First Day of School!

This is a crapy picture--wished I'd have taken one outside of him like Karson, but he was already at school. Braden loves school and is excited for second grade. He has Mrs. Cella, who is awesome!

Karson is excited to start Kindergarten. We adjusted the schedule a bit and have him in the afternoon class. He has two other "Carson's" in the class, but he will adjust. It is great to have them both in school.

Brynn and Spencer survived back to school morning at the school. Having to stay with mom for meetings, PTA stuff, and other various school stuff is not fun, but they survived. Here they are all smiles now that they are home and can run and play.

My Addiction

Yes, I admit it! I Love the Olympics!!! It is the greatest athletic event ever to take place. What better that the entire world coming together for competition and fun. Go USA!!!

Bees Game Family Night

We had a successful Bees game this year. So successful, it probably won't be matched again. We sat on the third base line where the visiting team would practice their pitching. This time, my boys came very prepared with their mitts for a foul ball. As you can see, they were waiting ever to anxiously for a ball. And, you can see that our family came away with three balls. A foul ball that Braden got tossed to him by the visiting team pitchers. Another, for Karson, which was tossed to me by the visiting team. I admit that I did ask them(maybe begged them) to give me the next foul ball. Those of you know why--my boys are so competitive that there would be fighting and who knows what if their was only one ball. Or, mom and dad would have to bring the family back for another game and try to get another ball(not happening). So, I am grateful that we managed two balls for my boys. Then, another ball came and we managed to get another one and Kristian was the recipient of that(hope he doesn't break a window with it). It was a very fun game. Smiles all around. Thanks Gma Jan and Brad for getting as much as the family together as possible.

Camping

We actually went camping and slept out the night in the tent. We were late getting going because of the emergency dentist appointment on the blog before. Anyway, it was a great adventure. Karson and Braden caught frogs and salamanders and played with them-Gross. We played lots of games, ate smores-yummy, got a load of wood(how dare we not), and had a warm fire which we love when camping. Because of the crazy afternoon, I forgot the camera and so no pictures are available. We did have some friends come with us last minute and they took a couple of pictures so maybe I will get a couple. As for now, just thought I would share that we went camping this summer because we are not sure we can go again with Tyler's school schedule, work schedule(turnaround), and soccer which now starts on Saturdays. Life is sure busy!

Fake Tooth Forever

On 8-8-08, Braden was doing tricks on the trampoline and happened to hit the bar with his teeth. As you can see, he broke a big portion of his permanent (#8) front tooth. It was very painful as you can see by his tears. I scheduled the dentist who was so nice to see him that afternoon at 2:00. I gave him Tylenol and he fell asleep.

Karson asked if we could pray really hard and have another permanent tooth grow for him. As cute as it was to ask, I had to tell him that you get one permanent tooth and that's it. He was sad for Braden, but I comforted him by telling him that Dentists go to school for a lot of years to help kids when this happens.

I learned many things as the dentist told me this is just the beginning of bills for me as far as his tooth is concerned. However, he could not crown it because he is still growing. The tooth was loose so he gave it a 30-40% chance of dying--hopefully that won't happen. The dentist did fix Braden's tooth with some resin bonding stuff. It looks good, but Braden doesn't like the feel of it. Oh boy, we have an adventure on our hands and it looks like just the beginning for his tooth issues. This is pretty hard for Braden because he absolutely hates the dentist. I'm pretty sure that that will have to change. Those of you who keep looking on this blog will see another picture of him soon with his fixed tooth.

4.0

Yes, my husband is so dang awesome. Not only does he have to juggle a wife with honey do's, four kids and a job, he has added school to his life. He has finished three semesters and is doing awesome. He had his worst semester schedule so far with 9 credits and received a 4.0. YEAH! He is awesome, and I wanted to brag about his efforts.

Brothers Love

Spencer has had a really hard time sleeping lately. He cries a lot. We would shut the door and make him stay in his room so he understands that he cannot come and keep us awake. We found him right next to the door several nights. Also, Braden and Karson have comforted him by letting him sleep with them. Usually one of the boys is on the top bunk, but Spencer must have wanted both on this night. Anyway, Braden and Karson said that they would let him sleep with them because it is quiet. They sure don't like him screaming and crying. I am grateful to wonderful kids.
