Lots of ExCitEmeNt!!

Exciting things have happened in our house lately!

**Kyson is potty trained...finally!!**
We worked with him for a while months ago and he just wasn't interested.
So I just kept telling myself to be patient, he'll do it when he's ready.
We tried bribing him with everything you could think of and he just didn't care.
So, one day we were at Cracker Barrel and he saw a remote control car that he wanted.
I bought it, opened it and put it up on a shelf where he could see it but couldn't reach it.
I would get it down every once in a while and take it for a spin then put it back.
He finally got sick of that and decided it was time.
He had a few accidents in the beginning but that only lasted a week or so.
We had him wear a diaper to bed for a couple weeks but i'm happy to say...
NO MORE DIAPERS!!!!!!

**My birthday weekend**
Eric and I celebrated my birthday in Park City.
My mom met us in Evanston and took the kids back to Rock Springs with her while we enjoyed a weekend to ourselves.
We stayed at the Zermatt Resort in Midway.
We ate good food, shopped a lot and enjoyed a day on the mountain at Deer Valley.
It snowed Friday night so Saturday was the perfect day to ski. It was BEAUTIFUL!!!
Be FAR the BEST day I have EVER had skiing!!!!!!

**Happy 1st Birthday to Claire**
I don't know where the last year went but it went by fast!!!!
I remember the day our sweet little girl joined our family like it was yesterday.
She has brought so much joy into our lives that I can't imagine life without her.
We (including Kyson) can't get enough of her.
I absolutely love watching them play and interact with each other and it completely melts my heart when I hear Kyson say "Mom, siser is my Best Friend"

2014 year end

The last few months of 2014 were busy and fun!
Claire is getting to the age where she can start to play with Kyson
and it's the cutest thing.
Now if we can just get Kyson to share, that would be Great!!

Grandma Linda and Kyson settling down for bed

Evelyn and Kyson

We took a road trip to St George after Thanksgiving.
Darwin and Lorraine live there now so it's fun to go see them and explore St George

We decided to do a last minute photo shoot to try and get a family picture for Christmas cards.
Surprisingly, they turned out good even with a 2 year old who was throwing a fit and wouldn't smile!!

Our neighbors put together the 'Polar Express" on the Front Runner and it was SO fun!
The kids loved it!!

I love bare baby bums!

Kyson's FIRST dentist appointment with cleaning.
He did GREAT!!
He was a little unsure in the beginning but Dr Bahr talked him through and there were no problems after that. Except little Mr Independent had to hold the straw himself.

Christmas 2014
Growing up, we always had a real tree that we would cut down ourselves.
I loved that and have always wanted to carry on the tradition.
We were gone after Thanksgiving and didn't have a lot of time to cut down our own so we bought one. But...it's still a real tree and I LOVE it!!!
I love the smell of a fresh tree and also the unique look.

The BEST Santa I have seen in a long time...or ever!
You could feel the magic and I Loved it!!!

Then...Claire was suppose to be napping on a bed at my Mom's.
She apparently didn't want to nap and fell off the bed.
It took almost an hour to calm her down so we knew something was wrong but we weren't sure what.
We went to church and when I tried to stand her up on my lap, she wouldn't put any pressure on her left foot.
My first thought was "Her bones are still so soft and she didn't fall that far, there's no way she broke a bone. Maybe she just sprained her ankle."
So we gave her some pain medication and drove home.
We got home and she was still fussy and not putting pressure on her foot.
We decided to take her to the Insta Care and sure enough, she broke her tibia right above her ankle.
They put a splint on it and told us to get it casted Monday.
We did that and 2 days later (on Christmas Eve) she crawled right out of her cast.
Back the the Insta Care for a splint until we could get back into the doctor the following week.
New cast a week after the first one and so far it's still on.
We'll see if it lasts 3 weeks.

Christmas morning

We FINALLY got some snow on Christmas Day and Kyson couldn't WAIT to go play in it.

This is one of my baby outfits that my mom saved

Sledding with the Kennedys
Kyson wasn't a fan of snow in his face but he had SO much fun!!

And that's a wrap!
2014 was Awesome and I can't wait to see what 2015 has in store!!
