New year...New goals...totally not a NEW blogger!

Confession:  It's true. I am not destined to be an up.to.date. blogger.  It just doesn't happen.  I have ambitions to keep up with it, and I even wanted to make it a NEW YEARS goal....but let's be honest.... Life gets in the way, and all the sudden I am 5 months behind .......but I've decided...It's just the way it is! :) Sometimes life is just too busy and a lot more fun than sitting at a computer!

So I check in on my friends here and there and I update this one when I can!!!
So with that out on the table...
(wow, I actually feel better for confessing that I don't care if this blog is 5 months behind!)
Here we go with September!....

As much as I really LOVE summer,
I love Autumn almost as much....
I think there is a reason it FOLLOWS the greatest season of the year.... We have to be eased in nice and easy to the cold, and for some reason Autumn has a perfect way of doing that ....
I love getting out all the decor ....the perfect colors together, the delish scents to smell,
it is definitely a feeling of warmth, it always makes me think of soups, snuggling up with a good book, watching a romantic movie or making lots of yummy treats.....

Like especially this one....I LOVE carmeled apples.
I found this recipe last year for white chocolate cinnamon carmeled apples....
They're apparently sold at Disneyworld for $8.95 a pop...so I had to try making them (which I did, like 35 of them for my bro's wedding last year) and
Wow.  There is a reason they're that price.  So SO SO incredibly good!

Then of course, there is all the canning and harvesting to do......
Which I love cause I get to hang with my girls!
My mom is like the worlds best canner! She really knows everything about it!

Peach days.....ahhh, the lovely Peach Days of Brigham City.
I guess if ya didn't grow up in Brigham then there isn't much to write home about this event....but for our family. We LOVE this tradition.  We love being a part of it and taking the kids to share in the tradidtions...
We had them all geared up for 2 full days of fun......
They were already looking away from the camera...fabulous start :)

Ohhhhh the food. Let's not discuss how much we LOVE the
peach cobbler!!
And of course the big parade on Saturday morning! 2 hours of sitting on concrete in the hot sun....Sound fun?
Well, it totally is. :)
(I think I love Fall because it is still like 85 degrees in September and you can still eat popsicles!)

And the kids LOVE the carnival....me, not so much.  I see it as a continuing
anxiety attack that one of those rides will totally fall apart while my sweet child is on it.
Not a great thought....but totally true.  I think if it only takes like 4 hours to set up an entire carnival of rides by 20 men that are probably drunk...well you see why the anxiety kicks in.
As much as we love packed weekends like that one...
we LOVE being exhausted from so much fun, comin' home, ordering take out and watchin' a movie
together :)
-Before-

Projects! I LOVE a good project.
And we found this bad boy like Last January...(of 2011) and I had to have it. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it, but once it made it's way into my basement....I became a bit intimidated by it, and it sat there. For a LONG time.  Like till June, when I finally decided to start working on it! So, to the garage it went....

And the painting and glazing process began..... It was in this stage for QUITE a while.
Like 3 months long, when Rex finally told me that I had to give him his parking spot back!
So the end of September....it came out lookin' a bit like this!

-After-

It became our entertainment center!
Now, ..I want to add to the sides...ANY IDEAS?????

We were invited to play city league softball with Rexy's work this year! What a BLAST!!!
The first of the season started off ....alright and by the end, it was ROCKIN'!
We loved it!
Another project!
I've had the idea in my head for Korver's room since we moved in....but i just never put it into action! (maybe because I just couldn't picture a crib in a sports themed bedroom, so when I knew the crib days were coming to an end...we started it......
This kid LOVES sports.
LOVES THEM. He begs us DAILY to:
 throw the football
pass the basketball
Shoot the ball!
Throw the baseball!
So it was only fitting to run with a sports theme....

So, some of you may or may not know...but this SIGNED jersey by Kyle Korver may be some of the reason our child has this name... :) So I framed it and decided to make it the focal point!
I need to add a valance or some window treatment....workin' on that.

I definitely need to add to this wall...I just haven't found the right things yet!

My sweet boy!  oh how I can't wait to watch him start playing sports!

One Sunday in late September we took a drive, and ended up in the middle of Logan canyon exploring!
So, we decided to head back up the next day for FHE and have a picnic! I wished we'd done this sooner in the Summer! The kids had SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!
They became our professional lil' hikers with their hiking sticks!
This may have been my favorite part of September.  Rex texts me one day saying:
R: Can you get a babysitter for Tuesday night?
J: uh, probably...why!? What the heck are we doing on a Tuesday???
R: Just do it.
J: Ok. So, is this a date? Are we going somewhere?  What do I wear?
R. yep.I can't wait to take you. And wear what ya want!

This conversation happened everyday till Tuesday.
 I have a love/hate relationships with surprises.
I asked him everyday to tell me what we were doing and he wouldn't.
Wow, was I SURPISED when we pulled into the Logan airport.
We were taking a  private plane ride to see all of Logan!
I wasn't sure how I felt about this.  I have a slightly weak stomach with motion and I am extremely terrified of planes crashing...and now I was about to board one  that only held 4 people.
Awesome.
Actually, I was stoked....until, the pilot asked Rex if he wanted to drive!

Rex.was.in.heaven.
I on the other hand, was fr-EAK-in' out!
His dream job: A FIGHTER PILOT.

So, here he is, with his head gear on and totally driving the plane....and my stomach was doing a bajillion circles!
I  snapped shots of landmarks around town! I love the one of the Green canyon corn maze!
Then the pilot told Rex to fly us over our house! So he did.
I called my sis, since she watched the kiddos for us, and they came outside and saw us flying over!!
(I was actually pretty impressed with his driving skills!)
But of course, because boys MUST be boys..
they wanted to do some stunts.....so they did a whole bunch of crazy plane tricks and circles and turns which was definitely turning my stomach....
and the pilot says:
Can we do one last cool stunt? I look at rex with pleading eyes to let me off this crazy ride...
and he smiles and says
oh yeahhh, let's do one more! So they took us to zero gravity, where everything is FLOATING in the plane!
Literally, I see my phone floating up in front of my face! It was crazy.
Well since that wasn't a big enough rush, they decided to do ONE MORE, only this time they wanted to hit
1G
well, that was definitely a tummy twister, and I am gripping the only bag in the plane...my CAMERA BAG, (for the just in case moment, that my stomach doesn't handle this!)
And THEN....they decide to go ONE more....and they took us
2G!!!
I was FREAKING out.
How did I let him convince me on this thing???
Well I did. and in the end, it was super fun! Rex had the time of his life, and of course,
NOW.....he really WANTS to be a pilot.
No thanks, honey. Let's  stick to the ground jobs. :)

That following Saturday, Sheena and  Klint invited us again on a dune buggy ride up Millville canyon. We did this last year and had a ton of fun, so of course we were ON BOARD with them!
Klint makes his FAMOUS hot cocoa and we take a trek up the gorgeous mountainside looking at all the pretty fall  leaves!! (p.s. it's super hard taking pics while traveling a bumpy road)

And then, we stopped off to do some shooting.  I just LOVE the pic of Sheena and her cute prego belly, while holding a gun!  She makes that look good! :)
Thanks again K & S! We always have a blast on this day!
It's the perfect ending to September!
