Alive once in a while…

Hi to those who still come to here once in a while It was nearly 5 months since last post…

For this past 5 months, which are almost the exact duration of one whole sem over here, life is actually quite boringggg and like the old saying, the hell routine of study life keep going on…

So basically what happened throughout this year were went to class, hospital, returned to hostel, prepared for next day class, bla bla bla… plus the routine of attending table tennis training with uni team at least twice a week with some tournaments in between once in a while… plus occasionally some little outings and meal time…

Like that lor… what else I should expect. Hey, it’s medicine, though somehow, sometime, I wish it should be a little bit much more interesting or so-called, happening… But in fact, being in a country with a totally different language, I have to say that language-barrier is actually a huge obstacle in enabling all those foreigners from non-russian speaking countries to involve profoundly in most of the Russian’s events over here…

But then, not really nothing gempak happened also at the same time. World Cup is on-going now and the matches are getting more and more exciting. Then, Spain won and now in quarter finals right, make me ter-remembered I actually travelled to Spain during last winter holidays at the end of January. It was another good trip, of course as usual get to step on their tourist spots, and also you know, Spain, is a country fancy of football, and I had the opportunity to witness Nou Camp and Santiago Bernabeau. And I also watched an Atletico Madrid’s La Liga match during my stay in Spain, with the trip ended up with a short 2-day stay in London when we were transiting over there. and man, as usual, London is a city full of lives! Okay, I shall do at least one or few simple posts bout the trip later. See, I always feel fascinating when reading others’ blogs writing on their various travel experience, but when i actually have my own experience, I am lack of initiative to make something out of it

We actually just finished our theoretical exams for this sem yesterday. It was a huge relieve and finally we can at least follow World Cup without any external worries till the finalPeace Sign

But then, there is something new in our academic system this year. The university has implanted a new programme, so-called summer practical session which are going to take our precious 1 month and eventually our summer holidays is cut off from 2 months to 1 month now. ishh.. The plan is like we need to go to on duty for at least half day everyday, then there will be practical exams in the end. What to do… just hope it is great and educating. but I feel very depressed whenever I think that my time to be in Malaysia for this coming holidays will be less than 4 weeks only…

Peeping 2009

First of all, happy new year! It is just the 3rd day, still a long way to go…

Memories are everlasting, especially the great ones… so, I thought of making the first post in this very first month of another decade by browsing through briefly major occasions in my life of 2009… and I guess it can also be a good summarized journal for me to recall later on what fantastic things I had gone through, with the fact that I rarely blogged last year…

Ok, when people peep from far, they only see few but big things… and the same is applied here…

First one: Europe trip in the end of January. Traveling has been one of the main activities since I’m abroad… and the trip during last winter break was a great one too…

Paris, yea, description is needless…

Brussels, city glamour for its square, waffles and chocolates…

Amsterdam, an interesting city, it’s a heaven during daytime with lovely scenery and people; but turns into a hell at night with red light district, sex museum, marijuana…

Kinderdjik, Rotterdam, a peaceful town of windmills…

Berlin, where Berlin Wall used to be here…

Summer holidays in Malaysia during July and August: These 2 months were always the best period of the year for the last 3 years. Not forgotten, during last holidays, I travelled to Bangkok, went for Man Utd Asia Tour with great time in KL, had several met up with buddies here and there, visited some relatives, and even just stay at home with families was something precious.

Bangkok, a fun city, with Thai-style food, open and night markets, temples, palace and floating market…

Malaysian Intervarsity Games 2009, 24-26 April (Volgames 2009): I think this is my most satisfactory experience in 2009. This time, our uni was the host and we all had put lots of effort in planning and organization to make it a blast, and also trained very hard to emerge as overall champions … Personally, I had a huge pressure on shoulders to lead the table tennis team in order to sweep both gold medals in men and women team events… Fortunately, we managed to win both ,and the final match for our men’s team was a tense, exciting and memorable one as the match was very tight and we were playing with a huge and loud crowd of supporters… Eventually, our uni actually conquered this Volgames by winning 12 Gold medals out of a total of 25.

Overall, I have to say that medical student’s life over here is actually getting more and more lifeless with time goes on… yet I am very grateful for the opportunities to come across all these occasions which really made impacts in building memories of mine.

Wish that 2010 will be good too, preferably a better one:)

Outdated Update

Checked into this site today after a really long time, and it looks pathetic with the last post is something quite some time ago :(

I’ve actually been back to Russia for 4th academic year since..err.. about 3 and half months ago… and so-called clinical years over here is still not that ‘clinical’ yet also during this semester… and now another winter has taken over the rule. Still, though snow looks good yet extreme winter has no fun, plus this time the situation is worsened by difficulty to get public transport when classes finish late in the evening and then have to stuck in severe traffic congestion before finally reach the hostel…

Well, nowadays, school days are tense but human relationship is kinda getting loosened… and somehow the involvement of people in extra-curricular activities and programs are just for the sake of completing the parts of jobs that have been ordered and that’s it… Anyway, so far this semester has been filled with interesting learning sessions and some other meaningful activities especially with the sudden activation of Malaysian Student Association here in programs planning and conduction.

Recently, watched 2 good movies which could really touch our souls, entitled “My Sister’s Keeper” and “The Blind Side”. When life is hard, you have to endure it with patience and positivity; when life is good, you have to appreciate and treasure it… if not, what else better can people who still want to live on do right.

p/s: I have changed my phone number over here. The main and only reason for this is because I lost my previous simcard while in Malaysia…hahaha… so new number now is +79199819123. Those who want to save it just feel free to do so.

Towards the End...

Time indicates it’s another brand new day, but this is the last day of my holidays at home for this year…

My flight back will be in the morning of 28 Aug =''

Next year onwards our summer holidays will be cut short to only 1 month due to the enforcement of new summer practical session, which we have been lamenting and objecting all this long yet the stupid uni insists to implement it… Therefore, this time is the last holidays that longs for 2 months… and I actually truly appreciate it…

There is a small hill of stuff to be fit into the large luggage, yet reluctance keeps flooding my mind… argh…

No matter how much hassles in it, One Malaysia, and it is really the only one best place…

Goodbye holidays, Goodbye home, Goodbye Malaysia! Hopefully I will be back in one piece too next year =p

One thing in Mind

Damn... since i came back from KL, there is one thing keep wandering in my mind...

It is the ikan bakar from a stall called Portuguese Grill at Oasis food court of Mid Valley...

I have eaten so many kinds of food since i come back home...but somehow this dish leaves deepest impact in me…

That day KP recommended us to have this when at Mid Valley, and ended up we ate till so suang… Ikan bakar, sotong bakar, lala bakar, kanasai, so damn nice…

By the way, I didn’t take any picture of them that day… so I grabbed one picture from google…hehe…

And damn... it's reaching another new month, August...my 2nd and last month in Malaysia each year...
