M.I.A for good reason

We have finally returned from our Replogle family vacation to Tennessee. We were a little nervous at first to go...vacations haven't gone so well in the past with Jarrett, plus traveling with kids isn't always so relaxing. We left last Friday, stopped to see Aaron and Megan and then went to Cincinnati and spent the night. In the morning we went to the zoo (picture of Greg and Jett looking at this favorite part, the monkeys). Then we were off...to traffic jams. We ran into four traffic jams on the way down to TN, not so much fun. For driving three hours longer than we were supposed too, the boys did a great job. They were a bit fussy towards the end, but heck, I was starting to get a bit fussy myself:) We finally got to Dave and Kathi (Greg's cousin and husband, where we stayed for the week) around 8:30p.m. Andrew, Denise and the boys met us there because we just couldn't drive anymore (picture at the left). It was so great to see everyone and to meet the boys for the first time. Sunday we went to church, went to Denise's baby shower and then spent the evening all hanging out at Dave and Kathi's (picture of Jett and Kathi to the right). Monday was just a relaxing day. On Tuesday we took Jett and the babies to the Hands On Museum. It was so cool, what a great idea for kids. Jett had a blast and would stop for a short time at each site and then would run off to the next thing. Of course the one thing he loved the best was a car that they gutted so kids could jump in and pretend they were driving...Hello...did we not sit in one for hours getting there:) Here's a picture of Jett taking Aunt Dee-Dee for a ride. In the basement they had a tractor and an airplane for kids to sit on, fish, a bank to learn about money, a news station, a grocery store, etc...very cool! On Wednesday we took the boys to Chuck E. Cheeses. Pretty sure I had the most fun out of anybody. Greg got Jett tons of coins to play games, but he was really only interested in the play area, so Mommy stepped in to get us some tickets for prizes. Ski-ball is my favorite. I got so good I could hold Brayden while playing. This is another game that I totally wiped up in (do you see the tickets laying on the ground, oh yeah)! They have this huge play ground inside the for the kids to play on. Jett was such a big boy and climbed all the way to the top (he is usually quite terrified of these). There was a train at the end where kids could climb out onto to look out and while he was attempting to make this adventure, a girl came in and screamed and scared him. He was crying and freaking out so I had to climb all the way up, calm him down and try to get us both down...I found out they really aren't meant for adults. Needless to say, wherever the Replogles go, we are always drawing attention. On Thursday we just got things around and spent a little time with Denise, the boys and Kathi before we left. We stopped half way in Lexinton to see a friend of Greg's for dinner. Then as the boys were ready for bed we left for home. After our experience of getting there, we thought driving through the night would be the best idea. It went great and Greg and I had 6 hours in the car together of quiet and a chance to actually talk. Believe it or not, we ran into more construction on the way home at 12:30a.m...God was working on our patience. Jett also woke up around that time and was in and out of sleep until we got home around 2:30a.m. The next day Greg and I just took turns taking naps all day trying to recover from our vacation. Overall it was such a good vacation, but very hard to leave. Andrew and Denise are moving to Richland,Washington next week and it will probably be a year until we see them again. It's so crazy to think that the next time I see the boys they might be walking and talking. Here are some more great pictures to share...

Who woulda thunk

Brayden turned 5 months yesterday. He is still a great and happy baby, full of smiles and laughter. He starting to try to roll over and sit up. We have him in all the sit up toys and he is enjoying the endless fun. He constantely has an eye on Jett and watches every movement he makes...and Jett never fails at making him giggle. We cut his hair for the first time and low and behold, we have a blond. The picture doesn't show it real well, but no doubt he is a blond. So who would have thought a dark haired couple would have a flamin' red head and a blond.

I'm in love:)

I can't keep up

We are so busy these days, I just can't keep up with the blogs. So where do I begin? I just got finished painting the rest of our house, which is so nice to finally have it done. I can't stand all white rooms so I'm really enjoying all the rooms. The laundry room was so fun to do. We didn't want to move the washer/dryer, so I came up with the striped idea. So being lazy paid off:) The bathroom was fun, but was quite the experience. I was painting with a ladder in the shower and as I was getting down my foot caught on something and I flew off doing a triple sow-cow. "Luckily" the toliet broke my fall and then spun me onto my side. Ouch! Aaron and Megan were in town the following weekend, so we had them help us paint the rest of the rooms. We finished Brayden's room, and I love it. I need to put up some things on the walls, but when it is totally finished I'll show some pictures. Jett has found the wonderful world of band-aids. No cut will ever be the same without them. The kid is constantely hurting himself. I'm embarrassed for him to wear shorts anymore, people probably wonder what goes on at home:)

We had a surprise 60th wedding anniversary for my grandparents. It was so fun to spend the evening with family and to see them so happy. We made a picture dvd of their lives together, it was very sweet.

I bet you don't see a 5020 tractor driving in a subdivison very often. My parents came over for dinner the other day and my dad brought the tractor so he could take Jett for a drive.

I'm been watching Adelyn for the past two weeks on and off while Darcy finished up at her job. It has been so fun, but quite the challenge to juggle three schedules. The second day I will remember quite well for a long time to come. I was feeding Adie and my mom showed up (only because I know the Lord sent her to my house at that time) and all of sudden Adie just let the flood gates blow...all over my lap. I had a puddle of poo in my lap and no way to move. So luckily my mom was there to help. Jett has been very cute with her and always wants to show her his toys and when she is laying on the floor, he always gets down and kisses her head and says, "hi Adie."

Brayden is now 4 months old and is precious as always. He had his check up this week and we learned that his heart isn't as normal as we thought. I guess between the two major valves there is not supposed to be a space but his does. In the womb there is a space, but once they are born it is supposed to close and his has not done that yet. So we are meeting with the doctor next week to get some more information and see where we need to go from there. We have faith that everything will work out, I'm just a little emotional about it. If we had gotten the news when I was prepared, it would have been a little better. But we thought everything was fine and then we were a bit blindsided. So we could use your prayers. More updates when they come our way.

Well, I think that's it for now. Until next time...

An amazing day with Daddy!

Last Saturday, Jett, was in toddler old heaven. Greg took him to the Goshen Air Show. He was in complete awe. The airplanes would zoom by and before they could get around again, Jett was already saying, "more airplanes, more airplanes." Here are some great pictures that Greg took of the day.
