy cat/dog/rat/ food in these hard economic times. I keep trying to get the kids to play with it but I have noticed them breaking out into a few rashes and clay keeps having nightmares. But i dont think the two are related do you? also HUGE bonus I think it might be pregnant! anyone looking for a pet? Im going to sell them for real cheap. Just be sure to keep them away from your face, This little beauty we have likes to bite and bat at your eyes.

Be sure and let me know if you want one of the kittens/puppies/ratlings they're going to go fast i think!

screw winter

yep. guess you can tell what mood I am in. I was doing my usual 5 mile run this morning. And I passed the most hilarious snow man. Needless to say it pretty much sums up EXACTALLY how I feel about winter. Wanting it to be over is sort of an understatment. At this point I am thinking about holding the weather man hostage. because we all know that he really controlls the weather. dont you just see that little sniveling snow man and laugh? I wish frosty was real so i could punch him in his stupid carrott nose. oh by the way, i dont really run five miles... i run six. ok i just cant post the lie. i cut and pasted this picture. How funny would that be though if you saw this?

AND THE OSCAR GOES TO:

Raegan for throwing up on my face. This is NOT a lie. we were watching the Oscars, by the way best dressed (Natalie Portman) worst dressed (Tilda Swintin isnt it always?) and I was making funny noises and making Raegan laugh when suddenly. she barfed on my face. I was stuck between laughing and crying. I had to keep my mouth clamped shut so i wouldnt taste it. it went down my shirt between my boobs and everything. I dont have a picture, sorry to disapoint. I didnt really think of grabbing my camera with chunks sliding down my face and chest. Good thing shes so cute or she'd be a goner.

exotic utah

So, we took a little family vacay this weekend to Utah. Sounds boring you say? well, good thing i can't punch you through my blog because it wasn't. We stayed with Rich's sister Kristen and her husband Scott. It was such a great kid friendly house. It came with a built in crib and toys which i suspect that Lane might have stolen as we now have a Gordon, and a Lady Train when I know we didnt before. We started out going to the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. the only problem is all the pictures are on my cell phone. Could someone please tell me how to get thoes on my computer? It was a blast none the less. Lane was a little scared of the Dinosaurs Rich says hes a "baby mommas boy." My dad says hes a tumor growing off the side of my body. I say he's an affectionately attached three year old.

Rich then suggested Chucky Cheese which I thought was for the kids but... rich wouldnt stop playing this hunting game. he even got enough tickets to buy one of thoes plastic nail rings. he claims its for the kids except he keeps wearing it.

This one is of Raegan eating her first Pizza. at my house we eat only organic fruits and vegtables but I though why not let her splurge once in a while? (is the sarcasim coming through?, im afraid someone out there is going to think im being serious.)

The boys had a blast play and Lane had a blast hitting other kids.

Some more pics of Raegan being her cute self. she learned how to say CHeese this week because I took so many pictures.

I also went and had lunch with My friends Becky and Mary at the Olive Garden it was so great. I didnt have any kids or anything! why didnt we get a picture guys? It was so good catching up. We also had dinner with Rich's old mission companion Mike and his wife Lindsay. It was so good to see them and so apparent why we like them so much. once again, didnt get a picture so sorry. although I think Mike would appriciate it. since he just had surgery on his neck and his bandage resembled a maxi pad. (sorry mike it did.)

Then we headed to the Live Aquarium in Sandy it was cool. Here is a cute picture of the boys through a fish tank. There was lots of shopping. I still love Thai pan! it was so great to see everyone that we love. sorry all the pictures are out of order. I am to lazy to organize this blog.
