New Semester

Heylo darlings!
Sorry I haven't been updating my blog in awhile.
Blame it on my busy weekends.
I'd just started my new semester and I'm dying to share the view from my hostel room.
The view were not spellbinding but it's gorgeous.
I have 6 beautiful people in my room which was a blessed.
Last semester there was 8 people in my room and it was hell.
I'll post a photo of the view really soon, just wait.
In this current semester my timetable are not packed and
my lecturer's are kinda awesome.
My lecturer for Criminology's is manly gorgeous and my Food Chemistry's lecturer is a doll.

But right now all I can think of is I really want to eat cupcakes so bad.
I got this insane idea on what it taste like,
if I mix banana cake (crumble it completely) with cheese,shape it into balls,
and then dip in melted chocolate. Banana Choc and Cheese cakeballs!
I got these idea after I watch this.
And I decided to bake a Apple Carrot Cake with cream cheese topping and walnuts for my family gathering this weekend.
Plus I'd just Google on how to make Chocolate Tartlet and found this recipe. Wanna try it someday.
All I have to do is find a time,hmm..
I also got to meet my schoomates who I haven't seen in ages before the new semester starts.
They look as sweet as ever. Glad to meet you guys!

Happy Fasting, everyone!

Hello gorgeous! 

Its been awhile since I last update my blog.
Sedih sangat sebab my phone connector wire tu tiba-tiba hilang.
Theres like bunch of photos that I really like to share.
About my findings, cakes and my research project.
I don't want to make do by telling you guys my stories without the pictures,so guess I 'll be sharing it some other time later.

By the way,how are you guys doing during these fasting months?
Mine, was a so-so. Basically a no-no. Blame it on me.
I miss my friends as hell.
Its been a couple of years since I had my whole fasting month at home.
Due to  my studies, I often spend my fasting month in college with my darling bumblebees.
Which was magnificent.
We get to go bazaar almost everyday ( Bazaar is the only thing that got me sooo teruja during these fasting month, other than Ramadhans barakah)
And then I got to buy nasi lemak ayam berempah in shah alam which is to die for..

Then bila waktu berbuka, my roommates will form a large circle and makan ramai-ramai. We'll share our drinks and the delicacies that we've bought. Then we'll swap stories and laugh out hard at the silliest things, before we'd realize we're gonna miss our Maghrib prayer time.
It was almost glorious for me and I am at peace.
Or sometimes my bumblebees will bring me to bazaar stadium in shah alam or go somewhere for late bukak puasa. Bestnya!
I really miss those moments. I really do.

Right now, as much as I enjoy my 3 month long holiday,I miss those time of always having someone to hang out with. That's one of the biggest perks of living in a dorm. There's always someone who you can poke.
As I am cruising my way in my holiday mood, my friends are busy with the final year industrial training. All of them,at the same time. I mean, how cruel is that?
Living me alone to comfort myself.

Sure I have my research project going on but still, I need time to laugh out loud or share my stupid jokes, do shopping, or hanging out etc.
And now I feel so blessed to have actually experienced those moments with them. Times might have changed, but memories will live on forever.
Though I do wish to have one more of the moments with them.
Then it'll be a perfect closing.

Quilling After Cramming

Hello people! How was your day? Mine was not too fabulous.

I'm still in Shah Alam with my fellow hummingbirds. Its been 3 days since my final exam ended.And my work load hasn't seem to be decreasing. Final year project+Paperwork+Mock-crime scene.

By the way, I wanna share few things that I've been doing since the finals ended. I've google few blogs and stumble into this blog. It's about paper craft called quilling. I have been so tempted by the simpleness and the colours.  So I decided to do one for mom's birthday card. I watched couple of tutorial video on Youtube. You can watch it right here. Since its my first attempt to do this, don't expect an extravagant one. Plus, I had limited source. It took me 2 hours to made it,from scratch. 

I considered my work was okay for an amateur.

I'm actually looking forward to making more of these. And I am dying to go home. I miss baking! I thought I am so over cupcakes,but after days of google-ing for dessert recipes,I always find myself staring at the cupcakes recipes for hours. So I'm gonna start to bake it again, together with all those recipes I've been bundling. Hooray! Wish I had the time. Remember last semester break? I seriously don't want that. Where I'm always out and not home. I wanna be in my bed, in my room,with my books and the breezing air blowing from my window. And its mom birthday this weekend,so being here has sort of limited my sense of freedom-ness from planning mom's birthday party.

I have also upload new pics on my facebook. Thanks to the constant badgering of my colleagues. Their pics are like 40% from the total pics on my phone. Therefore you'll find most pics are with their picture on it,not mine. 

I've also made the cake+menus+dessert selection for the birthday party. Once I got home,I need to settle the invites and went shopping for my baking materials. Owh, did I tell you my new maid can make bread crumbs,seriously. Mom told me on the phone that she make a croquette-alike,with prawn filling for mom's teatime. Mom thought that she'd used my baking stuff, then she said no,she made it herself. Now I envied her. Haha.

Busy Post

Hello people!!

These past few days I'm living in my seventh heaven.

It was exam month (still is) and I went home!

I had the greatest time. 

Nothing beats a 

home cooked meal+irritating bro and a dotting mom.

Studying at home with the luxury of food and zero responsibilities (except studying) is WOW!

With the hectic life that I have been living the last couple of month,coming home feels like a retreat to heaven.

Not that I can say those hectic time are all behind me. 

Cause once my exam paper is over, my lecturers decide to make a mock-crime scene for us where we have to conduct an investigation,unsupervised, and later present our findings to the board of panels. 

And not to mention writing my final year proposal and project which I'll be performing them in my holidays..yup! 

In Shah Alam, at the faculty lab. Sigh.

But I'm still thankful cause so far everything went pretty well for me. 

Not that amazingly-well,which was what I had hoped for, but pretty well.

My health,friends and even the can-be-predicted weather has been splendid in my exam month.  

And right now I'm keeping my faith in Allah SWT to letting me pass all my exams with flying colours. Amin.

And...mom birthday is coming this month! 

I have to actually tell myself to calm down every time I took a 10-min break from my cramming session when I think about my plans on her birthday. 

Which involves cakes,sweets and colours! Can't wait!

Dear exam, can you fast forward time?

I just can't wait to bake all the recipes that I have been collecting since January...!

I'll be sure to post the picture of my edible goods once I've made it.

I had no idea why the urge to blog, movies downloading, tweeting and facebook-ing are at its peak during this exam month.

But I did had fun doing all of those things..so may be it was for the fun of it. May be.

Super-Busy

This semester I have been really busy with my studies.

My routine is eat,study, eat again and sleep.

I didn't move around much except for my lady fingers on the lappy key board. Which will likely caused my hand to get carpal tunnel (Nauzubillah) and yes I'm not living a healthy life, and yes I've gained weight, and of course I'm exhausted.

Plus I really miss my room.I miss having to wake up on my bed, looking at my window , and just walking in my room. It seems like ages since I last done that. Like I said, I'm super-busy. I haven't been home much.

The fact that I have been so busy, I've missed 3 of my cousin's engagement reception. It's so sad cause I have never missed out anything like this. I mean when it comes to family occasion. 

So it's kinda a huge deal for me.

And I have like another 2 of my cousins engagement to go.

One of them is Kak Marinee..she runs a pretty famous blog right here about weddings. Her blog is really informative so you should check it out. And her blog was featured in March 2011 Intrend magazine '50 BLOG MALAYSIA PILIHAN INTREND'. Seriously,I was so proud of her. 

So I'm looking forward to the reception on next weekend. She requested that I'll come with my Oreo Truffles in tow.Anything for you cousin.

Today seems to be an interesting day but yet I'm still in my super-sleepy mode since Monday.

For no reasons I have been contemplating about going to class all week.

Holding back my months long of homework.

Surfing the net has been a constant passion.

And itching on going home.

Anyway,I would like to share these:

It's a document analysis instrument called Video Spectral Comparator (VSC).

It could enhance latent writing print, examine the document for 

forgery,fake signature, and even observe the safety features+analysis of  bank notes.

The word at third line on the PC screen,

its a actually a word that I have erased/covered

 using correction fluid (liquid paper),

and by using the VHC,we could even see the writings through it.  

Cool right?

 This mini mortar and pestle is endearing..

Its used for grinding chemical substance to be used as a sample for analysis.

This is me,using the comparison microscope for the first time. 

I thought it was a state-of -the-art kind of instrument,

but it turns out to be just regulars microscope with 2 different slide stage that can be viewed using one binoculars.

It is use to compare sample taken from the crime scene and sample taken from suspects.

In Campus

Today is the second day staying in campus.

 my dad birthday was up. 

So I planned to bake a cake.

And it turned out like this:

Then later that night we celebrate at the Subang seafood restaurant near the Subang airport.

It was a blast,for me at least!

I ate 2 whole crab and 6 mantou buns!!

Hmm..Gaining 2 kg and still counting..
