Wing Mountain

We went sledding at Wing Mountain this weekend with the Warrens. We had a blast, the big kids and little kids alike. Here is fearless Micah on one of his slides. He probably could have stayed all day and loved every minute.

Carter usually likes to go down with somebody but decided to get brave and try a solo ride. She looked like she was on the luge, so funny to watch.

Gabby was not happy about going sledding. She complained about her snow suit, her boots, anything she could think of. On the way there she asked if we could go to the swimming pool instead. She wouldn't even smile for the first half we were there. But, a few times down the hill and she was hooked. She didn't want to leave by the end. She said her favorite part was crashing and rolling down the hill.

Happy Birthday to Carter

The big 5-year-old had a fun birthday party yesterday. She wanted a makeover party with a high heel birthday cake. I did my best to deliver but thank goodness 5-year-olds are still easy to please.

Here are all the friends after their amazing makeovers and manicures. Oh, and the little girl next to Carter does have a black eye, I didn't just go crazy with the eyeshadow.

Gabs and Carter had to pose in the party hats Auntie Becky made them.

Carter was excited that she got to go to school today on her actual birthday to share treats with her class (peanut butter cup brownies, her fave) and show her new barbie car for show and tell. Happy 5 years Carter girl!

Way to go Cardinals!

Robert was almost in tears and yes, he did bust out the leprechaun dance...several times.

Big girls don't cry

For Carter's 5th birthday she wanted to get her ears pierced. We went a few weeks early since we were in the valley but she did it! She looked a little nervous before but she didn't cry a single tear. She has been asking to wear lots of ponytails lately so her friends will be sure to notice her sparkling ears.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with my family and kept things low key, but really fun.

We got to share some of our favorite Christmas traditions and memories with some of our favorite people. My Mom's parents were even down from Utah to join the festivities (and enjoy an AZ winter). Gabby now wants to name her new baby brother Grandpa Hunt :)

I wish this picture wasn't blurry, but it's still cute!

The girls posed for a quick family picture in their new jammies before heading off to sleep.

Christmas Dinner with Robert's Family

This cousins group gets bigger every year! They have so much fun together!

The holidays seem so busy some times, it was nice to spend some time eating a delicious meal, playing games, opening gifts, and hanging out with eachother.

Everyone decided to make Raylin into a little present with all the bows stuck to her head!

Gabby really wanted to play with Raylin's toys and talked Jonathan into putting them together for her. We miss you guys already!

The Nutcracker Ballet

We had planned to take Carter to see the Nutcracker this year since she loves the story and had never been to a ballet before. When we went to get tickets though, it was sold out! Thanks to our friend Staci and her Dad (Thank you-Thank you!), we were able to get 4 tickets for Carter, Becky, my Mom and I. It was a lot of fun and Carter has not stopped dancing or humming the songs since.
