Happy Valentine's Day

If I have the gift of prophecy and can
fathom all mysteries and all knowledge,
and if I have a faith that can move
mountains, but have not love, I am
nothing.
( 1 Corinthians 13:2 *NIV )

Chinese New Year Celebration

We attended the South MS FCC New Year celebration last night. It was a nice event as always. The girls loved wearing their Chinese outfits and running around with many other beautiful Chinese girls and boys. There was dinner, crafts, a silent auction, a "firecracker" dance (their favorite), and a Dragon dance. There were alot of laughs from the kids and a good opportunity for parents to visit. The girls all agreed on the way home that they had a GREAT time.

January happenings

I am going to try to at least have a monthly update this year. January was a long month but we had a lot of important events and milestones...especially for Olivia. She made her first first reconciliation at church. She had to learn several prayers and examine her conscience... It was very special to see her make this Sacrament. She also had her Brownie induction and pinning ceremony. She got to cross over the bridge from Daisy to Brownie. She got inducted to the SOAR club at school for being an outstanding student and received a SOAR medal to wear. Unfortunately she had lost her SOAR membership when she asked "What the hell is wrong with this computer?" at school. I asked her why she would have said something like that at school when she never even says the word "dumb" or "stupid" because they are not nice words. She said that we never told her it was a bad word.. Hmm-well she know now-and Dad needs to watch his mouth in the future!
Ave Kate got her Daisy pin and award for being in Daisies 3 years now (she was an early Daisy with Olivia's class).
We welcomed a new family member to our family-Zeus-a beautiful German Shepherd puppy who lives with Erin and Lee. He is going to puppy classes in Jackson and is at the top of his class. Smart and beautiful-and Erin has taught him many tricks and he rings a bell with his paw to go outside.
Last but not least Cohen had his 3rd birthday party at Chuck E Cheese and we took the girls and had a grand time.
