Vacation Part #4

The finale...it's finally here!!!

Day #4 we headed to the zoo to finish out our last day on vacation. It was a bit interesting, everyone was getting tired from the busy vacation and it was hot, but we pressed through and had a great time...AND we didn't lose a child:)

We started off with Greg facing a fear...he touched a shark. It might have been a baby shark, but it was a shark one the less and I was so proud.

Then we headed to the dolphin show. It was pretty good, besides Brayden crying beside me the whole time because he wanted to go(if you know him well, you are not surprised by this tid-bit of information). Greg was videotaping the whole show so I had to tame the frustration that was eating at me so I wasn't reminded the next 50 years of how annoyed I was...

Jett was pretty excited because one of the dolphins was named, Jett:)

Kyla had a great time:) She kept her hand on this lady's leg the whole time, good thing it was a very nice lady, who was a grandma, and thankfully thought it was cute:)

Then we took a break from seeing the animals...if you would call it that, mostly Jett would just walk up to an animal and say, "wow, it's a _____ ...ok, let's go"...and that was it. Anyway, on our little sabbatical, surprise-surprise, we took a train ride...

This is picture #2 of Bray and I because the first one made me look like I didn't have a shirt on...not so viewer friendly...this is a G blog ya know... however Greg thought the picture was just fine:)

After 4 hours we packed up and headed home. It was so cute because we could tell the kids were getting homesick and missing their toys. As soon as we walked into the house Jett went to his trains, Brayden went on the computer and Kyla ran and sat in her special princess (which has trains on it) chair.

Good times! Good memories! Good to be home:)

Vacation Part #3

The wait is over...Part #3 is here! After a morning of swimming again at the water park we headed to the Children's Museum. You'll notice the bright colors the kids are wearing, it's a must with our kids in public. We were pretty excited about this stop because the boys have really gotten into dinosaurs lately and we knew how in awe they would be of the huge dinosaurs. They even got to dig for dinosaur bones...

Miss Kyla fell asleep on the drive in and was quite surprised by her surroundings when she woke up:)

...and of course Brayden was memorized with the trains... just can't get enough of them...

I mean, what's a trip to the museum without sitting on an alligator...

The museum has a new section until the end of August..."Dora the Explorer". This was actually the main highlight over the dinosaurs and the trains, shocker I know!

Ok, this is funny. Kyla saw Brayden sit on this tiger for a picture. After he left she kept trying to get on so she could have her picture taken...it of course didn't matter who's camera she was smiling at. It was hilarious! If she saw someone come near she would run up to the tiger and say "cheese".

This was a part of the Dora area that they loved to play at the most. Hours of entertainment if we had let them stay that long. Kyla seriously played with that basket for half an hour...

I love the area at the museum where it's a hands on play area. This was fun too. Sadly our trip didn't end so well at the end when as we were walking up to the last floor Brayden ran away from us and we couldn't find him. Of course. What a stink! Needless to say, we left right afterwards...it's all fun and games until a child get's lost...but overall had a great time.

Stay tuned for the final saga of our adventure...

Vacation Part #2

This was probably my favorite part of our trip...minus Kyla not going to bed until almost midnight...not frustrating at all. After seeing Thomas we took the kids to Caribbean Cove Indoor Waterpark. Awesome. The air was warm and the water was like bath water. Nobody got cold, which made the hours much more enjoyable. They had stuff for each of the kids to do and we never got bored. The best part was going down the yellow slide with Brayden, Mr. Fearless:) It went fast and he loved it. We'd get down to the bottom and he'd ask to go again. My legs were burning by the end of the day because of how many times I walked up those stairs, but worth every step. So fun! The next morning we were able to go back for a couple hours before check out which was nice. If you've never gone, I highly suggest it. Great family fun!!!

Stay tuned for part #3...
