Karson got glasses

Karson is slightly farsighted. His little eyes work hard when he reads. He has glasses for reading and school purposes only. He picked them out himself and they look great! He likes them and he said it already helps him.

Bowling

Here is the bowling crew. It was last Friday and my boys were complaining that Brynn got to go to Discovery Gateway with cousin McKenzie and they didn't get to go anywhere. Well, the school gave out these cool free one game of bowling tickets. I took my boys, and two of my neighbors bowling. Afterwards, I bought pizza. It was very exciting and fun.
Karson did awesome!

This is when the awesome lighting was on!
Braden got the best score!

Spencer pushing his ball down with the guiding tool.

He can barely see over that thing.

We all enjoyed our time and there was no more complaining!

Baseball season

As much work as it is going to the ball park four night a week. I love to see my boys having fun and playing hard. They are both very talented and each is the best player on their team. (That's mom's opinion, but I bet others would say it also). Anyway, it is fun to see them excel and succeed.

Karson is on T-ball. He is here hitting the ball. He not only can hit the best, but can field the best. I wish some of his teammates would stop playing in the dirt, or chasing butterflies and pay attention. Karson got the ball at shortstop, threw it to first base and it hit the first baseman off of one bounce because he wasn't paying attention. Maybe that will teach him.
All smiles

Braden is here playing third base.

Braden is a dead eye! He can pretty much hit the first pitch every time. He loves to play ball, and he gets really frustrated at the girls on his team who don't know how to hit, field, catch, and more. Next year he will play machine pitch which will challenge him a bit more. But, right now, it is fun to see him do so well.

Another Karson Accident

While we were at the ranch (same time as the canoe rides), we went four-wheeling. Well, it was the last ride of the night, and we decided to go up to the rock quarry and see the progress. We were on our way. Braden and Karson riding their own wheelers and we following slowly behind. I don't know what it is about the competition thing, but it is ingrained into both my boys personality. They are competitive and think they have to race all the time. Braden said they were racing, and Karson said they weren't. Anyway, on to details.

Tyler and I were riding very slowly with the two kids in front of each of us. We were stopped and all the sudden Tyler took off like a dart. I followed suit. Spencer was gripping his hands so tight. I sure he was a little bit scared. Karson was holding his neck, and crying. Yes, he ran his wheeler off the road and into a barbed wire fence. He would have ditched it had there not been a fence. We took the helmet off and he had a scratch across his neck. Not just a little scratch, but one across the entire neck. Had it been deeper, he could have bled to death, or sliced through all the important parts that you need. He also got 4-5 scratches on his shoulder and upper arm. It looked like a big animal clawed his arm/shoulder.

I took Karson to family on the ranch who doctored him up. It is nice that the ranch is well equipped with medical personnel. Sue, who happens to be a nurse, helped with getting him all doctored up. Another big help was Alysha, (the wife of a cop), who was well equipped with many materials and great stuff to make scratches numb. Needless to say, after some time, Karson was feeling better.

We never made it up the the rock quarry on this ride. Karson's wrecked wheeler is very scratched up, the headlights have been popped out of place, and lost its key--Tyler never could find it. The four wheeler has damage, but that really doesn't matter. What matters, it the fact that my son is okay. He seriously had guardian angels watching over him. He has a mission to fulfill, and it's not done yet. We love him, and are glad he is learning from each accident.

Canoe Fun at Ranch

Don't you just love that picture? I was practicing with different settings on my camera and I really like how this turned out. Spencer is drinking Root Beer!

Brynn got her first ride on the blue wheeler by herself. It was scary and short!

A little time away from the hustle and bustle of life at home, and a break from homework for Tyler. We loaded and went to the ranch to shoot, ride wheelers and have a hot dog roast. We went to the spring and were surprised to find a canoe. The kids asked for a ride and so we gave them one. We went on plenty of rides and each of the kids got a chance to row and steer a canoe. They found out that it was harder than it looked. The ranch is such a fun place with many adventures awaiting. We enjoy the peace when we go there.

Braden's Seven Years Old

Braden had a successful Birthday! We went and saw Kung Fu Panda on his birthday. He got to bring Mason. We had cake and family fun that evening. I can't believe that he is growing up so fast. I remember when he was born and was cuddling him during my sleepless days and nights. I love you Braden!
Braden with his three very original cakes!
He did great blowing the candles out!
After trying so hard to talk him out of a new bigger, better (one with kick stand, and hand breaks), bike, we gave in. He loves his new bike, it is slightly too big for him, but he will grow into it and does pretty good at getting on it now.
Playing Hullabaloo. The kids love this game! They play it nearly everyday. Mom even gets to play plenty. I recommend this game to any family that has kids 3-9 or so. I don't know what the box says, but it keeps the kids moving and learning. It is fun!

Field Day at the Elementary

Braden's school field day was a success. Braden, Karson, and Mom got plenty of toys. Mom got toys for Brynn and Spencer. It was my first experience with this kind of event. The kids seemed to enjoy themselves. They toys were cheesy and cheep as always. Enjoy the pictures of the kids playing a couple of games.

Lagoon Fun!

Tyler's work sponsored a "reduced pay" Lagoon Day. It was Saturday May 31st. The kids really had a great time. We rode lots of rides, ate food(provided by the company at one of the Terraces), and had more and more fun after. The kids rode all the rides they could and rode some over and over and over until we were tired of that ride. It was a super fun long day!

The swings are always a classic. I feel that they should let the little kids (like Spencer) ride this ride if he is with someone else. This ride is no worse than the airplanes or helicopters which they allow little ones to ride. Oh well, I don't make the rules, but hated to see Spencer cry and get upset.

The kids were begging for candy. So, we spoiled them with the great cotton candy! We made sure they brushed their teeth really good when we got home.

The Merry-Go-Round or Carousel was such a hit! We rode this toward sun down and re-entered probably 6-7 times before we moved to another ride. Spencer thought he was riding the real thing. This and the bumper cars were probably Spencer's favorite rides, but who knows, he was pretty much smiles all the time. All the kids loved this classic ride.

Rattlesnake Rapids was fun. Karson got the wettest! Mom and Spencer watched them all get wet. It was nice to cool off in the heat, but the wait in line was awful.

Brynn and Karson behind her and then Braden way back there.
The Skaliwags ride. My kids rode this ride nearly 20 times. There was no line and so they kept on riding and riding. They did have to exit the ride every time and run back in the other way and get back on. They sure love it when they don't have to wait.

These two enjoyed the kid rides, but are getting too big. Soon, they will be riding the bigger kid rides. It's scary for me to think that they are growing up so fast.

They are sure happy. I love seeing my kids happy and enjoying themselves.

Spencer could care less about the bell and driving. He really wanted to touch the water.

Future pilots? I don't know.

Airplanes are one of Brynn's favorite.

Rescue Helicopters are always a favorite.

Helicopters are great!

Pre-School Graduation

Karson had a great year in pre-school. He learned so much, made friends, and had a fabulous teacher who did a great job preparing him for Kindergarten. Enjoy these pictures!
