Stagnated!
Our latest post is like 19 November 2008! We're into the new year for 2 months already but the blog is still living in 2008. Hahax.
Of course that's understandable. We're all aging and moving into different phrases of our lives, adapting to the various places we're at, busy with deadlines after deadlines. Who has the time to blog?
Since i'm the freest(for now), i should do some typing.
I kinda enjoy this period of slacking time. Many people have offered me various kinds of jobs, including one where i just have to clean the house within the month and receive a fat $1300, but i've turned them all down. Hahax. The irony of it when Singapore is experiencing recession and people are losing their jobs. Zzz. Anw. There's a reason behind it. I'll be working my whole life after i graduate from U. This is something like my last break so i should enjoy it. Agree? AGREED!
With this chunk of time came many random thoughts. Let me share one instance. Hahax.
Timecheck: 615pm
I walked briskly to pick my brother up.
Everyone walked past me with the same speed or even faster.
Why are they rushing?
Wait.
Why am i even rushing?
Then, i slowed down.
I recalled the day i was at dhoby gaunt early in the morning.
I took my own sweet time.
I stood at the left side of the escalator, not moving.
Many working adults climbed up, a handful turning back to stare at me with the "what's the problem with you" look.
Gosh, what grumpy faces early in the morning.
Then i realised, the world doesn't wait for you.
I guess that's where the proverb "time and tide waits for no man" come from.
Is that even a proverb?
And so, everyone keeps moving on and on and on and on and on...
But do they know why they are rushing?
Do they know where they are heading?
I thank God i've time to slow down and think.
I thank God i've time to look at my surroundings and appreciate His creation.
Ok. That's really random. Maybe they just need to reach office soon or they'll be late. Or maybe they're very hungry so they want to reach home sooner for dinner. Or maybe they just don't like being WOLS. There are so many reasons.
(PS. I really have too much time to be able to think of these.)
Well. I tried to make my life more meaningful as well, besides just slacking. I'm currently volunteering at a childrens' home and at TYA, both requiring me to give tuition to kids. Coincidentally, they are all in P6. Hahax. And i think it's a joy to serve the community. Beginning, the commitment seemed like a chore. Slowly, i looked forward to meeting them. I'm just happy to be able to serve, to make good use of my time. Hahax. For now, it seems like so. Oh. I've always wanted to go for a mission trip and it's kinda nice to hear that we can go as a cell if one was to come up. It's like in my life must go at least once for experience. Hahax. The usage of english in the last sentence seems so improper. Zzz.
Alright. Putting that aside, the time now is 0110. And i've got church tomorrow. But i can't sleep. Even if i'm in bed early, i toss and turn for about 2-3hours before falling asleep. I'm suffering from serious results jitters. It's like a week before i get my results and such syptoms. Imagine a day before i get results; i think i don't have to sleep the entire night. Zzz. I don't understand why i only get this "disease" for A levels. My PSLE and O levels were quite peaceful. The more i try not to think about it, the more i think about it. Zzz. So exasperating! But i'll find some way to tackle this. Somehow.
I realised i just went blah blah blah, updating your about my quite boring life now. Zzz.
