This is the suspension bridge that goes across the river. Notice the white, it's snow.  First time for snow here  the camp ever, from what we heard from the locals.  The water was cold and beautiful, just had to show you.
This is looking down the valley as we left
one morning for our p-day.

The 2400 Year Old Tree

Richard is standing by the large 2400 yr old tree.  We had a group come in and they tore the sign down.
A new sign is being made.
This is the fireplace of one of the lodges called NorthStar.
We have reservations for families starting Saturday.  Spring break is here and the camp will get used
a bit more for awhile.  The rain is pouring down and some of the paths look like little rivers at the moment.

Strange things grow on the wood around here.  Very interesting to look at it.  We have not had
any rain for sometime but the moisture in the area is still very damp.

Up the Coast

We got the binoculars out to see what was on the rocks. The camera zoomed in real well.
These are sea lions suning for the morning they only moved a fin or their nose. They were
thoroughly enjoyin the morning sun. No fog this time of year. It was a beautiful day.

It is along way down to the bottom. Not many people walk on the rocks.
We took a drive up the coast. This is the Ft Bragg Lighthouse. Notice the coast is not your sunbathing sandy coast.

The rains are hard here, at least the first one was. The river below went from a small stream
to a raging chocolate river below.

All the above greenery is gone and looks totally different. The river rose at least 20 feet, bank to bank.
