A sad night for Americans

As I read that Obama had won the election tonight I felt incredibly sick to my stomach.  I don't think I have ever been this sick over an election. After reading and doing so much research this election it has really affected me I am scared for this Country and for what lies ahead. I am really in SHOCK that Romney didn't win. He truly is the better man for the job. When I told Taylor Obama had won she started crying and saying, "Now we're going to be poor". Poor girl. I think we have let her watch too much news and read to much to them. As I sit here and think I can just say that I am glad that Jesus is the King and in the end that's all that matters. Although I have lots of fears now of what this nation will face and what it will do to families, Now is the time to teach our children faith in what they can create, rather than fear in what the world might create for them. Faith is always more powerful than fear, because faith is light and substance, and fear is a lack of.
I think its time to amp up the food storage!!! I am so sad that Romney didn't win. We now have to pull together more than ever to help keep God in this nation.

4-H Awards Night!! 10/8/12

Last year we enrolled Rylie in 4-H. She didn't join until I think April. Anyway, we worked away in all the projects she chose. She did sewing, cooking, and photography. She made things for the State Fair and got all 1st place ribbons and two 2nd place ribbons. She had to do all the projects in her workbooks also. We didn't realize that photography and sewing could be done in 2 years so we finished the entire books in both and her first year of cooking requirements! She got awards in all 3 areas!! She got a really special award for her photography book. It was called the 30 year award, where someone who has been a leader in 4-H gives an award to one person in a certain category. Rylie got it in photography! It was so fun to hear her name called. We are so proud of her for working so hard. I never knew 4-H could be so much fun! WE LOVE 4-H! We have some great leaders that guided us along too! We are so grateful for them. This year Taylor is finally old enough to join Cloverbuds. She got to go up on stage and say the Pledge of Allegiance. Ryan was being a rebel in the back and doing flips with Camryn.. It was totally quiet and you could hear her squealing with fun. I looked back and Ryan just smiled and pointed at her. He is such a fun Dad. Here are pictures of award night and some of the items she made for the Fair.
