Yankees Game

This is one of the highlights of the trip. We had a great time at the Yankee game. They played the Orioles and ended up winning 9-8. It was a close game. We had good seats that allowed us to see the entire field. We left in the top of the eighth inning because it was late and kids were really ready to go. We enjoyed foot long hot dogs at $6 each, $5 peanuts, $4 cotton candy, and $5 drinks. I can't forget that Tyler spoiled us with souvenirs. What fun!!

You'll notice the hats! That is what the boys wanted.

Mom and Brynn enjoying the game. Brynn's mouth is full of peanuts.

Another Park in NYC

The water goes flying after Andrew (below) spins it really fast.

When Dominick finds water, there is no keeping him away. Here he is pumping the water for the bowls (pictures above) to have water.

The train .

How do I get on top of those toys to play?

Karson and the boys were playing Star Wars here at the park. This is the day they got their "Jedi swords," and they didn't miss any time to be in action. This park was a fun break for all of us.

Jones Beach

This beach is like the Baywatch beach that I have always imagined going to. It had sand as far as you could see, lifeguards every so often in their white chairs, and people all over with their umbrellas staking their place. It is the Atlantic ocean and was beautiful. We saw some pretty big waves, rode some waves, and enjoyed the sand and sun. Enjoy!

Braden and Dominick enjoyed the wet sand. They sometimes found sand crabs as they were digging. In fact, Dominick even took one home with him.
Brynn's favorite toy at the beaches. She was pretty protective of this wagon.
Brynn loves the sand and was buried several times. Here she is with Michelle, Andrews fiance.
Karson was a little more daring when it came to the big waves than others. He is jumping in the water here.
Andrew and Michelle are helping Karson enjoy the bigger waves.
Andrew helped Karson body surf a wave. Karson is grinning from ear to ear. He wanted to do more.
Braden was content to build things in the sand.
Dad helping build a sand castle with Brynn and Mckenzie
Spencer was fun in the sand. He did not enjoy eating it, although he couldn't avoid it because it was always stuck to him. He was a big trooper!

Stamford CT

These are huge horseshoe crabs. Dominick found these while at the Stamford beach throwing rocks in the water. I was excited to see these after hearing about them. They don't hurt, and are interesting to look at.

Here they are upside down.

Family Picture on the island outside of Monica's place.
Sunday we enjoyed the day going to church, and the beach in Stamford to throw rocks in, and we had a nice family dinner which Monica worked so hard on just outside her apartment. It was fun and relaxing a bit after the busy NYC days.

Sites in NYC

We had a fun, eventful day in NYC trying to see so many different things in the short time we had. We all have to agree that you need many, many different trips to see everything there is to see. NYC is a busy place with a lot to do.

Here is the Statue of Liberty way out there.

This is on Wall St. If I remember correctly, it is the stock exchange building.

The Brooklyn Bridge. Only a few of us chose to walk up this. I was especially impressed with my dad after our long day and the condition with his legs. Way to Go!!

Ground Zero--construction site.

Grand Central Station.

Time Square--this is where the ball drops when it is New Years Eve.

This is my best picture of the Statue of Liberty. It is made with Lego's at Toys R Us in Time Square.

Spencer and Andrew riding the ferris wheel at Toys R Us

Mom, Braden, Brynn riding the ferris wheel at Toys R Us.
Hopefully Monica has a good picture of Karson and Dominick opposite us.

Tired Kids!

This picture is too good to resist. They are all asleep on the ride following their big rainy day in NYC. Besides, they travel better when they are sleeping most of the time.

Museum of Natural History

Today we drove into NYC and parked near the temple. Monica checked the weather report before we left SLC and no rain appeared. Because of this, I did not pack any rain stuff or warm clothes. But, as we know, weather can change in a hurry, and it did. It was pouring rain so badly this day. We walked two blocks to a store to buy umbrellas and were soaked!! Needless to say, we had many more blocks to walk and needed to keep the kids dry, so we purchased umbrellas and did the best we could. It was an adventure that we are sure to remember.

Here are the kids hiding under umbrellas after we ate at the famous Carnegie Deli. They got to ride in a Taxi back to the parking garage because it was too cold for them to walk that far.

Brynn got the most soaked of the kids. We stripped her shirt and had one dry blanket that was inside the stroller compartment that was blocked from the rain because of the umbrella I was holding. Thank goodness for that, because she was freezing.

Spencer was so excited to be out of the stroller for a while during a snack break! He also was eating Cheetos.

Braden and Karson by a huge dinosaur statue.

Each exhibit in the museum has been done with great expertise. These animals and their backgrounds look real. Very well done!

The kids and Abygail!

You can't see very well, but there is a huge whale behind us.

Check out that T-Rex dinosaur.

Playing at the park!

Brynn and Kambree!

Spencer loves the swings!

The three musketeers!

The three monkeys!

Greenwich Beach

This is an awesome beach! It costs a bit of money to go to because we are not residents of Greenwich, however, it was well worth every penny and more. The kids had a bunch of fun. Braden, Brynn, and Karson went all the way out to the buoy with mom and dad. The waves were not real big--perfect for the kids.

Monica and Aaron are holding sand crabs. The seagulls love to eat these and food from people. They were flying everywhere for food. The kids enjoyed chasing them away as they played on the beach also.
Braden and Karson are making a dam. They had some help from other kids also, and it turned out great. This water was like a hot tub. The kids liked to swim here while it was around because it was hot water. The ocean water was a bit colder, but not too cold.

Monica suggested that us sisters get buried. The sand is really heavy, but it made for a good swim and wash in the ocean after.

Nothing like sun bathing on the beach!
Brynn and Kambree finding shells amidst the sand.
Spencer ready for the water after his sunscreen rub.
After mom was buried, Brynn wanted a turn. She could definitely be a beach bum. She played until she was completely worn out. She didn't even want to stop for food. What a princess!!
