Let ther be HEAT
It seems that after 31 years of service, our furnace refused to light. A few weeks ago, I went down to light the pilot and it would not light. We had someone coma and give us a bid for a new furnace and also putting in central air. It was more that I wanted, but need to do something. Mom came home and had found out that RC Willey does furnaces and ac units. We had them come and give us a bid and it was about $1,000.00 lest than the other bid and I felt better about the price. So last week, we had them put in a 95% efficient furnace (we will also get some rebates on it tOO). We also had them run the ductwork into the new addition so it will heat and cool better. It has been nice so far. I am sure it will also be nicer in the summer.

For the birds
The male kestrel died on Saturday. The vet does not know why they both got sick at the same time. The meds we gave them did not help. Mom is really sad.
On Saterday, we went trapping for new birds. We saw a few, but did not catch any. We only had one come down, but it did not get on the trap. We will go out again this week.

Getting better, but not done
I have been going to the physical therapist for my hand. She only makes it HURT for two days. I didn't think it was doing me any good. I talked to my doctor and he said if it is not helping, quit going, but don't forget to exercise it. I have some hand exercises I do three time a day. My fingers are still stiff and sore, but I am hoping that little by little they will get better. It really is a PAIN in more ways than one.
Yesterday I took Ohana out hunting. She did pretty good, but she is out of shape. We saw a few rabbits and she went after most of them. I am looking forward to a good hunting season with her.
Mom's female kestral died on Thursday. We were treating it with meds from the vet, but it did not get well. We think the male may be going down hill as well. We went trapping for a new bird on Saturday, but did not get anything. We will go out again this week.
Mom's toe is still sore, but getting better. She is able to put her shoe on sometime. It will still take some time for it to heal.
We just got back from Windover. Mom wanted to get away because I had a couple of days off. We played a little blackjack and then mom went and played some slots. You may want to know if we won anything, well, NO. Do you ever win? It is just entertainment. Last time, I won $10.oo, but I am sure mom spent more than that at the slots.
Keep in touch.

Dem Bones
Mom and I are both recovering from our broken bones. I got to take my brace off, but have to go to hand therapy for 4 weeks. My therapist is having me do home exercises 3 times a day. Yesterday, I was really sore when I got home. My hand is improving, but my middle and ring finger are still stiff. It is a little discouraging that I can't do some things. It gets in the way at work most of the time. I am typing better now, but sometimes my fingers don't want to work. I am not very patient on becoming healed. My bone has healed, but my hand has problems. It was kind of the same way with my leg. Work is busy, but I am enjoying it. I just put in a new lab at Whittier. I got 32 20" iMac duel core duo flat screen computers. It is impressive to look at and WOW what a machine! Mom came over and said, "is this what you want?" How could she tell
Mom's toe is doing better. She is still taping her toe to make it feel better. She is still wearing her sandal because her shoe still hearts her food. Work is going well, but has it's challenges. Mom has her spider and web up. The kids walk on the other side of the street. She also has her graveyard up and ghosts in the tree.
