Laying Low in Low Country

We are in Hilton Head for our yearly anniversary trip. We are as always, doing alot of relaxing. The weather is cold and windy but we did have a couple of good days for the beach. It was Lily's first view of the ocean and it was love at first sight. Thank goodness-we have yet another beach girl.

Since the girls are missing 2 weeks of school I am trying to plan daily educational activities. We are reading a book about a lighthouse and will go tour a lighthouse today. Olivia is doing daily work that her teacher sent with her. We have also visited the local library.

Olivia and I had a girl's day together yesterday and had a great time exploring the island shops. She is learning how to count money in school so we went to several thrift shops so she could buy items and count out her money.

We all got haircuts Tuesday and Olivia donated her 11 inch ponytail to locks of love. We are so proud of her. Her new little bob haircut is adorable on her

Mardi Gras Parade

We rode in the Mardi Gras parade today. It was the girls' as well as my first time to ride. The theme of our float was Peter Pan. We all had alot of fun. Olivia and Ave Kate loved throwing the beads and goodies out as we rode past the crowds of people. Lily stayed with Dad because she is just not big enough. Afterwards we all went for pizza.
