Brayden turned 5 years old this week. A whole hand! I can't believe it. We went for a new birthday theme this year...pirates! The boys really like the show on Disney Channel called, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, so we went with it. As always, I think I had the most fun decorating and preparing for the party.
I LOVE celebrating my children's birthdays. It brings me such joy to make their day so special:)
For his birthday cake I made a treasure chest.
Greg of course gave me a hard time saying it was a football or a clam throwing up:) Aaaarrrrr! Boy was he lucky I didn't make him walk the plank!!!
And everyone came dressed as a pirate...
I kept trying to have a pirate accent with the kids, but for some reason by the end of my sentence I sounded like I was from Australia and needing to put some shrimp on the barbie...
My favorite quote from Brayden's big day was when he woke up in the morning he came rushing into my room announcing in his normal voice level that shakes the walls,
"Mom, Mom, it's my birthday. I'm 5 now. But shouldn't I be taller?"
