Reawakened Yet Again... with a New song

The Forest of Grief
Vocals: Ayane

In the deep forest of grief, the cicadas cry…

That day was a very sunny day, but I breathed in a cold wind
Time, in just a tiny instant, stopped its needle

one-way, that cannot return twice.
A lost child looks for a bright place.

People who change and people who desire so
Let me pass, and you come here

Someone cried; where is that sound? Please try peeking quietly, quietly
Good night, good children sleep and the awake children project hands
Is the pale moonlight from one tree? If you hear a lullaby on this path
Then the festival will start and the flames will vanish again; in the deep forest of grief, the cicadas cry…

Fearing those who are kind, and them giving screams
I wanted to cut away my hair and I closed my eyes

one-way, that cannot return twice.
A lost child looks for a bright place.

Whose name does your eyes that dye red call for?
Let me pass; it’ll be fun

The abandoned shadow casted on the shrine; surely, surely, that child doesn’t exist anymore
The day also has a sunset face of a demon, and with a childish smile, I wriggled my wings
If you cry about not having a face, not having a face on your figure reflected in the opposing mirror
Then the festival will start and the flames will vanish again; in the deep forest of grief, the cicadas cry…

Blog Reactivated

Haha! I'm Back to my old crib! After blog hopping for so long, it feels so nostalgic.

To wipe the dust off, I' ll start by saying WHY IN THE WORLD IS THE BIG A's SO NEAR!

Would continue on but I'd just slam something on the blog for kicks! It is a hint to my new layout planned after the A-lvls!

This one is for all those who are taking the A's this year!

Effort Elasticity of Results

Effort Elasticity of Results

Theory of Effort Elasticity of Results

We sometimes just suck at things so our results may be less than proportionate to the efforts we put in. I always analogise to having a low effort elasticity of results. It takes a larger than proportionate increase in effort to cause an increase in results.

Assumptions:

1. At zero effort, we still get some results — not zero. This varies according to your intelligence.
2. As effort increases, results increases. This may not be true for some people, for results can fall even with additional effort put in.
3. Ceteris paribus condition is held true. For instance, the difficulty of the exam paper, the quality of the effort spent mugging.
4. Assuming short-run mugging spree condition.

So for different subjects, students have different effort elasticity of results. This is represented by the slop of the results curve.

Some people has a very high effort elasticity of results for economics — an increase in effort results (no pun intended) in a more than proportionate increase in results. Therefore they are said to have effort elastic results. But it is first prudent to examine the determinants of effort elasticity of results.

Determinants:

1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ). Smarter people generally have a more effort elastic results.

2. Academic foundation. Similar to IQ, but just how much you have mugged in the long-run also affect your effort elasticity of results.

3. Spare capacity of your brain. Similar to IQ. Some brains cannot respond quickly to a change in effort because they are already working at full capacity. LOL?

4. Time period of mugging. Some subject requires more time to prepare. Eg. Maths and Chemistry. Econs and bio just mug one day before the test and vomit everything out. Supposedly.

Yea so it all boils down to IQ.

Hatred

I hate today....

Just now, I was trying to fix this blog as the pics couldn't work.... now look at it....

GAH! Stupid file-den account!

Feb 23, 2009

While it lasted....

.... Best month....Best month....

We started this month with a capital BOOM! ... Orientation was SW-EEET! At first sight, the freshmen scared me stiff.. cause they themselves looked and acted stiff. I whispered to myself, 'We are going to have a Long ....long year in SR...." When they came to my side of tour (inner space- Will Run, Nike Human Race', I was quite depressed to see them like that,....and although when I try to inspire life into them, only a few would truly give thought to it....This really put me over the edge, but I gave them another chance. During the Games ori.....

They were impressively ENTHU!!! Shockingly, but ENTHU! MUCH MORE than US in our orientation. That definitely caught me off guard cause I still was in doubt.... Will add more later.

Then on Feb 19, was Lit nite/ Afterglow! It was one of the best performances I have watched( even compared to a play by adults!) So many familiar faces got together to put up a wonderful show! Onli prob is that that day, most of the audience were the'Genuine Science' kind of peeps....so I don't think they got the scheme or jargon of the play ( VE....its a lovely language) Ah well, at least the Lit students on the next day got it! :) Oh ya,... met some part of the 18th SC, they enjoyed themselves too.... got to know them a little better...

Ok, time 2 GO! Must have some well-deserved sleep for Tml.... and to wake up to a NAFTA that I'm going to fail!...Lousy 'push forward'y admin!!!

The calm before the Storm....

Ah, finally, some R n R.... too bad its not going to last.

I just done whatever I can to ensure that the OGLs are going to put up their best show on wk2 of orientation... Pulled a few strings to ensure that a general meeting for all the houses is created and its all according to plan. The things I do to help.

Nvm, I need to work under the guise of the EC for now. So that they will, at least, seem to have the foresight to lead the Leaders... It is very interesting how a little influence in each house makes the matter a whole lot easier to pull off. >:)

As for the homework, teachers, cut me some slack!!! I wished I could create time to do it! I've got too little a time to work them out! I'm doing it as I blog!.... I'm a perfectionist who struggles to ensure that EVERY QN is done. But, there's just too little time to do that....

Nvm,.... eyes on the prize...

Afraid of the Dark?....

I'm back with a little inspiration to share....

Realise that people get wilder at night than they are in the day. Few reasons to explain that:

1) Your biological clock is screaming for you to get with the programme and sleep!

2) The amount of alcohol you drink is enough to tranquilize an elephant

3) Emotions you never knew start streaming out of you... as well as your horniness.

4) You've been on a gambling high for hours and you can't stop...even abt to bet the undergarments you're wearing to repay a debt.

5) You're afraid of the dark.... and have insomnia...( You're just very suey!)

As you can tell from the complete RANDOMNESS of the post, I'm back at home enjoying my hols (how ever short it may be!). Ermmm no I'm not drunk, drugged or anything like that. I'm just happy I'm in my sanctuary and in my element.

And oh yeah,.... look at the time this post is posted! :)
