I'm Back...

Wow! A lot has happened since 2009.

Here are the highlights...
Madalyn was Baptized July 2011.
Ethan was Baptized September 2012.
I went to nursing school and graduated May 10, 2013.
We had Sawyer May 12, 2013 (Mother's Day).
I passed my boards in July 2013.
I started working at HBMC in Labor & Delivery in September 2013.
Traveled to visit the Douglass Family in Missouri over Spring Break, March 2014
Ryan left his job with Aramark at Baylor and now works for Southern Tire Mart in June 2014.
Bennett Family Reunion in Idabell, OK July 2014.
Madalyn had her 12th Birthday, moved into YW at church and was finally able to go to YW camp July 2014.
I switched to Mother Baby (occassionally I still help L&D) in mid September 2015.

Of course this is not everything that happened, we probably had many other adventures but this is all I can think of for now. Hopefully I can start recording our adventures again a littlr more often.

TILING

We finally tiled our floors in May after living on cement floors for most of our first year in the house. This was a major process that took 3 weekends.

The 1st weekend Ryan and My dad did the Master Bathroom & closet.

The 2nd weekend I helped Ryan and we did the kids bathroom the hallway and part of the dining area.

The 3rd weekend Ryan and I finished the kitchen and laundry room.

It was so nice to finally have all my floors in place. YEAH!!

Kindergarten Graduation

In May Madalyn finished Kindergarten at Hewitt Elem. and had her first Graduation. Madalyn loved her first year in school and made great progress in reading and counting. We were fortunate to have family come and share in Madalyn's graduation. Meme & Papa, Aunt Amy , Mason, Bryson, Jackson, & Teegan (cousins), and Mema & Pepa (great grandparents) were all able to come. They had a little program were they sang several really cute songs. We have video of it but it is way to long for the blog. Here are a few pictures of this exciting day.

TIME! Where has it gone?

Wow, I can't believe I have been away from the blogging world since last spring. I will try and go back to post pictures and stuff just for my own benefit. So bear with me as I play catch up.

Camp Fire at the Ranch (April 24th)

On Friday we went out to the ranch and had a camp fire. AS we drove out to the back pasture we passed all the cows. They were all around the camping area. The kids have always loved to look for cows on the rode while traveling. However when they were right beside the car both kids said they were staying in the car. I told them we needed to bring them out to the country more often. Once we parked and started unloading the car the kids finally decided it was okay to get out. Ryan tried to get the fire started, but it was so windy it took several tries. Once the fire was started I took the kids for a walk around the pond that was near by. They had lots of fun running around the pond trying to catch each other. When it got dark we could hot dogs for dinner. Then we made smores for dessert. We had a great time. We look forward to camping out next time.

Zoo Field Trip

Ethan had a field trip to the zoo on Tuesday April 21st. I was not able to go with him so I don't have any pictures.

On Wednesday April 22nd Madalyn had a zoo field trip. I was able to go on this field trip. I was incharge of Madalyn & another little girl from her class. We made it around half the zoo and then took a break to eat lunch in front of the zoo. After we finished our picnic we headed back into the zoo to see the rest. I had a very nice time being with Madalyn's class. I hope I can continue to go on field trips with my children.

Ethan had a hat parade at his school on wednesday. I made him a hockey hat with a bunny playing hockey with an easter egg as the puck.

Easter Egg Hunt at School (April 9th)

Ethan had an Easter egg hunt in the morning and Madalyn's was in the afternoon. So, I was able to be at both of them.

At Madalyn's egg hunt they numbered all the eggs. Each child had to find a set of numbers 1-6 in order. It was kind of cool because it made it so everyone had the smae amount of eggs and it made the egg hunt last a little longer. It was also her spring party so they played games and had snacks.

Easter Egg Hunt in Bryan ( April 11th)

We went to Bryan on friday for the Easter weekend. We mostly just rested on friday. On Saturday Our old ward had an Egg Hunt and lunch. It was lots of fun seeing our old friends. The kids loved seeing their friends too.

At this egg hunt the kids lined up and one of the adults called a color to find and sometimes multiples . So it mad the egg hunt last a really long time, but everyone should have ended up with the same amount in the end.

Easter Morning (April 12th)

We were still in Bryan at Grandma & Grandpa's house. Emily spent the night with us and the Easter bunny found all three kids.
